I still think he can stop it coming over the bunker. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh wow. Almost put that one in on the fly. Well, trying to answer for the Europeans. And that’s on a really nice line. Oh wow. Thomas Bjorn throwing a dart here at the third. kind of like that if it’s the right weight. Oh, it’s the right weight. How about those shots? Five of the six for 165. Just swings the shoulders and arms. Doesn’t get the hands involved much. This better slow down. Slows down. Look at I stole it, boys. It hit a marker. That would have gone off the green. Oh my gosh. See if he takes a little of the air out of this and try to drive it in a little bit more. Oh yeah. Good call, Billy. It’s exactly what he did. What a hero he’s been to so many young Koreans who want to get in this game. Look at this. HJH Showy rolling in the birdie putt. And that team needed it. He’s come close to making a couple of these already today. And there’s a par. What a clutch up and down par right there by Darren Clark. Really good angle. Good lie even though he’s in the right hand rough. That’s it. That’s it. That’s it. That’s it. He liked it for good reason. Shocking, isn’t it? You need to carry it all the way up the hole. There’s a little bit of slope. You could spin it back a lot here. That is perfectly done. Puts it inside of Stricker over at the second third shot right just a little bit ever. Oh, look at this. Cabrera holds out. Well, that will be a couple of points. KJ Choy is like, “Wait, let me let me get rid of this banana first.” At the third, KJ Troy, look at birdie just putting it down the hill going down into little valley. This one looks good, guys. Oh man, KJ Troy again. That’s got to be his third or fourth putt of at least 15 feet for birdie. Steve Stricker going for it and two. Yeah, he took Jason’s Justin’s drive even though it was much further and he has just absolutely laced it right at the flag stick. Look at this one, guys. What a phenomenal shot right there by Stricker. I guess they made the correct choice. Just seen Stricker hit this amazing shot. Let’s see if he can do something equal. And this one looks good. Really good. How about this guys? They’re making a par five look like a short par4 right now. NF. Well played. Oh, how good is this? How good is this? Wow. Wow. This is his kind of putt. Right to left or down the hill. Just kind of feed it down there. Oh, he got it. A big two-pointer. KJ’s made most of their putts today. be a nice way to finish up with one. And he does. You know, he deserved it after that T- shot. What a finish. Love the pace with with which he plays. Grabbing this one. This is more aggressive. Oh, beautiful shot right there by Jason Karen. Luckily, the hole is caught in that left corner. If it was in the right part of the green, he’d have a lot of tree trouble. Wind left to right. That helps. Really a beautiful play. Oh, what a shot. You see him? He doesn’t get in trouble very often, but if you can get out of it like that, all is well. Oh, this one down the hill down grain. Oh, just perfect. How about that? This from 130. Bit of a hanging lie. This whole plate downwind yesterday. Winds out of the left today and a bit longer. No problem there though. Left cut hole location. We saw Cabrera make it here yesterday for an eagle from about the same distance. Oh, what a shot. Almost won in twice. Oh man. Delicate little shot. Flip over the bunker. Oh wow. Beautifully done. [Applause] really playing difficult. Hard to pull the right club. Well, that’s the right distance. Oh, is it the right distance? Pulled it so far to the left he put it in the penalty area. So, you’re saying they’re going to take Montgomery’s? Yes, indeed. And what a golf shot by KJ Chill. So it works both ways. Stricker with his second. We’re just having some fun with him. Stricker from 99 yards and it’s all over. Another good wet shot. Now let’s see if they should have learned something from Darren. Should have learned a lot from Darren. Oh, look at that huge first fist pump we’ve seen. Steuart sink. Yeah, just outside 100 yards. And you see the wind pulled down from the left and good looking. Very good looking match back here. That is the third for yang. [Applause] Are you kidding? [Applause] And he did. What a beautiful play. Just such a great move. It’s helping. And a little bit out of the left. Just hit it solid and get it up in the air. Beautiful shot. Look at this. Look at this. Look at this. Oh my gosh. Nearly a hole in one on the par4. Mike Weir’s like, I don’t have to hit. Clutch putt right there. The international team cheering on this final group as they have nine and a half points through eight holes. KJ Choy, another birdie putt. And now he snakes in the side for a point. Walking it in. This guy is fun to watch. Heler for birdie. Same line striker came in. Should be going left at the end. Did he hit it enough? He did barely. but barely works. Putting through a lot of fringe. He’s got to really hit this one firmly. Looks good for Eagle. Look at this guy. There you see the different grain. Look out right now. Oh, what a putt. He needed that finally. Now he says, “Forget lunch. Let’s keep on going.” This is a left-handed hooking putt and it’s fast. Oh, there we go. Steve Flesh like Jerry Kelly. A long birdie putt at the last hole as we find the second group in the fairway at one. And Billy Cratch’s there. Yeah, that from 105 yards. And boy, just like earlier today, nice little start by Darren Green. And Steve Flesh has this putt for birdie. Sauren Kelson still has a birdie putt as well. And that’s backto back long putts made by Steve Flesh. He made one to close out his opening round. 13 and 12 points this morning. [Music] And that’s why just target practice right now for these guys. Playing a big sweeping high hook. He’s watching this. Yeah, I would be too. You could see that walk. He knew he hit the shot that he wanted. Colin Montgomery playing his third at the fifth. couldn’t reach the green in two, so he laid up. That’s from 96. [Music] Well, that’s maybe not the way I’d have drawn it up, but beautifully played for birdie at the third and two more points for the US. Jason Karen doing it again. Elson playing here this afternoon for Alex Jacob from 172. Well done. Played a beautiful second. [Music] Needed it. A nice little hole location in the back middle of the screen. Kind of in a little bit of a bowl. Little low area. If you hit it in there, it’s going to just get closer to the hole. Look at this one. Look at this one. Terry gave him one less yard than he needed. Go a pretty good ways back there. Flagstick back right there. What a shot. Looks like Steen close enough to make par. Colin McGomery on a adventure of his own. [Music] Two points for Alpato to the fifth. You can just barely see Steve Flesh behind those trees. There he is. This is his third. [Music] What a shot. [Applause] 115 yds with the whole cut in the back portion of the green. You got to throw it all the way back there. Well, this looks good. Oh, you got to be kidding me. It’s better than good. He’s in an eagle the first five holes out the hole. Couple of balls for one and a half points and that will clench the cup for the Europeans. They needed 224. That is 224 and the vice captain does it again here for Europe. Europeans finished third back in 2023. This year they’ll finish first. I think they will have some fun tonight. There’s the European flag. Steuart Sink coming over to say congratulations. And [Laughter] they’re just waiting to pop the champagne. guy right here in Langanger who’s 68 and if he were to make a birdie here he would shoot 29. Able to be teammates here on this team and now Langanger for the one blemish the entire day but the veteran the unofficial captain bringing it home. [Applause] Stricker is there. And now everybody throw the hats on. [Applause] They’ve been waiting. The wait is over. [Applause] [Music] Champagne is always good. After the victory, it’s even better. What?
