Birdie Kim remains the last player to win the U.S. Women’s Open (2005) after advancing through qualifying. In 2025, 11 golfers who advanced through qualifying made the 36-hole cut at Erin Hills, with Hailee Cooper (T7, 3-under 285) leading all qualifiers.
The USGA accepted 1,904 entries for the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills, the second-highest total in championship history. The record of 2,107 entries was set at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The 2026 championship will be the 95th USGA championship contested in California and the sixth U.S. Women’s Open held in the state. California last hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 2023, when Allisen Corpuz won by three at Pebble Beach.
