If you got free relief from a divot, no one would ever repair a divot, fairways would look like minefields. If it was repaired properly by the lazy idiot ahead of him there wouldn't be an issue.
Yeah it sucks to end in a divot but no need to dig a bigger hole after the shot. Imagine what the next guy has to deal with. Sure it will be filled in but that could be a wrist breaker.

Nah suck it up and play it where it lies, same for everyone.
Ground under repair but we pretend it’s part of the game for some reason
Dude over did that 😭
People who dont think this rule should be changed are the golfers that everyone hates golfing with.
Yeah fuck the greenkeepers who are out dusk till dawn for idiots.
Golf has the most asinine pretension rules of any sport
Too many rules in golf……
Play better

Should absolutely get relief from a divot anywhere on the course. It’s ground under repair.
Divot or no divot. If it’s not a perfect lie in the fairway you should get a free drop.
Nope. You don’t get relief.
Ha hah
Amateurs should for sure, the professionals should be able to handle it
Should be GUR
What is a divot? If allowed, players would soon be declaring any slight indentation or irregularity as a "divot." Who calls it and how?
