Can Scratch Golfer Break 80 at the HARDEST COURSE on Tour?!

[Music] Baby. [Music] All right, Pete. How are you feeling today? Um, I’m currently trying to find um my painkillers. So, that’s uh that’s something. I have found a razor, though. the last golf course we were at. I uh accidentally went to the gym yesterday. That’s the thing. So, I’m feeling a bit stiff and I don’t feel very fast, right? Which I think around this golf course you need to be. I’m saying this, we’ve never played. Like, we’ve never done the Blue Monster before. 8,000 y off the back. It’s quite warm today, but I’m nervous. I think breaking 80 today would be uh I don’t know. I think it rank up there as one of my greatest achievements in in sport. I think so. Being the athlete that I am. So, it’s just me and Kieran today as well. So, I should be able to get around relatively quickly. Probably my main concern about this place is off the tea. I’m driving in pretty well. Got distance, but like my iron play iron play still needs like quite a bit of work. So, on courses that I’ve been playing recently, none of them have been that long. So, I’ve been able to like bomb it and then my second shots, you know, realistically apart from par five is not overly tricky. Like maximum distance, like 160, 170 yards, but I think we’re going to have a lot of like 180s, 180s, 200 today. Long clubs. A lot of long clubs. Kieran, listen. I’m aware. All right. I’m aware that the deck is stacked against me. All right. I know how hard this is going to be. I know this is going to be literally one of the toughest tests in golf. It’s called that for a reason. Yeah. It’s not called the blue cuddly monkey, is it? Right. First, it’s par five. Um 580 yards. So, we’re taking it out because that’s what the blue monster is kind of all about. I’m always nervous when I look down and I see a par4 beginning with a five and a par five beginning with a six. As far as yacht is go, that’s never that’s never a great sign, is it? But par five to begin with, that’s always a treat. So, we just got to keep it up that left side. There’s a little bit of breeze about today. All right. Good luck, mate. Good luck, mate. Well, yeah. So, that left edge. Yeah, it’ll be all right. Just hopefully it’s not quite crept into the trees. I’ve got a feeling though like a lot of these par fives like normally par fives are for me that’s where I’m going to make my score. Yeah. Today I think we’re going to be hitting a lot of layoffs. I think we’ve got four par fives. I think we’ve got a couple of challenges going on. First challenge to go around this golf course with one golf ball. Yeah. Let’s get them up. One golf ball. Okay. Second is to try and reach a par five into Yeah. Third is to break 80. Yep. I said let’s let’s do that into two nines as well. So let’s break 40, break 40, then break 80 overall. Yeah. Okay. Like that. Come on. Right. 278 y to the pin. I mean I could try an extraordinary shot, but I’m just going to hit a five iron. Just try and take my medicine. There’s water up by the right of this green. I There’s water everywhere on this golf course. That’s what put the blue That’s what puts the blue in the monster. Okay, back in play. Just It’s going to be a real like war of attrition today. It’s just try and desperately keep it in play. Keep those massive numbers off the card. 104 yards. Pin is at the front. Actually, left myself a terrible angle in here. Half a gap wedge in. Take a little bit of spin off it. The greens that we’ve been playing on recently have been very fast. Tiny bit left of the pin. Little bit of cut spin. Just try and edge it back to the hole. Pretty good for distance. Should be pretty good. Really annoyingly, I’ve got a bit of Chipotle chicken wrap stuck to my teeth. It’s like blanketing my mouth. It’s very nice, but it’s sticky. And the facials you’ll be making. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I mean, that’s a good shot. And as everyone knows, I am, you know, one of the best putters in the world. This green’s quite funky. So, you got to remember that like Deral when it was on the PJ tour, Yeah. it was literally the hardest course that they have. So you’ve got the length. That’s huge. We need we know about that. But this is a par five green and it is So this is in the middle. Shall we get a step counter on? Have you have you ever done a step tracer before? Never done a step tracer. So 16 yards. 16 yards. 16 yards. So what does that work out at? Like I don’t know just under 30 foot maybe. Yeah. On a par five green. Water right. Water right. Yeah. Just slips down. Pass start. Really nice roll. Yeah. Nicer greens. Nicer speed. Yeah. Obviously, I don’t know the order of these videos coming out, but the we’re doing a video Eagle Point, which to go from them to these, I think is going to be quite a nice, pleasant, relaxing change to be honest with you. All right, [Music] almost without exception, every par four, every par five, I’m on there and it’s going to be a driver. We got 480 yards here. Um, par 4 back into a bit of wind. Bit of spit in there as well. Yeah, you told me it was going to be sunny today. I did. I did. And yeah, I did. And it’s liar. Nice drive, Pete. Yeah, that’ll do. Lovely. It’s just reached the fairway. Yeah, I’m um I’m not entirely sure how to approach this. So, I’m tempted with a course this long, like literally just to open my shoulders and just try and rip the absolute crap out of everything, but I don’t know if that’s the play. If I hit a good drive, it’s going to be carrying 290 at a nice smooth speed. Like, that’s fine. Yeah, I just got to rely on my iron play. But iron play is not strength here. like organization and knitting. 175 into the hole. Um, which with my new yardages, it’s kind of pushing a seven iron. So, I’m just going to hit a nice smooth six just left of the pin. What a shot, Pete. That had everything. That it’s it’s a little bit of a simulator. That has absolutely everything. Okay. Jeez. It’s kind of like the curse of talking through a YouTube shot. So, I was aiming probably 10 yards left of where that’s finished. Um, just kind of came off a little bit right, but held nicely. It was a great strike. Maybe I am like a really good iron player. I didn’t realize. Maybe maybe this is like a new level going to be unlocked today. The hardest golf course in the United States of America practically the entire world meets me. All right. So, kind of moving off to the left a little bit down slope. So, you got like a one and a half degree this way and again grain moving off to the left. So, I’m going to play as a twoderee slope. Too hard on that line. Too hard on that line. And I set it out. I was basically aiming for this and I kind of set it out on that. A classic push. Okay. Very good. Yeah. I mean, we will take it. Level path through two holes. Let’s keep keeping up. [Music] Yeah. Really did not think it was over a flight path. It’s under a flight path cuz that’s how it works. What did I say? Over a flight. Over a flight path. Yeah. Wow. Look at this one. It’s fine. But yeah, we need if you’re going to need aviation terms, we want to get them correct. Yeah. Correctly. Want to get them correctly. So, we got 400 and Well, it’s 400 from there. Card in the buggy. I think it’s like 4 30 I suppose. um line is the bunks in the background. They are about 300 away. So if I catch a really good drive, I might get there, but it’s soft, so it’s kind of stopping where it pitches. So I’m going to aim at those bunkers. If it goes in the bunker, then it’s going to leave a good angle in anyway. I’m pretty good at fairway bunkers. That’s a soft bounce. Just short. Short. Just short. Good. Yeah. Like obviously it’s a real with the length that it is, it’s just it’s a driver’s golf course. Like you have to be driving it well. And so far, touchwood, it’s been all right. Okay. 75 to the pit. I mean, it’s basically the same uh same shot as the last hole. There’s obviously no prizes for being short here. Uh, and also I don’t really want to go chasing that pin which is tucked tight on the right. So you got the three palm trees behind the hole. Um, well the the two palm trees behind the hole. I’m going for the the left one. Straight at that. Nice shot. That’s very professional this so far, isn’t it? This is weird. Wind’s died off now as well. So, yeah. And that’s a big that is a big factor if it is a calm day. That’s going to make such a huge difference, isn’t it? Cuz yeah, if it’s uh if it’s blowing around here, like what an extra level of chaos that would be. And would you I mean around this course 8,000 y, five handicapper, 10 handicapper, 15 handicap golfer shoot. Yeah. Get down to comments. Let us know what you think. Where did that pitch that had like quite No, it’s only about 6 foot. Oh, right. So, you’re still getting a bit of spin off the kind of I’m not I’m not sure it’s spin. Um more it’s just like stop. Yeah. Yeah. Like the greens are very I don’t know. They’re not soft, but they’re pretty receptive. And the the Bermuda and like the kind of sandy subs soil it Yeah. helps the ball stop really quickly. Pini is a sign of quality ball striking. And look at this green as well. Not really many easy pins on here, is there? No. Right, we have birdie put. Um, it’s a big breaker from left to right once it gets over this slope. Do it for me. Do it for me. Oh, I’m lucky. That was a good put. Yeah, that was a good put. See how we just kind of ran out of pace? Yeah, like how how the top guys like how the pros go from like the speeds each week is is amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been on a green. I mean, this is what about 10 11 on the stimp maybe. Yeah. And to get on these greens and think, “Oh, these are pretty slow.” Especially in October. Wow. All right, it’s another par. Some good golf so far. Keep it going. [Music] 220 yards all over water. There is a fairway to the left, so I could lay up. There is a still a slight bit of breeze just behind, so I think a four iron is good. And it’s kind of like a four iron straight at the pin. I mean, the pin is middle of the green. So, I don’t want to be right of it. I mean, right is the real danger. A miss left would be all right, even if it goes in that bunker. So, four iron straight at it. Make the cover. Make the cover. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Yeah. I struck it. I struck it. Well, I was a bit didn’t like that coming through impact. That was a bit Didn’t like it. Just what a bit. I mean, I teed it up quite high. So, if I’ve been having a bad strike with my irions, it’s been a bit chunky cuz I’ve been like leading in. This left knee is like soft left knee lean in. I’m not been straightening out of it. And on Bermuda, if you fat it, it it seems to exaggerate it so much because the ground’s quite soft. All that in front of me with the water wasn’t wasn’t ideal for my mentals, mate. You know what I mean? I’m more than more than happy I’m more than happy to be long than short on this hole. Um big pot warming up, wind dying. Fireworks is I hope so. Turn back to the right. Turn back to the right. Turn back to the right. Oh my god. Oh yeah. It’s a nice It’s a nice place to be with your game when you’re looking at a 40 odd foot put and you’re like, “Oh, I’ve got a feeling pretty good over this one.” All right, that’s a that’s a hard hole. That’s a hard hole. that navigated in three. Another par. Let’s keep this going. This is some some decent golf. Really good golf. Some decent scratch golf going on right now. [Music] 400 yd. 400 yd which is a like a pitch and put compared to normal Dorado course. It’s actually quite a it’s a simple hole. you hit a shorter club out to the right hand side like a hybrid and leave yourself a longer club in a driver it’s 290 to clear the bunker on the left. So it’s like a it’s a hit at that and hopefully hopefully clear over the edge with the wind the wind’s kind of like died down. So, if I strike a good shot, I should have enough ammo to clear. Just sit before that. Sit down. Yeah. That good. Yeah. Yeah. It kind of curved over to the right. It’s It’s middle of the fairway. If that had have stayed to the left, it would have gone in the bunk. I didn’t strike it that well. It’s good now, though. Okay. 125 yds. Again, just a slight breeze into. So, I’m just going to take a pitching wedge and just smooth it in there. Don’t want this spinning load. So, right in the middle of the green, I think that pin stay. Okay. Yeah. Okay. just a bit not 100% confident in my striking like get my So the issue is when I go here and this left leg stays soft my hands kind of carry on down so I just like drive in I can get a bit steep and a bit chunky on it as well. So I’m trying to extend this hip extend this leg up and through and getting the timing of that at the moment is uh find a bit it’s tricky to marry up. Yeah, it’s it’s tricky. Trying to do it on the course as well is hard, but hey, that is another green rag. Let’s keep it going. Little bit left to right up the hill. Not a not a great wedge shot, but still a greening rag. And any green regulation around here has got to be a massive massive plus. Ah, just big slope at the start of that. Never quite got myself fully fully set. Yeah, whatever. All right, another par. This is the uh Nick Faldo channel you are now watching. I mean, that’s again, it’s it’s good. It’s solid golf. So, that’s five parts in a row. Yeah. Yeah. Five parts in a row, five greens regulation in a row. Yeah. Yeah. Which I’ve got to be honest, that was the biggest thing I was concerned about. So, hey, listen, it’s very early in the round yet. [Music] you know, it’s a good championship course this. So, certainly off the back te’s, uh the again bunker on that left hand side. So, to clear the top of that, it’s a 300 yard carry. Um there’s a few bunkers on the right which are a bit shorter. So, you have this choice which is kind of presented to you. You can try and cut the corner a little bit and be aggressive or you can lay a shorter club up to the right hand side, but it is still like a 430 RP par4. So, it’s not like the short option is not it’s not viable, but it’s not overly, you know, appetizing. Yeah. Yeah. Sharp heat again. struck it. I struck it great. Yeah. May is that what how far was that bunker? The the one that you were aiming for? Thought it was quite a bit of distance away, but the way the way I struck that, that was by far my best drive strike wise. Yeah, it just depends on the bounce. That actually looked like it might have bounced forward. Everything else has stopped pretty quick. You know what, Kieran? What’s the point in speculating? We can just drive up and see. 140 left in the end. A really good drive. So to the back of that bunker was 300 y. So I know I’m carrying it about 300 yds today. But very narrow part of the fairway. I don’t know if I’m hitting amazing drives at the moment or I’m just getting away with a bit of ignorance. I’m not quite sure yet. But it’s left me a really good spot. Pins on a little bit further than it looks as well over that bunker. So it’s 140. I’m just going to go full wedge straight at it. Might be a little bit long and right. It’s on the green. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just long right the pin. I’ve got pretty pretty high standards now. Kira, not sure if you noticed this. All right. So, another green and red. That was that was struck. That was a full on Tommy Fleetwood swing. That one. Love that. That is six and six green and regs on this course. Like that’s that’s very impressive. It’s more It’s unexpected in the sense that um on this course I think yeah that’s good. That is impressive, I suppose, but more just because like that’s the, you know, a weakness of my game. Well, I what what like green and red? Yeah. So, yeah, I’m happy. I’m delighted. A little bit right to left down the slope. Freshening up a touch again. We are very close. Well, very close to Miami, so pretty close to the sea. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Just didn’t quite knew the line. I just tugged it. Just tugged it. Oh, another four. Another path. Just absolutely racking them up. Six in a row. Yeah, six in a row. like that in other courses might be a bit boring, but like this is like it’s just requires great golf. It’s just some proper golf. Yeah. I mean, it’s as well like one of the one of the reasons I am happy about uh hitting a lot of greens is if it goes in the roof, it just sits down. So like that kind of lie. Oddly enough, in Bermuda, I’m happier with that kind of lie than if it’s like sitting up. If it’s sat on the top like that, that’s actually worse for me. Yeah. If it’s at the bottom, at least I kind of like know how to play it now. After my uh lesson with Scott Stallings, you haven’t checked out that video, please do. [Music] Hey guys, if you’re enjoying uh this video and you are enjoying seeing me play some actually proper scratch golf, make sure you subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. We’re on our way to 800,000 subscribers here on YouTube. So, it would be great to have you along for the ride. And uh hit that like button as well. If you imagine drawing up a Floridian golf course in your mind, this is kind of what it looks like to me. Yeah. War Hazards, big bunkers, palm trees. Very much. Are you enjoying it? You know what? Yeah. Well, I’m what I’m really enjoying about it and it I don’t know if it comes across on the video, but as I said on the last hole, it just feels like a real championship test and you’ve got to be strategic. You’ve got to have every part of your game in order. Yeah, it’s it’s a test. It’s not too gimmicky either. Like I’ve not had anything yet which I think that’s like unfair. Yeah. No, it’s been good. I might change my mind in a minute. Right. 430 yards. Literally, this is just straight down the middle of the flower. Stay right. Yeah. So, another fairway. Just Okay, that was that was a little bit more of a pull than I wanted, but yeah, that was good. Again, another fairway. Another chance to attack a pin from 190 yards, what it was going to be. and 60 yards left in. Just clinging onto the fairway. Wind’s off the right. So, I’m just going to hit an eight. I’m just going to try and hold a fade right at the pin. Like literally straight at it. Should be enough to give me a little bit of leeway as well. I want this just past the pin if anything. Jeez. Strike. Oh no. Oh jeez. That was a big blast in the in the face that one. Literally straight back into my face. Not a massive chunk actually. Um just a just a tiny one, but I think the ground there was particularly soft as well. That was very close to being the biggest bit right in my eye. That would have been fun. How did you find the blue monster? Yeah, it was so good. It blinded me. Cool. All over. Might as well go home. First chip today. I don’t know what I’m doing. So, draws. Normal shots. I’m okay with that. Was me trying to fade it. A little bit heavy. Something to remember and work on. A little bit left to right. It’s Florida, so just use a lobage everywhere. What a line. What a line. Great shot. Did you think for a second? Yeah, I did. I thought for a second. Best putter in the world. Can’t hold anything, but get him off the green. Okay. Right. That is another par. We are just racking them up. Who had uh 18 pars on the bingo card? Not me. All right. Come on. Par five next. Let’s keep this going. [Music] the yole here. Now the blue monster it’s 580 yard par five. The water you can see on the left hand side it’s 325 to reach that. So I think that will be okay. It’s just more those bunks on the right hand side that if I slip into it takes any chance of going for the green in uh two away does allow a big old layup area to the right hand side. So should be all right. But we want to give ourselves at least the option. What you going to do? Start it out the water, then fade it. Just straight over the path. Straight over the path. Yeah. Straight over the path. So good. That’ll do. Driving has been unreal. Yeah, driving feels good. Driving actually feel quite relaxed about considering it’s the the thing that you’ve got to get right around here. All feels pretty pretty chill, pretty relaxed. All right, so 240 left in. Really good drive that. It’s kind of one of those I could lay up, but what I’m going to actually do is I’m going to hit my hybrid. My wind’s down and off the left. So I’m just going to hit a shot straight at the pin. And if it holds with a draw, then fine. But if it cuts out to the right, then it’s going to be in the bunker or the right edge of the green. Yeah. So I’m just going to hit like a normal shot straight at it. And if it moves to the right, then fine. Hold. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Either in the bunker or just over. Yeah. Needed it. Was there a bit of We were a bit It was I mean the the whole shot was based on being safe. Like that’s that’s fine. That’s fine. It was a bit safe, but it’s okay. Not too bad. Um, good miss. Going to be hitting onto like a little bit of a down slope. A little bit right to left. Not been in a bunk yet. So, bit of prediction how it’s going to react. Damn. So, hey, pretty Oh, that was a really good strike. Just not carried it. H. No, it just didn’t hit it to the right. Yeah, it kind of came out very, very straight. Bunker felt good, though. However, chance of a birdie. Best putter in the world. There’s only one possible outcome. should have just taken a step away. I wasn’t um I wasn’t as focused as I need to be on that one. And I heard the plane coming and it was a classic. Shall I wait or shall I hit? And I hit a man. That was a a good chance of a birdie. That hole squandered another par. And I think potentially looking at it, the hardest hole that we’ve played so far. I’m pretty sure this is a par three and that’s going to be at the thick end of 250 I think over water though. Can you tell what country we’re in? [Music] 230 y over water. Looking fun. Looking fine. Got H2O on my mind. It’s downwind and off the left. I’m going to hit I’m going to hit five iron here. I This isn’t really so much going at the pin. This is more going left center. Just trying to finish it in between the pin and the uh the bunker. Such a hard hole this one. Wow. Go go go go go. Is that right? Yeah. Is that Oh, it’s just on Is that on the edge? Yeah, it’s right edge of the green. Jeez. Oh my god. Wow. Was that your best strike? I I struck it. Okay. Um I started a little bit right, so I kind of fanned the face open a touch, but I was trying to almost hit like a draw kind of a draw back into the wind and it to knuckle a little bit. Hey, hitting the green on this pin. Absolutely fine. I’m not sure what ship we’re aboard, but we’re aboard. There’s enough water around to feel like we’re on a boat. It’s just there’s something very final about water. Yeah, there’s a finality there that it’s very scary. We’re uphill. We’re a little bit right to left. Oh, it’s good line. Slowed up that slope. Such a push. That was always a straight P, Pete. Oh, what a good run. What a good run that was. Oh, that was always a Did you push it a bit? I pushed it. Yeah. Oh, damn. Hey, you’ve played really well this night. Yeah, it it’s been good. Good. I mean, three puts are really annoying at the moment anyway, but that was I lost I lost my I lost my concentration there a little bit. Those last last two greens mentally haven’t been uh not been there. Haven’t been ideal. And that means that I’m in desperate need of a coffee clearly. Um one over par. Oh, I tell you what, still got the same ball. It’s one over par. Throw 40. Broke 40. Exactly. So, we’re ticking along. How many green and rigs? Uh, eight. Eight. Eight out of nine on this course. Like unbelievable. All right. All right. Enough with your positivity. You make making me uncomfortable. Back nine. This is a tough one. So that first bunker to the right in the background, that’s 310 y. The shortest carry on the water between those two bunkers is 290. Do you do you lay up as in like do you play it safe like go further right? The thing is it’s it’s still 260. I mean it’s like it’s about 220 yards over the first bit of the water here. But to even reach the fairway after that tea that you can see up there. Yeah. That’s 260. Yeah. Into wind. Is that the green there? All the way to the left. All the way over there. Yeah. Straight at that bunker. Hit it hard. Hopefully I’ve got enough juice to carry everything. Come on. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. It’s miles over. This hole is a beast. Actually, miles over. I don’t know what all the panic was about. Right. Uh, we’ve got 320 yards left in. So, I’m just going to lay up the pin where that is. You can kind of see there’s a cross bunker which just juts out. So, I’m going to go slightly left of that. See the dark tree behind the green? Yeah, that’s where I’m aiming this. Just slightly left of that. Nice shot, Pete. Yeah. Very nice. Very sensible. Yeah. Um Yeah. Listen, laying up on par fives is what we do now is what we do on this channel at the 8,000 yard course. Right. 100 yards into this hole. Nice yardage. A 54°. Just trying to land this slightly behind the pin with a bit of spin. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Okay. Just a bit pulley. Just a bit pulley. Gave it a bit of extra juice. It’s okay. It’s a chance for a birdie. I mean, I’ve had a lot of What have I missed? I missed one green. Had a lot of birdie opportunities. One green. One green and one three put. So, I’ve had eight birdie attempts. Yeah. But the only problem is the greens have been the greens are so big in many respects that I’ve been putting it a little bit far away from the pins. So I’ve not had that many realistic chances. Maybe yeah two two puts that I think I could have done better at slightly down and oh it looks it looks like it wants to move off to the left a lot but my feet aren’t telling me it’s that much. So, I’m just going to go right edge. Oh, it was Oh, as he got to the hole, it Yeah. moved back that way. Yeah. Everything Everything about that looks like it wants to take the ball that way. And it’s actually pretty straight coming over that slope. Good put, though. Oh, we are back. We’re back, baby. Oh, that last hole is so annoying now. Ain’t that annoying like that having that one blip. But hey, still good. One over par. Still some pretty solid golf going on. I think more than anything, it’s it’s probably have to appreciate that actually a par on these holes. A lot of these holes is a good score. Yeah. So yeah, just keeping positive about it, not let myself get too down because of the lack of birdies. There are still opportunities out here. Just need to keep hitting greens, hit good putts, and a few will drop. [Music] Okay, if I’m reading this correctly, so the back teas are all the way back here. It’s 270 y to clear the middle short right bunker if that makes sense. Like all that bunker to the right side and the fairway is all one but the nearest side of his 270 and there’s fairway after that. So that’s what I’m going to go for. You could go up the left side. Actually going up the left side probably leaves a good angle in. Yeah. Cooler can hold this. Yeah. Very cool. But I think going up the left side maybe a touch tighter. God knows what’s over there. That wasn’t very good. I have absolutely no idea what’s over there. Kind of looks like another hole. No idea. No idea. I don’t even know if that’s the same course. Oh. Oh, were you a bit undecided? Very uh I should have just stuck with my game plan to go over that right side cuz that actually makes the hole a lot wider. Like going up that left hand side is a bit of a narrower gap. So when the left off it’s pretty thick 166 to the pin, but it is a bit down. Wonder if I can get like a nine to it. I’ve just got to try and avoid this tree in front out. Sure. That rough is so thick. All right, that’s a decent strike. Chopping down on it in Bermuda. Come on. Time to hold a hole a pot. Oh my shoved it. Just a straight up shove. Man, putting it’s not been as good today. Well, certainly not hauling as much. All right, it’s a bogey. Got a scuff on that ball, but on a positive, I did find a brand new prov as well. We’ll keep on going. [Music] Come on. Part five. Get a birdie in the bag. Uh, it’s 600 yd into wind though, so there is that. That like left bunker, fairway bunker is my line. Definitely can’t reach it. Nice drive, Pete. That’ll do. Lovely. All right, back. Back in the ballpark. I am. Does it still If I change my ball, if I change my ball, does it still count as like continuing with the same ball? Does that make sense? Because you you haven’t lost it, have you? I’ve not lost it. It’s just a bit of a scuff on that. Yeah. So, you you’ve changed for a reason. So, I think Is it Is it right or do I just carry on? Just carry on. This is big scuff. 370 yards left in. Jeez, a 370. I’m just going to try and feed up that left hand side mini drive. We’re just going to try and cut it again a little bit back into the breeze. So, the right hand side of that. Just hold that line. Hold there. Hold that. Yeah. Is that all right? Yeah. Yeah. Middle of fairway. Just uh just like to cut towards that bunker a little bit, but no, it’s fine. That’s going to leave me 100 in. Maybe maybe less. All right. Come on. Jeez, I’m feeling uh God knackered. It’s hitting me hard. [Music] [Music] 245 yards. Par four. No, sorry. Par three. My mistake. So, it’s just a hybrid. Kind of straight at it really, I suppose. Pin is in the middle of the green. Smooth one. Wind’s kind of here, so it’s not hurting too much. Oh, go in the hole. Shot, Pete. Well, well, well. Great shot. There’s life in the old Labrador. Yeah. Nice low flight. Yeah. God, imagine uh well, this is literally doing a YouTube vlog trying to break 80. I mean, in my head, I am prepping a little bit for the comps coming up and I’m trying to focus, but I’m knackered. You got to do it for four rounds around Egypt. Well, imagine what it must be like four rounds here. Yeah. It’s kind of still day as well, so it must get a bit windier. It fish a little bit by there. The the flight of it coming in was pretty flat, so it was never going to spin. Yeah, you should have it before. We are downhill, right to left. Just Just trust yourself again. Just trust yourself. Whoa. What’s coming back at the end? But just this maybe I shouldn’t trust myself. this. Yeah, just that middle bit there just kicked it right and it was coming back at the end like you said, but nice. All right, I’m back. I’m back. My putting is so so back. 250 RP par three. Oh my god. Guys, thank you so much for watching this. You get down to those comments below as well. You let me know what you think you would shoot around here off these TE’s. 8,000 yards. And just think back to all like the the water and everything else, my word. Like I mean the beauty of golf in many respects is that a lot of courses if you come play here, it’s a great track, but you want to challenge yourself around here. This is one of those courses where same as Carni in many respects, if you go to Carnoui, if you actually leave that golf course thinking that you’ve had it easy, you might actually take away detract from the experience a little bit. Like you want to feel like you’ve been tested to the limit here. It’s half the point. If you do manage to get around here, let’s say you’re lucky enough to get two. Test yourself off longer te’s and then just go straight to the front and enjoy. My god, [Music] I’m not even looked at the total yardage this hole cuz I just know it’s going to be long. But the see the p the palm trees at the back. Yeah. It’s like at them touch of draws. Perfect. But basically just that then smothered it. It looks like there’s a bit of room over there, but yeah, I’m just a bit worried if it’s that rough stuff, but just looks like trees, doesn’t it? Findable. Oh, everything in the world’s findable. Oh, I don’t want to lose that ball. Oh, my worry is Look, the the stream keeps going that way. Yeah. All right. Fingers crossed. as well. If we can’t find it, we know it’s gone and with the gators. Still not lost a ball. So, it is. There you go. Got the scuff on it. I suppose it’s not annoying cuz it’s not a lost ball, but it is annoying cuz that’s a drop. 170. It’s water all at the back. Sorry. Yeah, I brought a million clubs over cuz path only 170. Just an a time. Come on up. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Like that long. Not sure. Not sure. My god, that that flew. That came off like an absolute missile. You did uh you did warn me, Kier, and I just didn’t fully take it in. and I can’t see it. So, ball has been lost. What are you What are you doing? There’s a ball down here, but it’s in like a little weird hollow. And every time I go to move it, like loads of mud comes up. I I honestly think that might be the ball. Right, I’m going to let that clear. I’m going to play this ball. So, I’m going to drop one, but I’m going to come back to that spot cuz I honestly think that might be the ball. Just not hard enough. Kind of needed that uh almost pitch where where it’s finished. Yeah. Where it is. Yeah. This for a six. And if not, two put for a treble. So all of a sudden puts me at five over which all of a sudden makes that 80 number a little bit tricky, doesn’t it? Go. Just uphill at the end. Just like that. Just like that. Yeah. Let’s see if this the mud’s all kind of shifted from down here. I don’t want to lose one. I don’t want to lose a quest. So far, all the quests are still active. 40. Oh, yeah. Breaking 40 on this nine all the time. Yeah, that’s Yeah, but I can feel the ball, Kieran. It’s It’s a gunner. It’s a gunner. Okay, so three quests still active. We have break 80. We have 40 on the front, which we’ve done, and break 40 on the back. Now, does that put me four over on the back? Uh, four over on the back. Yeah, four over on the back. And what’s it going to be? A par 36. Yeah. Currently going to shoot 40 on the on the back. Oh, damn. [Music] 190 down wind. Obviously, a lot of water. I’m going to go seven just right of the pin. Come down. Yeah, keep coming. Keep coming. Okay. Yeah, good. That’s kind of like the the line I was going on. I might actually be on my best swing of the day. Yeah, it was lovely. Very flowy. Touch more relaxed. Great strike. I don’t even know if this is enjoyable. If I’m being honest with you, I don’t know if I’m actually having fun. It’s a test and it’s a grind, but man, no birdies. This seems like a chance. Everything’s a chance. K. Got to turn. How easy is it? Listen, it was a good put. It was a good put. It just straightened up right at the end. A par right. Five over, three to play. I need a birdie and two pars to complete all three quests. Obviously, the one quest which is dispersed is the uh the one ball. So, we still got a chance. Any par fives? Nope. No, this I think it goes I think it’s three par fours, but this one I mean they’re all going to be hard, but I know that the last is an absolute brute. Like a real brute. So, come on. Let’s keep it together. It’s like a war of attrition. If you’re still watching, if you’re still with me, stay with me. Don’t leave me. [Music] Ask and ye shall receive. 330 yard 4. Downwind, drivable. Well, I could definitely get over the water. That’s like 300. I’m just going to launch it left hand side of the green. And if it moves back a bit, then great. Let’s have a go. Can’t be. It feels like for the first time I’m like, “Yeah.” Yeah. Oh god, I can sense a birdie potentially. Cut. Cut. All right. Green side trap on the left. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All right. Not too bad. Yeah. Whatever. Feels nice just to be able to relax and hit a golf shot that devastatingly nervous about which sounds a bit wild because I was hitting over a lake. Best way to describe everyone knows this if they’re a member of a golf club especially back home in the UK where you have scratch leagues and stuff like that. If you were a scratch golfer here, you’re like a plus 12. Yeah. Yeah. Everywhere else. Bit of an exaggeration, but you get what I mean. Bunker stop. All right. Come on. You are a good bunker player. There’s like a ridge like halfway to the pin. And I just need to get it over that. And it’s going to release down. All right. All right. Play with that with the plane going and everything. Yeah, I waited for it that time. I was I’m going to make this shot epic. I’m going to make this incredible. What a lovely. All right. First birdie of the day. First birdie. Vital birdie. Oh, that feels good. Just shows, doesn’t it? It shows like if you throw a few short par fours in. And I think it’s a little bit different obviously because like when the best players in the world are here, you know, they can make they can make birdies probably easier than anyone else. But man, just need a few holes that give me a bit of hope. Like a little bit of a a consoling hand. Yeah. [Music] 440 y. A little bit downwind. I’m going to hit a drive basically where the line of the tease is here. So straight down there. And then if it just curves, excuse me, it just curves a little bit to the right, then that’ll be ideal. So I should be able to should be able to cover them bunkers. Try, Pete. All right. Go on. Get the cover. Get the cover. Good. I think so. I think so. If he’s got the cover on those bunkers, it’ll be absolutely perfect. Not perfect either on the strike, but it looked like it didn’t have a lot of spin. Is that your Is that where it pitched as well? Yeah. Oh my god. 140 140 down the wind. Covered the uh covered the bunkers, which is good. Got a Tommy Fleetwood in there. A pitching wedge. Come on. This is a good chance. This no such thing as that, mate. It’s just one shot at a time. You got to trust the process, pal. a club. All right. Very nice. Yeah. Love that Tommy Fleetwood swing. Yeah, it’s So, I’ve been trying to silly way of saying it, but like alter my swing so I take quite a bit of distance off my irons so they’re a little bit more controllable. Like, if I want to, I could hit my irons so far. And you know, if I was a junior and if I was just doing like purely YouTube golf and you know, it didn’t really matter. I could set up to a par three with an AI and be like, you know, I’m going to hit this 200 yards then. Great. And I’d, you know, I’d win in any penis measuring contest, but it’s kind of like playing in comps and watching the best players in the world and the best players in even my PJ region. They’re just so much better than me with like irons and wedges. Like off the tea and now on the green, I can compete. I’m I’m decent. But yeah, wedges and uh wedges and irons. Just need to take that distance off, gain more control. Good drive. That’s a good second. A damn right. That was a good hole. At least I gave myself a chance though. 18th one to go before I can get some caffeine into my system. However, it’s just an absolute beast. It’s about 470 y. Water. It’s a bit weird. There’s like water off the tea and then there’s fairway and then there’s water before the green. It’s like a double water hazard while still being the same water hazard. You’ll see what I mean. It’s like almost a semi island fairway. [Music] Okay, ladies and gentlemen, here we go. Par. It’s all we need, but we’re going to go for a birdie. As you can see, we have water to cover the bunker, which is just to the right of the gigantic stars and stripes. That is the line. And if it fails a little bit over to the right, it’s okay. I should have enough to cover the water at 290. All right. Sit before the bunkers. Is that all right? Not sure. Bunker maybe. I mean, I imagine those bunkers are there to catch that T-shot. Took you pretty a while. Okay. Hopefully, so hopefully be all right. It’s 170 directly across because it’s a full on eight or just like a little draw with a seven and I’m kind of thinking if I draw it with a seven wind should be held. I mean you can tell which way the wind is going. Just trust your number here. Come on. Oh yeah. Nice shot. Yeah. Yeah. just a bit a little bit long. Kind of went straight um rather than drawing back in. So kind of carried on the wind at touch at the end. But that is good. And it gives me a chance. Two putts for an eight for 79. No, no, no, no. Two putts for So um two puts for a 39 on the back. Oh. So I mean I’m what? Four over. Yeah. So, I’d have to I’d have to five put I’d have to five put to shoot 80, which listen, it’s not not not entirely impossible, but two putts for a 39 and to complete three of the four quests. And I reckon I would have got my ball if you’d have let me get in that water. Just got this turning just a little bit right to left down the slope. Okay guys, thanks for watching. Oh, just want to thank Dal for having us down. It’s been an amazing day. It’s been an experience. Honestly, there are very, very, very few people in the world who would actively enjoy playing off those back teeth. I don’t know if I’m one of them. When I come back here and I play again, I’m going to be moving it forward. Something around 7,000 yards will be more than enough of a test for me. However, we’ve broken 80. Shot one over on the front and we’ve shot three over on the back. Four over in total. 76. Thanks for coming, guys. Thank you for watching. I am absolutely knackered. Right, come on. Come on. We got a 2-hour drive. Then we got another 18 holes to fill. Let’s go.

  1. Yeah think a few have said it but loving the back and forward with Kieran here. Should def get all the lads talking / supporting in the videos a little more. Keep up the great work team

  2. Best to watch in all of YoutubeLand, keep killing it with great golf and banter. You can range from playing against/with pros, and keep up skillwise…. all the way to doing a food/drinking challenge with BDS (Or a beer challenge with Fore Bros, which was hilarious btw) 👍

  3. I shot a 74 my first time out from the golds and I was a 2.1 handicap at the time. Lovely greens and it's not that hard. Double bogey on 18 was the stress test. Florida golf is so nice. Thanks for sharing the Monster.

  4. Just love your swing Peter! Your recent video on speeding up the driver has been very helpful. When I grow up, I want to swing just like you!

  5. I'd break 80 there easily. For the front nine. And when I say easily, I mean maybe. On a good day. Great round and format Pete, really nice interaction with Kieran 👍

  6. Peter. I love your personality and content, but if you are having anything to do with Trump owned properties I am unsubscribing. (I played the blue monster myself in about 2009 before trump got it. Hope you enjoyed it, but I’m boycotting all channels in golf that will deal with trump properties).

  7. Dang, that course is always awesome to see. Not a lot of elevation…just like my local course here in Kansas…except much, much longer. I play the medium tees….7,100yds I believe. I have no idea what length it is from the tips.

  8. On my sim I'd shoot 80-85. In person I figure I'd be lucky to break 100 on that course.

  9. 5:28 16yds is just under 30 feet? Huhhhh… you’re about 18 feet off there. Stay with meters cause your throwing us Americans allllll offfff

  10. I'm a short-hitting, 7 hc senior golfer. That course averages 77 yards per hole longer than my course, so I'm adding an extra shot per hole and thinking 97 would be a very satisfying score. And not breaking 100 wouldn't be too devastating.

  11. It is very rare that I watch a whole round on Youtube, but this was one I couldn't miss. This was just what I need, to motivate me into going out and hitting balls again. Thanks Pete, really enjoying your content.

  12. yeah get kieren and kieren only on the mic more often ….hope u realise u owe ur delightful wife a mini apology for being a whingy beatch about the towel in egypt ….just cause u were not striking it as you know you can and best putter in the world was on holiday , dont take it out on ur caddy , she did done well …. also i would have to play out of my skin and channel my inner hogan to crack 100 round there from the tips , seems sneaky treacherous …also come to australia and play ron chopper (and if you do, try to reset his friend joels mindset as he is the most negative overly competitive arseclown ive ever seen)
