“As the Senate wrestled with whether to begin debate on President Donald Trump’s megabill, a few key Republican allies spent part of the afternoon golfing with the president at his nearby club in Northern Virginia,” USA TODAY wrote.
“Trump, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and GOP Sens. Eric Schmitt of Missouri, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina played golf a few hours before the Senate voted to debate the so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill.'”
President Trump is an avid golfer. Some have suggested that President Trump loves golf than anything else. He owns several prestigious courses around the globe. Despite being President of the United States, Trump still manages to play several rounds of golf per month most of the time.

President Trump plays a lot of golf and his reported handicap has been making headlines.

The President of the United States has an official handicap of 2.8, according to the Golf Handicap & Information Network. The GHIN requires players to submit their own scores to keep track of a handicap. The closer to zero, the better. A 2.8 handicap would make President Trump one of the best golfers in the world for someone of his age.
But is it legitimate?
Unsurprisingly, with President Trump, it’s controversial.
“As a PGA teaching professional, I have looked at his swing in close detail, and I totally agree. His is not the swing of a 2.8 handicap player,” one fan wrote.
“I don’t play golf but I heard his foot wedge is amazing and he takes 15’ or longer gimmes on the green. I knew a starter at one of his courses,” one fan joked.

“I believe a 2.8 handicap as much as I believe anything that Trump says,” one fan added.
“That’s nothing, mine’s 1.3 and Iv’e never played,” another fan joked.
“Could he prove that number in a live telecasted tournament?” one fan added.
“No one who knows golf really believes Trump carries a 2.8 handicap on legitimate golf courses. He has a well-earned reputation for winning tournaments when no one saw him play. He has a good swing, and he might have a 20 handicap, but he fits the profile of a golfer who invents his own handicap,” one fan added.
