N Yanni Sen pop this one on the green and it releasing down. Oh, fantastic. Beautiful shot from the former world number one. She’s going to have an opportunity to catch Garvey at the top of the leaderboard. Yeah, I think this is a gimme. Yeah, I think she might be just going to tap this one in. And a reminder in case you weren’t aware, everything’s right-handed apart from the putting. something I’m sure we’ll elaborate on over the back nine. So, back to where she started today. Couple of Well, she’s taking it on with driver. The only place you can’t hit this is right. Well, the fact she’s teed it up right hand side of the tea box shows her intent. I think she hasn’t got hold of it properly. It’s down that left side. Safe at least. Better better to bail out down that side than to leak it down the right. Yeah, you can see just a bit of a sigh there walking off the tea box. But from the host country, 40 Taiwanese in the field and none more famous than this player here. Well, only 95 yds left for Sun. This pin position is tucked on the left hand side. Only four yards from the left. Going to be hard to get spin on this one coming out the semi- rough. Oh, what a shot she’s played there. Thought she’d hold it for a moment. That is sensational from Yanni Sent. And she is going to be back in front on her own. That was world class. I mean, week it is only round two, but it is the final round. the back nine on Sunday. What’s been a weather hit Wrong ladies open. These were the kind of pots that were giving her nightmares a few years ago. You can see now putting left-handed and that’s why it works. Well, she has a lot of support out there. friends, family, parents. Now she’s on this uh 11th T. Most of these par threes do play down the hill, Amy. Yeah, this one playing six yds downhill. Today it’s 126 yds. The pin position only five on and three yards from the right side. It’s one of the smallest greens on the golf course. You can see how narrow it is. only 10 yards wide at the front of this green. Another delightful shot that Oh, I thought that was going to get a little closer off the slope there. Beautifully played though. Yeah, we saw Amelia Garvey hit her shot into a very similar position and made two on this hole earlier. If it’s a means to an end, what a change it’s been. It’s definitely been working. We saw Garvey hold this putt from here earlier. We know there’s not too much movement in this one. It’s downhill and another step potentially for the legend that is Yanni sent towards this Wrong Ladies Open title. Just when she was caught birdies at 910 and now 11 and she’s clear of Amelia Garvey by one shot. playing downwind off the right hand side trying to send this at that right greenside bunker. I think if you ask most people they they find it extraordinary that she’s still playing. The slump began over 12 years ago. You know, she won three times at the start of 2013 and then just a wedge in for Sun here. Wind is off the right helping. Go straight at this one. Another fabulous effort. I like to call her the the the former world number one rather than call her the world number 793rd. Well, this one to extend her lead. this for four in a row. Oh, she’s got another. What a move. What a player. Yanni Sen rolling back the years and rolling in the putts. 12 under par. She now leads once again by three shots. Breeze into off the left. She can reach this one and two. staring closely at that one. It’s down the left side, but not in any trouble today. That came from Cheng Shuani, the champion of 2020 here. Sen would like something similar. Yeah, Yiannis hit it a little bit left off the tea. also laid up on this par five. Now got just a wedge in to this pin. Looking to go straight at this. Her wedges have been good. And another one that goes close to the hole. Setting herself up for another birdie. She is putting on a show. I think we’re about to see birdie number five in a row from Yanni Sen. Hannah and Manny just checking on this one. Got to take care. She has been in this position so many times, but it is 11 years and 9 months since the last time. Birdies at 9, 10, 11, and 12. And this to make it a wonderful handful in succession and to reestablish that threeshot lead. It’s inside the hole down the hill. Keep your head still and in it goes. That’s five in a row for the fil former world number one. She extends her lead to three. Shouldn’t be in play on the right hand side. Going to want to aim this at that left one. Yeah, smoothly done. Looking so in control of things right now. Yanni sent a lot of the holes here play uphill, so you won’t be able to see the bottom of a flag, so really trust your number. This one can go straight at it. It’s relentless. It’s another stunner from Yanni Sen. Little bit of right to left movement in this down the hill. Can it be six in a row? And it just slides by. Didn’t quite get that one started online. Yeah, I don’t know how aware she is of uh leaderboards. They’re not too many, are there, dotted around the golf course, I can remember when we were walking around. Well, she’s got another wedge in her hand. Winter day on the left. Start this on the left side of the TV tower. Slopes from left to right. Oh, and it’s straight at it. It’s another gorgeous golf shot from Yanni Sen. This for sent to open up a five shot lead with three holes left to play. And it’s downhill in the first few feet of this putt before it flattens out. Seen her putt so nicely over the last couple of days. And now she got another one. And in it goes. The roars are getting louder. The finishing line’s getting closer. What a moment for Yani Sen like she did when she was kid with freedom. Enjoying it. She smarred her way through the weather delays. Came out firing yesterday. It’s been another wonderful Sunday as well. It’s for another birdie. First time we’ve seen her back off anything. Yeah, ball’s sitting quite a bit above her here, so it is going to break early. It’s going to go straight right on her as soon as it comes off this fringe. She’s had six birdies and seven holes. Can she make it seven? No, he wasn’t totally comfortable over that one, but T will do her no harm whatsoever. It’s still a tough T- shot on 18, but this one here. Just want to send it out that left greenside bunker. Just smooth one down there, didn’t she? The swing looks great. Yeah, I think a stepping stone, wasn’t it? The fact that she made the weekend at the AIG Women’s Open. was her first cut made at an LPJ tour event since 2018. Point to get a good strike on this. Trying to get a little bit of spin on it. Well, first mistake we’ve seen in a while from her. No. Pop this one up. Pitch it a couple of yards onto the green. Let it release up to this pin. First sign of things maybe getting to her with that left-handed putter. It was a great attempt. Thought she had it. Well, the lead she will take to 18 is three shots. And all she’s got to do really is avoid the water. Fairway green parts. That’s all you need to do. Sounds easy from the commentary box. No problems there. Job one completed. And through all the dark days, through the gloom, through the yips, through the injuries, Yanni Sen believed when no one else did. Third shot now into this par five for Yanni Sen. Just a wedge. She’s been so good with her pitches all week. And another one straight over the pin. But at 23, she’d already achieved greatness. And then it all went wrong. She lost her confidence. She lost her belief. She lost her weight. But she has found it here in her home city. Some thought she may never get here again, but she believed this to put the final touches on what’s been a wonderful two days for Yanni Sen. It’s the rebirth of one of the greatest Yanni Sen, legend, trailblazer, icon, wins again. What a story in her home city, in her home country. Yanni Sen here, 36 years of age, 11 years and nine months, 4,36 days after her last win. [Applause] Mom and dad, proud, proud parents. her dad there. That’s her coach that’s there with her. How he’s loving that. How proud must he be as well? There isn’t a more popular golfer in the whole of this nation. What an incredible moment, an emotional moment. It’s taken a lot of hard work. This the app way to finish a dream weekend for Yanni Sang with one more birdie. Incredibly six birdies on this back nine. Closing it out in style and winning in the end by four shots here at the Wistron Ladies Open. [Music] A player who won five major titles, the youngest ever, 22 years of age and 6 months, who broke all sorts of records, was world number one for 109 weeks, who disappeared, who went to the depths, but has risen again. [Applause] the chairman of the TLPGA there amongst those joining in the celebrations. These are wonderful scenes. Amy, you can see how much it means to her. The emotions pouring out, how much it means to the fans, to a family, to a coach. She’s had an incredible career, but what a moment to come back. 11 years since her last

  1. Yani Tseng was something else many years ago playing on the LPGA ( She bought Annika Sorenstam's old house and was wanting to fill Annikas old Trophy case with her own trophy's) , was winning everything, then had a back injury and never recovered !
She is 36 now good to see her playing well !

  2. Wow ! So happy to see Yani win again . Many years ago , I watched her win in Australia which gave me encouragement to play golf . In 2017 , as a Courtesy Car driver , I drove Yani here in Adelaide and have dreamt that she would return to being the champion that she is and was !

  3. WOW! Good for Yani Tseng! To have struggled as long as she has and to persevere and win again must be extremely gratifying.
