Right, golfers, you want to hit better straighter drives, but you find yourself kind of burying the club in behind you, get stuck behind your arms across your body. Let’s stop doing that. Do this. Rather than open the shoulders up early, slowly pulling the club behind you, I would like you to start pulling the club back straighter and quicker. Let the club outrun your shoulders at the start. So, it’s more arms than shoulders, which will keep the club outside of your hands. Then, when your shoulders kick in, you’ll turn behind it, get on a better path, hit better drives. Oh, don’t start with the ball position way forward in your stance. Get it just inside lead heel. This will promote way better body shapes and get rid of these big leaning forward shoulder turns that creates over-the-top down swings, encouraging the huge slice. I want you to turn the wrist this way. This will encourage a better use of the face, getting rid of that horribly opened path face that so many struggle with giving it those big slice shots. Turning that back of that wrist behind you on the way down is just going to help you get much more face control for straighter shot. Use these tips for better golf shots.
