This is the 1/1/1973 Notre Dame vs Nebraska game. Notre Dame was a decent but not great team by their own standards. They had been upset by Missouri and taken apart, almost single handedly by Antony Davis in a game at USC. Nebraska was an anomoly in my history books. How this dynamite team lost twice and tied once is beyond me. They certainly put it together for this game. They had a couple during the regular season, including a 77-7 win over Army, where they seemed capable of playing in the NFL. This was the last, best showing for this talented unit led by Johnny Rodgers. The second half is a film with radio. I claim no rights.

  1. As a non american who has just gotten into football recently this is becoming my favorite channell. Keep it up the good work 🙂

  2. ND was never in this game. As Tom Pagna put it, "I think we all wished we could have left at halftime."

  3. Wow, another missing gem. I don't know where you get them but keep them coming. This game has another sensational punt return by Johnny Rodgers.
