hello members welcome back to on the range with Ryan uh we have a beautiful day here out on hole number 18 of Lewis and Clark we’re going to talk about s Hill lies um but first of all I want to remind everyone junior golf is rapidly approaching we have our first tiny tigers this Thursday at 5:30 uh there’s still time to sign up operation 36 is a week away on Wednesday mornings and then lastly we have room in our full day camp with Brooks and I uh full day or half day I should say starting June 4th through the 7th um feel free to reach out if you need help signing up if you have a friend a neighbor and you’re already registered or if you want them to come with you just reach out to myself and we’ll take care of that because we have a few spots remaining um but once again we’re out on a side Hill Eye here we missed the ball off the te a little bit out to the right um so here the ball is above my feet so when I line up to it you can see where my shoes are that ball is a lot higher than normal so we have to do a couple of things with our setup so first of all we want to make the club shorter cuz the ball is up higher so simply just move your hands down the grip uh 2 or 3 in uh all the way down if you can and then secondly setup wise we want to stand a little bit taller than normal so normal my posture would be about right here here because the ball is up we’re going to stand a little bit taller the ball is going to typically want to move with the slope so you might want to aim a little bit to the right here for a right-handed golfer cu the slope is going to push it five or 10 yards maybe to the left uh depending on your swing so now what do we do if the ball is below our feet so if I’m hitting back towards the camera and I address the ball now the ball is well below my feet so now we have to kind of do the opposite so we’re going to hold the club normally in our grip all the way at the top now we want to get wider wider is going to do two things it’s going to give us balance for odd uh slope here that can easily fall off balance the other thing it’s going to help lower you down so the wider your feet get more balance it already kind of lowers you down a little bit then bend the knees and just try and feel lower and closer to the ball now from this SL I wouldn’t swing full it’s easy to fall off balance if we’re trying to make our typical full 100% swing so I would if you’re I would add a club so if you’re add a nine iron just grab your eight iron swing a little smoother and try and have a nice balance follow through um hopefully that clears that up I’ve had a couple people ask me lately about s Hill eyes so hopefully that helps and if you have any recommendations shots out on the golf course or how to fix a certain strike of the ball or ball flight just feel free to email me cuz I need future content so any ideas you have feel free to reach out to me and I appreciate it and look forward to seeing you next time on the range with Ryan
