Sepp Straka expects survival mode at Pebble Beach.
After a rollercoaster round — struggling on the front nine and flipping the script on the back — Straka says Sunday could be “pretty dicey” with gusts forecasted up to 30–35 mph.
“They’re going to have to find a way to slow these greens down… we were struggling to keep the ball from rolling.”
In this candid press conference, Straka discusses:
A frustrating front nine followed by a strong back-nine surge
Climbing the leaderboard after being over par at the turn
How shifting wind directions changed everything
Why attitude isn’t everything — but never giving up is
Executing shots even when conditions don’t allow perfection
“You can have a pretty bad attitude and still play some good golf… the most important thing is not giving up on yourself.”
With extreme wind expected, Pebble could become a survival test.
