Can We Break The Course Record @ Michigans BEST Golf Course?

All right, welcome back to Course Record episode two. We’re here at Arcadia Bluffs. We’re on the back nine as you guys saw yesterday. Spoiler if you didn’t see it. We are three under par. Yep. Tell us about this golf course with a bogey. Um, this is the best golf course in Michigan. You see the ocean/ lake back there. It’s unreal. This back 9 has unbelievable views. 10, 11, 12, 13. Maybe the best fourhole stretch on this side of the Mississippi. It’s actually I think it’s it’s crawling into my top five courses of all time. Anthony Kim currently holds the course record at 65 right now from the TE’s we’re playing. So we got to have 64 to break it. 65 is crazy out there. 65 good. Wind’s starting to pick up though. This could change things a little bit. We’re starting off on a 470 yard par4 straight into the teeth of the dog. Um I guess I’ll go. Go ahead. Well, the routine. Let’s keep with the routine. We’ve been killing it. Yeah. Let’s not let’s not um Okay. Right here. Started out right over that black pole. I’m going to go a tad left of it. Gosh, Cole has not missed a single, dude. He’s got the driver on string right now. Might have to hit it again on this hole, though. No. No, you don’t. Oh, yeah. I think that is money. Good shot. Oh, it’s kind of tailing right on. Leaking. I think that’s good. I think it’s fairway. That’s hammered. Holy cow. That was hammered. How do you hit it that hard? Well, it’s all about the amount of energy that goes into the ground and comes back up before the club head makes it to the golf ball. So, you’re transferring your energy at this moment right here. Yeah, it’s all at the bottom. And it all is based off of how hard you can push off the ground. Oh, dude. Scared me. I thought I did something wrong. Wait, did I do that before you made contact? It’s definitely possible. Yeah, but it takes it’s it’s a lot cuz like all the birdie holes are birdie holes for all all three of us. So you got to be on Yeah. And and it’s not a scramble. It’s a best ball which is like I mean we’re all three scratch plus a couple maybe here and there and it’s like every once in a while and and it’s hard to do that. It’s really hard to make 10 birdies as three people on hard golf courses. Yeah. I have no idea where the flag is, but here we go. Holy knuckle ball. That was knuckled. No draw. Where is it? It’s up on the bluff. Did you see it down though? Yeah, I saw it bounce. Left or right? Dead. I think it hit the sand. All right, I have a 134. Freaking nuked this one. I got pitching wedge here. I think I’m going to play this about 5% plus 5% with this wind. So, I think that’s two, which is 12 6 28 34. That make sense? Yeah. I mean, part of me really wants to try to flirt with it and go up on that right side and let it come down left, but I don’t think it’s worth it. I think I need to try to hit it right at it and end up just left of it. It’ll be a straight putt. Well, I played it safe. No, I think the wind is way hammering. No. Did you pure that? I hit it great. I hit it, too. I know. I think the wind I thought it was going to be long at first. I’ve never gotten luckier with a lie, but I’m cooked. Hey, y’all think if I land it in the rough, it’ll go through it? Nah, probably maybe one bounce. So, fly it as close as I can to but in the rough. Yeah. Oh, I went right under it. Oh, right under it. Five more feet probably. Dude, I’ve never had a ball on a tea that much. Yeah, it was so perfect. I mean, unless you’re trying to like if I honestly think if you hit it right here, it gets really close. Unless you try to ram it into that slope. You want me to try it and see if it works for you? I want to get creative with it, but I also want to make par. But I I think with I think that it’s it’s a very unpredictable into the slope. It’s hard to make a lot of birdies out here because you can’t get it very close. Why is my putting so freaking bad right now? That is so unfortunate. I I absolutely hate that. One, from the viewers, and two, just from us. I mean, we we actually had a chance and now we’ve made it very difficult on ourselves. This hole is unbelievable. See, this is how weird my depth perception is. I feel like it’s like 140 yard to get to the top of that hill. I think it is. No, it’s probably like shoot that cobalt. Here we go. I don’t think it’s that far. It’s 148 to the fairway, 186 to the top of the hill. It’s 450 to the bunkers past it. And it looks like it’s like 260. Yeah, it goes straight down. Yeah. Hang up there. Dude, I’m telling you, people don’t realize that even if you’re not like practicing your golf game, if you are if you are working on your body and working out, something I’ve noticed is like it translates to every part of your life. And especially if you’re an athlete, working out in general just helps so much. I mean, I feel a lot better just in general. Yeah. And I’ve I’ve really been focused on trying to eat cleaner, too. Like, we’ve been cooking for six days of the week. Yeah. And we love it. I just joined a gym in West Palm. What dam is that? It’s uh they’re about to open. It’s Equinox. Okay. He just He thought he hit a great shot, and it’s in the bunker. It depends if you hit it high. So, I feel like if you keep it low, this might block the wind a little bit. This What did you hit on? Yeah but the fact that we’re only two under as a team is crazy but we can definitely birdie out but that one stings a little bit after hitting two drives down there about 340. It’s tough to get it close out here. Pins are screwed today. It’s not what we wanted but I’m pretty happy with that par to be honest. Yours was a great par. Well, yours is a good par. Our putters have really let us down today cuz we’ve hit a lot of really good shots. I I mean all of us are striking. My first line was in the middle of the hole. That is true. And Tig moved it. That is true. You should have moved it back. I tried but then I lost the point. And I it was never going to be there again. Gone forever. Had two birdie looks inside of 10 ft on this nine. Haven’t touched the hole either time. Birdie out. We tie right seven under. Yeah. So we need an eagle. Yeah. Which we can on that par five. Can let’s just play some golf. Let’s lock in. Let’s act like we’re in a tournament or something. I don’t know. I don’t need some money on I don’t need to do that. I’ll play for some money. I would love. The thing is if I can if I try to leave this short of the green, I’m going to have an easier chip than if I will go 40 ft long. Well, leave it in land it in the rough. Yeah. Yeah. Like if I can land this in the rough and it stays in the rough, I’m okay with that. Oh, sit. I just you can’t get to this pin. What did that carry two feet too far? Yeah. I mean, it landed in the rough. It’s just This is so severe right here. Yeah. To have a chance, you’d have to lay it back to like 120. Yeah. And fly a perfect wedge right there. 45 ft. You know what? If I can’t make a long one or if I can’t make a short one, why not make a long one? They say everything breaks toward the toward the water, but ain’t no way this one’s breaking towards the water. We’re freaking alive. Cuz I thought I missed that on the high side. That is just what we needed. Holy folks. Holy cow. To be honest, that keeps us in it. Well, no, cuz we got a very reachable par five next. It keeps us in it. Come on. If we make eagle there and get to five. I tell you what, I hit too good of a drive there to not make birdie. Yeah, I know. One of us had to, especially in a short hole, like we were losing so many strokes to the field if we don’t. Now, that is how you do it. It is about time the putter showed up today.
