LIV Golf has announced its first offseason signing, and it’s someone who was in the field at this week’s season-ending PGA Tour event.
Victor Perez, the 33-year-old from France, is signing with Cleeks GC and replacing Frederik Kjettrup, a signee ahead of the 2025 season who struggled in his lone season with the league. Perez becomes the first Frenchman to sign with LIV Golf.
Perez was in the field at this week’s RSM Classic but withdrew Tuesday afternoon and has made 25 starts on the PGA Tour this year. He sits 108th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings and would’ve needed a top-5 finish or better to retain his card.
He made 78 starts in his PGA Tour career, amassing a little more than $4 million in earnings while making 50 cuts and collecting seven top-10 finishes.
Most of Perez’s success came on the DP World Tour, where he has three victories: the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the 2022 Dutch Open, and the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. He also represented France in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ranked 120th in the world, Perez joins a roster including Martin Kaymer, Richard Bland and Adrian Meronk.
““oining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf’s next great chapter, as this club continues to push boundaries, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez said in a release. “The sport’s growth has been incredible, and LIV Golf’s innovation and energy are driving it forward. I’m excited to be part of that momentum and can’t wait to get started in Riyadh.”
Perez’s debut will come at LIV Golf Riyadh in February.
