No severe damage to Minot golf courses following winter snowmobile vandalism

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – This winter, snowmobiles damaged Minot golf courses. Now that the snow has melted, Minot Parks is getting a clearer picture of the damage.

At the time, they said green damage at the Souris Valley Golf Course and Jack Hoeven Wee Links could cost thousands of dollars to fix.

Thankfully, Jarrod Olson with the district said it’s not as bad as they thought it would be.

They’ll be able to handle the repairs in-house, saving them up to $6,000 in repairs.

“It’ll be significantly less than what we anticipated. It’s mainly our staff labor and just materials,” said Olson.

The courses are open for the season.
