Loss of spine angle, or posture, or early extension all mean the same thing for golfers – standing up too much during your down swing. This results in a lack of body rotation through impact, meaning you aren’t hitting the ball as far as you could, difficulty in controlling the club face, meaning you aren’t as accurate as you could be and inconsistent strikes from the club face, meaning a variation in shot trajectory.
