Very wise, nothing changed from
from yesterday, Kiko’s and concussion protocol and Cisco has a show that we’re
still evaluating. So I know more about that sometime this, this this
afternoon. So I’ll be able to give you guys that information
once I get it, when it comes to the game of
yesterday, very exciting. Great plane ride home was good to see the guys excited
and happy. To get their first win with the
new regime and there was a number of things that as you
watch the tape that really stood out to me and I was just
going all time, start the defense
first. I thought Wilkes did an
outstanding job of understanding, strategically,
what we were trying to do and after the first touchdown
that was given to to Higgins man we kind of got right back
into what we’re trying to do is make sure we take those two guys
out so after that first touchdown to Higgins got he
didn’t catch another pass after that which was goodbye. I’ve secondary guys, and also
after the half, I think chasing one had, like 30
years receive. And listen, I understand exactly what the
runners did and they made some plays. And I would say that we
have to continue to improve and I’ll tackle and get that had a
lot to do with the the runs that they scored on and some of the players those
other guys did. But at the end of the day, all Focus was make
sure that the two receivers aren’t the ones that beat us.
Like what happened in the Pittsburgh game. So I
thought that was really good by Wilkes. Making sure our guys
understood that Going to office. I thought Anna
did a really good job of really managing the game and putting
our guys in position to be successful, man. We were very aggressive
when it came to running the ball and just showing our
brand of football when it comes
to running the ball and being
physical, then also being aggressive or pushing the ball
down the field with Justin. So he can go out and make the
plays. He need to make and I thought Justin did a hell of a
job of managing the game again. No, turnovers. We had a
limited amount of penalties, and that’s all. Offense and
defensive side, that’s been three games in a row. For the
most part. I think we only had 11 penalties in the last three games, which averages
out to about three point six penalties a game. So that’s
something that we’ve been
working on for quite a bit. So I thought
that was outstanding. When it comes to special teams,
man. Isaiah did a hell of a job of
returning the ball, obviously. He’s, it’s a pretty good Redemption
story of what happened with him. Fumbling the ball and him
making that mistake of catching the ball, beyond
that, that 10-yard rule that we have. And now, man. He’s really
in the groove. Understand exactly what we want when it
comes to the returner and this is just in general now, special
teams have been. A has been a high Mark for this
team throughout this season. I
thought those I think those guys continue to do that. So again happy for the win, we understand, still worried at
127, we’re not happy about that, but it is what it is and
we get another chance, not this week because of the Bible the
next week to get the chance to play. And to continue improving on the things that
we’re trying to improve on as a team. So any questions Aaron, do you want to talked
about yesterday that Justin is primed to be? You know for this
situation? Yep. Going back and looking at
how he performed yet. Were you impressed at all? Because a lot
of guys may not have responded with the poison, the composure
that he did this week. Yeah. And just like I said,
yesterday, his personality, his faith, his family, they do a
really good job. Good job of keeping him ground, and keeping
him steady. And man, that there are so many
levels to two things that that he goes
through as a person. And as a player
that and I think sometimes we look at
athletes or at this magnitude of, they’re
not humans. They’re robots. And there’s so many things that
that’s that’s attacked at so many
different levels on these guys that, man, they’re humans. And
they have Feelings, they go through things, but when we create these storms,
for these players, not these coaches also that some
people have no idea of what they go through, but they’re
just like me, just like you just like anybody else to have feelings. They go through
things, it just so happened. He’s such a strong-willed person that he’s built to handle things
like that. So, yes, I’m proud of them. I’m not shocked and I expect for him to continue
living his life like that. AG did uh, did you see his
comments after the game yesterday? He was. He said, you
know, I’m gonna get vulnerable for a minute here, and, and he
really shared some things that were pretty emotional and how he
went through it. And I’m sure like, you’ve been saying, it’s
not a surprise to you, like how he’s handled things?
But did you happen to see those comments from him yesterday and
wanted to think? Well yeah I did. Here’s the point that I think
everybody’s missing he was being vulnerable. He’s
also teaching He was teaching everybody out
there. That listen, like we’re humans and things happen in our lives
and again, I would say this. No, there’s, there’s so much
that come after these players, that people don’t understand,
they shoot arrows at all these players and they don’t realize these
players are, you know, they have feeling so and I think that was huge, not
only for himself, but for the other athletes out there,
that’s listen to what he’s saying that man, just it’s bigger than football, lot
of times and being able Able to handle yourself in a way of Personality faith, family. All
those things has helped them B2B the player
and the person that he is right now, Is there a sense that the bye
week comes at a good time? Or would you prefer kind of try to
deal with the momentum after a win? You know, I’ll be honest and I said, man, I wish we were
playing next week but I do feel like this is a
this is a good time for us. Because now man, I’ll Focus again as it’s always been, it’s
been on us and man, some of the things that we just cleaned
up. We’re going to go back and we’re going to self Scout
towards coaches. And we’re going to talk to the
Players Ball, things about the good bad, the ugly and the
solutions. Also for us, moving forward. So there’s a good and a bad to it
mean I obviously after you get a win, you want to continue
going. But I also know that man. There’s some things that we
have to reflect on and and try to continue to fix and
understand where there’s a foundation that we’re trying
to create and that is an ongoing process and and we feel good about that.
Listen to even though the Rutgers not worry wants to
be, we feel good about the foundation. That we’re
trying to set so we can we could be a team
that’s going to win continuously. See where evaluate the
quarterback position last week? Yeah the way with the way Justin
played yesterday the natural question is does he
get to start against Cleveland? Or is that something you’re
going to have to weigh over the next two weeks? Because I think you know my
answer is going to be on that. You know this is about week and
we’re going to focus on us and listen I have time to make that
decision. So again that’s one of the good
things that the by week. But seriously, seriously man,
this gives us a chance to really just honing on the good
bad and ugly and then try to get those things worked out
because we know we have a ways to go. All right, thank you. Think that
maybe Justin cleared somewhat of a hurdle because
obviously, we know for a couple games he wasn’t playing well,
but he was getting the ball out quicker yesterday. I mean, do
you think he made the step that you were hoping he would? Well, I would say this, I think
he he played the game, exactly.
Like we we see him playing for us to win
the game. You know, I would say that there are still some things
within that game that he knows he has to improve on. And that’s
going to be every game. We’re going to always be
critical of ourselves. I’m always be critical offense
defense and special teams some things that I think that we can
get better at. But yeah, he, he did a really
good job for us yesterday. I thought he managed that game really. Well, I think he really
did. He did You’re really real. So again we’re going to take this
week to really see like how do we improve on some of these
things that we didn’t do well in at the quarterback position
at the running back position, d-line line back, all those
positions man and try to and try to improve on this week. Agh, how important was that game for
the offense? Obviously, you guys want to win in the worst
way, no matter how you could get it. But coming off a couple
games where you do not get in the end zone, you’re down 15
points there in the fourth quarter at 31 16 and they just kept on coming
as far as this a complete effort across the board. You
know what, I’m glad you brought that up because they’re
it speaks volumes of what we talked about going into
halftime of, I don’t want to say, I challenge
the team because we already talked about that before that. We’re about to see exactly
how mentally and physically tough. We are to be
able to be resilient team things that we’ve talked about
since OTAs. That the game is never over and
we can always win the game and I guys came out and prove that
and then one just the offense coming. I have an explosion like
they did made a defense made plays in critical
times that we need to is the same as a special team so now but I am happy man seem like
we’re in this this this Valley and then we have
these Peaks when it comes to offense and defense may I just
look forward to the time, we can all put it together and play
true complementary football on and Alton in and win games that we
want to win. But I will say this, we are playing support of
football to wear when the offense is not clicking
man to defense of pick them up. You know when a defense
not clicking the office has picked it up and especially
and it’s just been really good throughout the
season. So again complimenting football
something that we strive to be strapped to do as we do all this
season, what do you make of brownlee’s
contribution? See keeps on showing up at one food grinder
and we’re done. It made a couple of big plays down the
stretch. Yeah. That’s that’s the reason
why he’s here. And again, I give a lot of credit to a
parameter mu Jin in our Personnel Department of seeking out. The guys, they
really fit who we are and what we’re trying
to do as a team and that really has
the traits that we’re looking for when it comes to player. So I don’t want to say I’m
surprised but I am happy that the things
that we thought that he can do. He’s out there doing for us to
help us win games. Agv the training guidelines week
from tomorrow. Yeah, sure. What we’re going to talk to you
again. Obviously, with your record
being one in seven, you’re going to get calls from a lot of
teams. I’m sure. Looking looking at your pliers, what will the organizational
approach the to the trading deadline? I would say this. Nah can’t say that because
that’s what parts I was told me. But listen, everybody listens, that
doesn’t mean that you act on anything. You know when someone calls you
listen but action speaks louder than
words, you know. So I would just put it
like that cost of somebody wants to trade for you, you
know, I’m trading. You trust me, we all know that. Now, I got a, I got to thank you, everyone. All right, appreciate you guys.

  1. In glenn we trust. Give him time. This draft and free agents has been sneaky good. Moore brownlee kilo Taylor membu Isiah Williams Stephen's had been actually good this yr too

  2. He's going out of his way to praise Wilkes who is just bad. Even with better players on the field our defense looks confused. Feel great about yesterday, but I have more faith in Justin than AG, let alone Wilkes.

  3. The jets would be insane to bench Justin fields but it is the jets afterall.
No statistical category that Tyrod has been better in.

  4. Good team win yesterday. Sometimes its hard being a fan because im tired of seeing the team lose. I know that the coaching staff can turn it around. Aaron Glenn you have my support.

  5. Game Ball to the Offensive line. JF played very well within the protection provided. Great team win. Go Jets!

  6. Justin Fields is like a child. It sounds like everyone around him is keeping the guy on a short leash. He attributes his ability and performance to the whims of a god and is determined by how hard he prays.

  7. Ride with JF, best chance of winning if everyone does their job. Ty Taylor isn’t the long term situation. JF is and if everyone play up to capabilities, he’s a Lion

  8. Title is misleading lol , Aaron didn’t answer the question . He just didn’t want to stir controversy off a Win .

  9. I’m really happy he mentioned tackling. It’s not good. Great win either way! #74

  10. Cool to see Glenn and Coz share a laugh together. What happened at that Broncos press conference was avoidable

  11. It’s about time. You did a great coaching job this week… fantastic…. Pls keep it up

  12. Don’t you just love those softball questions by the Jets employee at the end of every press conference.

  13. Okay so is he gonna start going forward or what lol all he said was he’s a nice guy and a family man . That doesn’t factor into being the starter going forward

  14. I think keeping the pressure on justin is the good move. Its not to bemch him but to let him know that he needs to play big and free. And this is just competition.

  15. It was one game. JF has to be consistent so no, he needs to compete each week to start. Maybe after a few good performances, he can be the solidified starter

  16. After yesterday's game, how can you say you don't know who'll start the next game after the bye? It almost makes you sound like Woody.

  17. I'm a OSU fan and I always wanted Justin here… Good Job Justin for leading my Jets to a BIG WIN!!! Jet Up Baby… JETS JETS JETS

  18. You'd think the Jets won the Super Bowl! Two consecutive AG press conferences and neither he nor any journalists once brought up Breece Hall. How is this possible? Without him, Jets are 0-8. Breece showed tremendous poise throwing that TD. Is he now in the Quarterback conversation? I'd start him.

  19. Whenever Fields thinks his career is on the line he plays well. He’s too laid back, he’s not hungry.
