  1. To take a quote from a late movie.."It looks like a fat ladys shoe…" that being said..how would you rate these irons over the Wilson Staff D 9 iron which are better looking and also very forgiven????

  2. Get Harrison to buy them he needs to hit straight shots, he's not doing it with those Mizuno

  3. Bought 6-P last April. Excellent investment. Very easy to hit. They replaced Callaway Rogues. No comparison. Thought I wouldn’t like the PW, but ended up liking it so much I ordered the D.

  4. Been using the Turbos for the last 3 years replacing my M4s. Nice high laugh and good distance. 4 iron is amazing. Great distance. Shooting low scores. At 72 , I’m getting my lower scores back, shooting in the mid to high 70s. Not all the time mine you but enough. No one has even asked me to take a picture of my clubs with my score.

  5. Old and starting in on game. Cannot get my head around reviews about how the club sounds, and what they look like. All I would look at is how I can hit them. Period. End. Fini. Etc.

  6. When Winter golf arrives I put 6,7 & 8 Callaway Rogue X hybrids in the bag. Just easier to hit. I'm 68 so might keep them in the bag next year when warm weather returns.

  7. I found myself being a Golf snob a while back, I always played Mizuno Blades. Can’t play enough to hit them consistent, so I finally grabbed a set of 923 hm Pro, I enjoy Golf again. They are so much more fun to play with. Golf is hard enough, there are Clubs designed to help.

  8. Andy… I love your reviews and watch them for their true value no matter what the subject….. But….Holding off on telling us what the brand and model so we watch the video longer makes a lot of people either turn the channel or skip to the end and then turn the channel. Suspense only works for people who watch network tv shows. 😢

  9. I had them and liked them. I then tried the second generation of the Wilson launchpads and I found the Wilson’s even better. But he is right.. ego will get in the way of many gaming these. What’s odd to me is does anyone care (or notice) what clubs anyone plays?

  10. Really would like to see you compare these vs the Cobra T-Rails.

I have a set of T-Rails and they have transformed my game. Also tested the Clevelands in 2020 and got similar performance to the Cobra’s. I ultimately chose the Cobra bases on my preference for the looks

  11. These look great….. I game Sub 70 799s. Ordered to my specs, graphite 5-aw. Head covers included. Love the backs. No paint to chip. $600 and 60 day return policy. They helped with my fitting as well. Can’t beat them …… check them out….. ty for the video

  12. I got these Irons at the start of the season, but I've been having an issue with pulling these left, is it the offset? Normal irons typically go right if anything for me. Been out for 20 games now, still can't correct it. Anyone else experience this? Maybe I just need to get fitted.

  13. I'm a once a fortnight golfer with a slow swing speed and a bad back, and I tried many super game improvement sets before finally landing on these beauty's.

Even with large OS shapes and fully cavity backs, my 7 iron was only going 145 yards and couldn't hit any iron over that… So no 6, or 5 iron.
But with these my 7 iron goes 165-175 yards, my 6 iron goes 175-185,and my 5 iron goes around 195 yards.

If an OS shape or a full cavity back is called a super game improvement iron, then these must be called "super duper game improvement" category. They hit rockets! And very straight. Since using them I've been within inches of 2 HIO and one 145 yard eagle which hit the flag and bounced out.

The 4h is also an incredible addition to this set.

No bonus points for making the game harder, I use all the most forgiving clubs I can get my hands on.

    G425 max driver
    XL halo hybrid
    XL halo irons
    Cleveland CBX2 wedges
    A cleveland smart sole chipper
    And a mallet putter
(got a lot of clevelands in there, but it wasnt intentional, they just make seriously forgiving clubs aimed at people like me.)

  14. My first year playing golf. I'd not broken 100 all year, bought these 4i through to SW and posted 87 first time out with them. Huge improvement. Sometimes I'm more confident off the tee with the 4 iron than my driver with a 10'oclock swing it goes 210 yard. Love them

  15. The biggest challenge Cleveland has, is that many professional shops do not hold these clubs for us to try.

  16. Interesting video Andy. I think for a beginner or slow swing speed golf Cleveland offers the best value available from Driver all the way to putter including some great wedges if you want some finesse around the green

  17. i am looking at Hybrid irons, would these be good for a newbie/high handicapper

  18. I use the launcher hb turbo irons and love them I'm 65yo and enjoying my golf again. Today I will be trying out the launcher hb turbo driver, see how it goes. Great channel thanks.

  19. I bought a set of clubs from the pawn shop to get me started.
In the past 12 months I've been adding to the bag and all but 1 of the clubs I've added have been Cleveland.
I'll definitely be looking at these to replace my irons.

  20. I’ve been playing the Cleveland Launcher for 5 years now and they do everything you say, I love my pitching wedge for chipping, now if I can only get my swing in order!

  21. I already own the Cleveland Launcher Halo XL hybrid, which immediately became my favourite, most reliable club in the bag. And I'm thinking about investing in a Halo XL hi-wood, as the online feedback about that club has been very positive. I'm just not sure I could play the Halo XL irons (pretty much for the ego-related reasons you discuss in this video). I know it's irrational. If I play better with the Halo XL irons, it would be daft to not use them. But perhaps playing golf is a daft thing to do in the first place, so maybe that's not such a bad thing! Anyway, good video. Have now subscribed to the channel.

  22. Nice review, thank you. These clubs don't sacrifice spin + good decent angle so you can hold the greens. For more info TXG tested these and the Sub 70 799's. Also, mygolfspy did a 2022 most wanted test on SGI irons with data. My take is these SGI irons are all pretty similar (good launch & distance) but where the difference lies is in the dispersion/shot area. Based on the mygolfspy data the Sub 70's, Tour Edge ES522, and Halo's were very consistent and the Wilson's and others had much higher dispersion.

  23. I knew what they were before you even mentioned the name. When I was looking for some GI irons I had them on my short list. But when I got a hands on I could just not do it. I went with the Callaway Rogue (PW and 9i) and TM Stealth (8 and 6 irons – no 7). I could not decide so got them both and they are easy to hit as well. I did pick up the Cleveland Launcher 3+ Hy-Wood and it is a very versatile and easy to hit club. So in the end I guess the looks do matter somewhat to me. But never know I might get one yet to test out. I mean the price is definitely right. I just don't see these going in your bag Andy….easy to hit or not.

  24. I compared these irons side by side with cobra T-Rail….. I went with cobra but both were very gentle on the body… that was my goal… longevity. easier on the hands and joints with the graphite shafts and wider sweet spot. it just makes sense… and this is coming from a guy who loves hitting many many balls on the range… probably to my detriment…. but so be it….. it's better than paying for a therapist…

  25. I'm more interested whether the distance control / gapping is consistent. That being said, I'm a sucker for Cleveland's driver.

  26. Hi Andy, you test many clubs and I am assuming that they are not all custom fitted to you. How does this effect your ability to give a true opinion. For example if the lie is wrong surely this would effect the clubface at impact likewise shaft flex would effect results especially your dry ball data. Interested to know your thoughts on this.

  27. At some point we have to get past this “ how they look “ snobbery, we are amateur golfers not pros. Surely common sense has to prevail especially,y as a golfer gets older. I would to see a dry ball test of the seven iron against what you have the bag now for a seven iron. It would be interesting to the average result for each club with a good number of balls being hit? We’re the clubs you were testing fitted with iron or graphic shafts? It was hard to tell as they looked black?

  28. Nope, no chance would they go in the bag. I don't care if they hit the ball for me, those clubs are beyond hideous. Would I play a round with them for fun? 100%, but afterwards I would store them next to my Segway and Crocks collection.

  29. I tried the wilson LP and the tour edge E522 and the results from the tour edge was amazing I bet they would out perform the Cleveland's if not similar. Pls do a comparison.

  30. How does this one compare to the PXG 0211 Z Hybrid-Irons and the Wilson Staff 2022 Launch Pad Irons?

  31. Quick question Andy, before you take these out on the course do you do any work with the launch monitor to find out your distances ?

  32. First of all, thank you for this review Andy. Actually I have built my set a bit like many regular readers according to their playing level and age,(see comments below). Driver PING G425 12°; 3 wood PING G410 SFT 16°; 5 wood PING G410 19°:7 wood PING G400 21.5°; 9 wood PING G400 24.5°; PING 6H G410 29°; PING G425 7H 34° (Secret Weapon); PING I210 8-9-P-U irons; PING EYE 2 XG S55° & L62°, Odyssey putter Stroke Lab Double Wide. So my only concern, is about the possibility to go with this kind of club from 6 to G…let me know. Bonjour from Boucherville South shore of Montréal, QC, CAN

  33. So Andy, will you be gaming them? If no, why not? You're a very good golfer but why play something harder to hit and less forgiving? As long as these irons give consistent distances with good height/spin and stopping power, why couldn't/shouldn't a single digit handicap use them?

  34. I would consider the 4-6 irons…yes! But from 7-PW I would go more "traditional"

  35. I have said this elsewhere and I will say it here: I truly believe that hybrid irons are THE wave of the future for a large percentage of golfers. They offer distance and forgiveness that regular club(head)s cannot match. I believe that the brands that offer them are making a big mistake in marketing these to (just) ladies, seniors and beginners. Me? I am in the process of switching to a hybrid set myself.
