  1. That has to be one of the best descriptions of hip movement I've seen; top class stuff Andy
    Cheers

  2. This is exactly what I am working on. Concentrating on a deep trail hip in the backswing. I probably over rotate my hips doing it and I have indeed felt a sensation of swaying forward a bit at the downswing. Definitely improved my ball striking and compression of the ball. Seems impossible to swing over the top with a good lower half turn.

  3. Andy thank you so much for this explanation of the hips. It’s been a key area I need to work on to help my rotation and not feeling stuck on my right side. Great tip.

  4. Can you please help Rick keep the clubface square upon takeaway? You can see his really bad shots before he even hits it!
    Enjoy your vids mate.

  5. I struggle with hip rotation during the downswig/impact. I used the app 18 birdies and it said I don’t rotate enough 😂.

  6. Excellent instruction. I had never heard of the hip rotation being taught. This will allow me to check my swing, grip, upper rotate, lower rotate to 45, kenn check, I will tend to try and sway when I really try to bomb it. I noticed when I do not try to bomb it I hit it longer with more control

  7. From the begining I was working on my swing to be effortless as possible, as I believed that it is possible to swing the club with it's natural cadence and rythm.
My swing is what I call "flail swing". Loose wrist, stiff arms. I use gravity, momentum and centrifugal force to accelerate and position the club in the 3d space.
When the club goes through the ball I feel it like a living creature, with increasing force trying to be free, with the characteristic "wham" right in the impact. Not always right in the impact, still working on it.
The small complication is that I don't hold the club so firm to manipulate the club face. To hit fade or draw I have to make proper moves with my arms in the top of the back swing…
