Hello and welcome to Sports Fan Entertainment where despite the Tennessee Titans firing their head coach Brian Callahan, not much has changed quite yet as the Tennessee Titans fell today to the New England Patriots 31-13. 13. Um, guys, we’re not going to be here long today because what’s the point? I mean, honestly, I think the last two videos I made on this channel, I ranted for like over 40 minutes. Am I really just going to rant about the same thing? I mean, now I’m not saying fire Callahan, so that’s something different. And we’ll talk about the game for sure, but we’re not going to be here long because what’s the point? Can we just go live our lives and just not worry about this team and the state of this team and this franchise? I do have some points that I do want to make and obviously I will answer any super chats that come in. But uh I mean this franchise is at a point of complete desperation, failure, misery, depression, the likes of which now I’m about to say or it’s it’s trending towards we’ve never seen and maybe in the Okay, the Oilers actually used to be pretty bad. I think it was like in the 70s. Um, but most of us have never seen, particularly if you’re in the Tennessee Titans era. Now, make no doubt about it. Okay, 2013 was mediocre. 2014 and 15 were really bad. However, uh, if you’re looking back at our history now, uh, 2022 was a 7game uh, losing streak to end that year. 2023 was mediocre at 6 and 11. 2024 was an absolute disaster, and this is barely toward yet another disaster. So, you’re looking at a three, fouryear stretch that is going to go down maybe as the worst in this franchises, at least the Tennessee Titans history. That is what we are barreling towards every week and it’s just fantastic. So, let’s start with this. I already see the cam word hate and I understand the cam word hate because the fumble was awful. It was awful. It was Will Levisesque. He panicked. He lost the ball. It essentially ended the game. So, I’m not here to defend that. But what’s more awful to me today is still the defense. The defense today was so awful. They had no chance except for the occasional sack that somehow happened. And I mean, somehow they ended up today with like five sacks, four sacks. I don’t know how the hell that happened. It was just a random sack here or there. It didn’t really stop them much of doing anything. Ended up with four sacks, by the way. But they had no chance of stopping Drake May from completing passes outside of that. None. He ended up 21 of 23 today. That is why we mainly lost this game. Now, the Cam Ward fumble sensed it, but we had no interest and no chance of stopping this Patriots offense by the time the third quarter got going. None. These corners and our coverages are so awful. And today, it was really a coverage thing more so than a talent thing in my opinion. I mean, there was one pass that was to I want to say it was to Deario Douglas, although it could have been M. Collins where I’m telling you, Jaylen Armor Davis had to be 15 yards off him. He just ran a slant. Boom. It went for 35 yards. And I’m like, wow. They had no interest in covering him at all. What the hell is that? That play was over before it even began. I don’t care if you have the New York Giants 88 defense, okay, or whatever year it was when Lawrence Taylor was doing his thing. No one was going to get to Drake May by the time he was able to hit this for 35 yards. It was incredible. Um, legius needed stinks. Um, that touchdown was absolutely brutal. uh the one that went to Kahan Bouty at the end of the first half and then led to us, you know, ended up that got us to lose the lead and then eventually, you know, started the uh downward spiral that was the rest of this game. Legariously stinks. Jaylen Arbor Davis stinks. Um Roger McCra is not consistent enough. These cornerbacks stink and Dar Wilson stinks. So, he’s next to go. you’re next up. I mean, look, the defense last year, at least statistically, um, when it came to yards wasn’t that bad. But, uh, this year is pretty bad and I can’t defend it, so I won’t defend it. It was awful today. I mean, they just had no chance in hell. Uh, I mean, outside again those random sacks that happen occasionally to stop the occasional drive, uh, the defense had no shot. So, this is why I say as of today, and we have a long way to go when it comes to all of this, guys, but uh we still need to draft defense and a lot of it, okay? Because we still have and I know we have four sacks today. Really relatively no pass rush. And as of today and where we’re going to pick today, unless if we trade down, which is certainly possible, and I think a lot of people are going to recommend that we do that. Even I probably recommend we do that. There’s more defensive talent at the top of the draft than there is um offensive talent really. Like there’s there’s a Jordan Tyson is making a top five argument next year. Okay, I’m intrigued. Carnell Tate is going up boards, but I don’t know if he’s going to end up being a top five pick. Same goes for Mai Lemon. So, those are probably I mean, maybe top 10 picks, but I hope you’re not going to be this bad to where I mean, the only wide receiver, and I can’t even say this anymore, but I was going to say like the only wide receiver I’d ever tank for would be like Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald. I mean, the Cardinals tanked for Marvin Harrison. How has that worked out? Now, they actually went 8-9 last year, but it wasn’t because of him. Not that he was terrible, although he hasn’t had a great start to this year, but I don’t think the reason they were better last year was Marvin Harrison. I mean, not really. And that’s not hating on Marvin Harrison, but same goes for the Giants and Milique Neighbors. Like, I like wide receivers and you need wide receivers. I’m not saying you don’t, but I think the first thing you do is you build up your trenches. And right now, we could use a damn edge. Actually, we could use three. Okay, so let’s just not ignore that because it’s probably a bigger deal in my view, but we have plenty of time to discuss that. So, so the fumble of Cam Ward was awful. I’m not saying it wasn’t. The interception was not good. Okay, now I don’t really care too much about that because it was garbage time. However, what we’re consistently seeing today is Cam Ward, for some reason, is slowing behind these wide receivers on these slant routes. Now, why this is happening, I don’t know. It’s a consistent thing at this point. I think he probably needs to slow down his um release a little bit and just make sure you’re hitting them in their hands in the bread basket in front of them, particularly on the slant, man. Like that’s why you got the interception. Ello Manor, I think it was in the first quarter there was a pass behind him that led us to only ultimately get a field goal in that drive. Some balls get away from camp. Some balls do. There was at the end of the drive, at the end of the first half, there was a ball that sailed out of bounds for Gunnar Helm. Some of these pass get away from him. With that said, let’s not act like he was inaccurate today because he was 25 of 34. Okay? And most of the game he was 70%. So yes, there were a couple of misses, but he was 70% for most of the game. And whatever 25 divided by 34 is, what is that? That’s 5 / 7 almost, which is like um what is that? Uh, even I can’t do the quick math on that. 71. So, um, yeah, I mean, I’m not really going to go too harsh. He’s missed some throws. The quarterbacks missed throws, unless if you’re Drake May, apparently today, but if he goes 25 out of 34 for the rest of his career, I’m happy. Um, so that’s not my main concern. The fumble is my concern. And then, yeah, just some of these slants like, can you just hit them a little bit more in stride, please? Please. Thank you. But it’s better than some of these games where we’ve had where the Broncos it was under 50%. And again, I know there were drops in that game. I don’t care. Um, if you get under 50%, I can’t defend you. I mean, it’s it’s I I I would really have to see a lot of drops. And in that game, there were five. So, if they don’t have the five drops, and yes, he goes over 50%, but it’s still not great. And then the Texans game where he was 10 of 26. So the encouraging thing is last week he was 26 of 38 and this week he was 25 of 34. So the complete percentage is going up. Um yeah so I just looked at the complete percent today it was 73.5. Boom. Last week it was 68.4. Boom. Now what I don’t love is this is now the fifth straight game with an interception. This is now five games total this year with a fumble loss. Not good. And this is not surprising because he was a very turnoverprone quarterback in college. Now he was very touchdown too and we haven’t seen that unfortunately. And the hope was and is that we get that upside and not as much of the downside. So that’s something that we have to see more of um when it came to his ability to deal with pressure today. Um, I think it was actually slightly better actually. And I know that’s going to be a little surprising because I’m pretty sure he took Yeah. five sacks. Some of those were only one or two yards cuz he was trying to escape and then he couldn’t ultimately. I did not think Kevin Zitler played well today. I thought he had his worst game as a Tennessee Titan by far. He was the one I noticed the most. Laam also let up a sack as well, so that wasn’t great. But yeah, the only thing that I’m concerned of is the fumbles. The interceptions, again, it wasn’t a great interception by any means, but I’m not going crazy yet cuz he hasn’t had a multi-interception game yet. He’s just had five straight games with one, which isn’t good, right? You don’t want to throw interception every game. Boom, you have 17 interceptions on the year, right? That’s not something that’s good either. But I’m not panicking. I I mean, I I I know a lot of people are. I’m not. And then I hate the revisionist history. Like the people are making the argument because this is the big storyline for this game is ah the Tennessee Titans shouldn’t let go of Mike Vrabel. They made a huge mistake letting go of Mike Vrabel. And here’s the argument that just defeats that. If we kept Mike Vrabel for 2024, if we did this, what is our record in 2024? Now, I will grant you it’s going to be better than three and 14. He’s going to win us more games than Brian Callingham, but are you willing to sit here and tell me we have a winning record last year? There’s no way in hell that team goes six and 11 at best. So, you’re telling me that Mike Vrabel after going seven and 10, six and 11, and then, and I’m being generous here, six and 11, you think we would have kept him? That is one of the dumbest arguments out there. He would have been fired after that third season anyway. So, you can say they did it early. Okay, they would have done it anyway. that team last year is not winning more than six games. And if you watch that terrible team, you know that. If you’re watching this terrible team, you know that. I don’t even think uh Vince Lombardi can get this team to seven, eight wins right now. I don’t know if it’s possible. I don’t know if it’s possible. So, I just don’t want to hear it. It just doesn’t make any sense. You’re just completely ignoring we had a whole year without him. We wouldn’t have been good with him. and then they fire him. It doesn’t matter. Or we have another bad year this year and we fire him. The the whole thing was screwed. You’re not going three straight losing seasons unless if your name is like Robert Salah and for some reason the Jets keep trying the Aaron Rogers thing and kind of Aaron Rogers injury save so otherwise he would have been fired. If you go seven and 10, six and 11, six and 11 like your boy Arthur Smith did in Atlanta, you get fired. You can’t go three seasons without a winning year. Not in today’s NFL. You can’t remember that getting rid of John Harbaugh because he’s gonna have one losing season in the last um probably now it’s been when did Lamar Jackson get um drafted? Eight years and they’re probably going to fire him. Okay? So, you just can’t do it. Like he was he was going to be fired. I I’m telling you, he was going to be fired. And you’re also ignoring the fact that he wanted more control over the roster. They might have given it to him and I don’t think he should have it. But um to me, no matter what, this team is not good last year. He gets fired anyway. It’s a terrible argument. It doesn’t make any sense. Sometimes these marriages, they’re just doomed to fail. Shawn Payeyton couldn’t go um having multiple losing seasons in New Orleans. I think he did go seven and nine for like those three years in New Orleans. He did do that and then eventually they got tired of him and they moved off from him. And maybe you say today they regret it. I I I don’t think that they do. Now they haven’t had much success since then, but he would have been fired anyway. Like he would have been fired anyway. I’m just telling you, Mike McCarthy would have been fired anyway. He He went 12 and five for three straight years and then last year had a down year going eight and nine, he got fired. That’s a consistent playoff team. He got fired. So, you think we’re going to have three losing seasons in a row and keep our head coach? No way. It’s It’s nuts. And people keep making this argument. So, anyway, and look, he’s doing well with the Patriots right now, and good for him. Drake May’s playing great. I think some of that has to be attributed to Josh McDaniels, obviously, because God knows Mike Gribble doesn’t know anything about offense except for maybe running the football. Um, so keep that in mind. And then also keep in mind that they haven’t had the strongest schedule. The only winning team that they’ve beaten and it’s a very impressive one is the Bills. Okay, that’s it. Uh, they beat the Dolphins, they beat the Panthers, they beat Although, never mind, now the Panthers are a winning team. Um, they beat the Bills, the Saints and so look, they had a weak schedule. I had them making the playoffs this year cuz I looked ahead at their schedule. I was like, “Wow, they’re probably going to make the playoffs as long as they get something out of Drake May.” Anyone could have seen this coming. If you had any sort of understanding of the Patriots team and their schedule this year, you you saw it coming. This is not shocking to to anyone who was paying attention. This is not shocking at all. Okay. And then we’ll see what he does after that. So, that’s it on that. So, what else do I even want to hit on? Um, oh, the one thing, uh, when it comes to Mike McCoy and my thoughts on him. So, look, I’ve been saying for weeks I think they’re going to pick Mike McCoy. He’s the one that has head coaching experience as long as he wants it because I don’t know if he wants it anymore. I don’t know if he still had a desire to be a head coach or to be an interim. So, you always have to consider that and I don’t talk to him. So, I don’t know. Um, but it looks like he wanted it. He took it and things started off great. Um, we actually ran the ball a little bit to set up play action and look, Cam Ward had a beautiful couple of throws there. The initial throw to uh, Chamir DK over the middle followed by that play action bomb for the touchdown. I mean, look, we were riding high after the first half, at least offensively. I was feeling great about Kim Ward. And again, that’s why I don’t think while it was a really bad fumble, that completely negates the first half that he had, that was extremely strong and the most complete half he’s had in his NFL career. I I don’t think you can now just throw that away and discount that. It was very impressive. And now for the first time, okay, we’re seeing signs of life from Trimmer DK because, you know, people, they just want to slot in, you know, whatever. Um, up to this point in this game, he has nine catches for 26 yards. So, before this game, I didn’t care about Chamir DK. Let me know when he does something outside of the return game. With the returning game, yes, I like Chamir DK. And then we saw that today is he had four catches for 70 yards and the receiving touchdown. Okay, so now I see, okay, we can maybe slot him in for future plans as the slot wide receiver for this team, as a piece moving forward for this team that we have to account for and that we can actually be somewhat excited about. So that was nice to see. All right. Uh, so there was that. Um, I don’t know why we abandoned the run. I thought that was the one real criticism I had of Mike McCoy today. I thought that was a big mistake because ultimately we ran the ball 12 times. We threw the ball 34. Uh, no. Um, we still need to be a running football team. We still need to set up play action. I’m not saying we had tremendous success running the ball today. Tai J Spirits five carries for 22 yards and Tony Per six carries for 18, but you you have a rookie quarterback. I mean, you still need to run the ball. You still need to set a play action. you still need to ease the things that you’re asking of him. And I think ultimately they kind of went away from that. So that’s something that I would like to see more of moving forward. Um I will say this, I mean, we did have Tony Per doing more things in the pass game. So maybe that was a reason why they were doing more of the short pass game than running the ball. I still think you have to run the ball. And uh Tony Appli did have six catches for 43 yards, but uh still run the ball. Uh people want me to give Van Jefferson his flowers. Uh no, look, he’s playing fine right now. He’s actually being more reliable than I would have anticipated for him. But I got a tweet today and he was like, “Man, you were wrong about Van Jefferson. He’s been really good.” I’m like, “Dude, what are you talking about? He’s on pace for 300 yards this season. When is that moving any sort of needle whatsoever? He’s had two games where he’s played decent. The first four or five games of the he was completely non-existent. So, I can’t give you credit for the last two games when the first five games of the year you were completely non-existent. Like, you couldn’t have been more non-existent. So, I’m not giving you credit for that. if he continues this up then okay maybe but he hasn’t done that. Um let’s see so look obviously and I I never would have championed this unless we just went on an incredible run. Um Mike McCoy is not our future head coach. I don’t think anyone was anticipating that. I don’t think anyone was asking for that. I don’t think that was on anyone’s radar anyway. So um you know one step towards that although I got to be honest with you I’m very annoyed at some of the reports and the very early reports uh in terms of who that we are interested in that Matt Naggie who was a failure in Chicago is being heavily considered that Arthur Smith is being considered that Anthony Weaver is being considered where’s Joe Brady where’s Cliff Kingsbury on these lists these lists are not looking impressive to me whatsoever in terms of early interest. If they get Matt Naggie just because he’s Boronzi’s boy. Borghazi, congratulations. You’re now on the clock because I don’t know why you would hire him other than him being your boy. You’re now on the clock. Do not love that at all. I don’t love it at all. And I know, well, he has experience. Well, I don’t care. Uh I I saw him flame out in Chicago and I know Matt Eber flu wasn’t much better, but at all. Um, but I just have no interest in Matt Naggie. I mean, I really don’t. I mean, I He’s just a product of the Andy Reid machine there in Kansas City. And I know he had the one year very successful year with Mit Trabisky. They went like 12 and four. They made the playoffs. Okay. And then he did nothing. So, uh, and Matt and and they never developed Mitch Strabisky and he was ultimately fired as a result of that. I just don’t have an interest in Mana. I’m sorry. I just don’t. So that’s the one thing there. The only argument for me for him is he has a winning record. So you can give him that. Like he went 34 and 31. Okay, give him that. But other than that, I mean Bears fans are not crying about Matt Naggie not being there and you can ask them about that. So we’re going to see hopefully we get some more interesting names out there because as of right now, I’m not loving uh what I’m hearing in terms of that discussion. I did also want to have this discussion. So, we need to talk a little bit about Amy Adam because I continue to be somewhat of a defender of hers. And here’s why. So, you remember she took over in 2015. She was like instrumental in us hiring John Robinson. She was instrumental in us firing Mike Malarkey and bringing in Mike Verel. So, for the first six years of her head uh of her ownership, things were going pretty good. The only thing I was annoyed by was I thought we ruined Mariota. Uh turns out Mariota, just with the injuries and some of the things psychologically kind of got in the way. I think clearly she’s made bad hires since then. The Brian Callahan hire ultimately was not good. Now, would I have done it? Yes. He was my number one candidate. Mike McDonald was my number two. I didn’t sit down with him, by the way. So, maybe if I did, I would have made a different decision. But just based off paper and resume, she made a bad hype. I’m still not blaming her for the Mike Vrabel thing because I think while we’re slightly better last year, I think we’re still not good and he gets fired anyway. So, I don’t care about that. She fired John Robinson, which I think we all agree we’re fine with. I do have a problem with the hiring and firing of Ran Carthan as quickly as it was. That signals a little bit of dysfunction and now the Calante. So, it’s clearly gotten worse. However, for me, what I want my owners to do mostly in most cases is to cut the checks and shut up. Mostly the only cases in which that is not true is if you have a legitimate football or basketball, whatever sport it is background and you actually have input to give. If you’re just writing checks, write checks. kiss babies, come to the games, that’s it. I also have a problem with how bad the stadium is right now. It’s not in great shape. The fan experience is not great. So, I have a problem with that. But I’m going to give her another shot here. And ultimately, it’s not my choice because the only way she’s not going to be owner is if they kick her out. And there’s no indication of that right now. Like, I do believe she still only owns a third. So technically the other two atoms could force her out. Um but I don’t know how good they are. Like the the son or uh I’m not sure if it’s her son or Bud’s son. It should be Bud’s son. One of the sons has no interest. I mean every time I see him it’s like dude the guy’s barely alive. I mean like I I’m telling you. So I I know that son has no interest. And then there’s another one which I think is her husband technically um that also owns a third uh let me look up exactly what the breakdown is. So they would have to band together and uh kick her out which I don’t foresee anytime soon. Now if things get worse here it certainly could happen or at least continue the way it is. Uh but I would have to see it. Okay. So right now, let me reframe that. So Amy Adamark owns 50%. The other 50% is uh by Kenneth Adams the fourth, Barkley Adams, who that’s the kid I was talking about. He looks like he has no interest. None. Uh and then Susan Lewis, who’s the widow of But Adams son, Kenneth Adams I3, um and mother of Kenneth Adams IVth and Barkley Adams. Okay. So, uh, unless of these guys band together, I don’t see her being forced out anytime soon. Now, she is 70 years old, but she looks to be in good health. I don’t think she’s going to, um, you know, have any health problems or anything like that to give up ownership in terms of something like that. So, I just think she’s entrusted some of the wrong people because the Brinker thing was weird. They trusted Ran. It ended up not working out at all. and then she trusted Callahan. Also ended up not working out at all. So I think we’re on a bad run. I don’t think that it completely negates the first six years, though. Not yet. If we have two more years of this, okay, get rid of her. Um, but I’m not completely in the get rid of her today train like a lot of people. The only thing that really makes me would ever say that would be the fan experience because the fan experience right now is awful. But I’m also considering the fact that I think they don’t care because they have a new stadium coming out. So, they’re letting this stadium and this fan experience be absolutely terrible. Uh considering the fact that they’re getting a new stadium anyway and they’re just putting all their effort and money into that. Um which is lazy and I’m not going to completely excuse that. I think it’s kind of stupid, but I think that’s what they’re doing. So, that’s currently where I’m at when it comes to the ownership thing, but I think these discussions are going to continue. Um, and you know, we’ll see. I mean, we’ll see. And then I mean, I would I would say though, and I think her because she wasn’t that rich actually when she took ownership. Now, I think her net worth has actually gone up pretty substantially. Okay. Now it’s like we’re two billion. I mean there are now we’re in a weird era and not a good era by the way where these rich oligarchs are coming in and buying up a lot of these sports teams, buying up a lot of these movie studios and stuff like that. So you could have just a billionaire tycoon who um you know has an interest in this team and makes an offer they can’t refuse. I mean it could happen. We don’t have that many billionaires here in Tennessee. like the only ones that might do it is the Frist family and I think if they had any interest in that they would have done it already. We have also the um the uh I think Fred Smith who I don’t know does he still own the Grizzlies? I think he does. Uh Fred Smith if he ever wanted to do something like that. The CEO of FedEx and then Oh, he’s dead. Never mind. I just looked that up. Um, by the way, that’s not funny. I didn’t mean to laugh at his death. May he rest in peace. Um, let’s see. Who’s that other family or the Hasslams? If the H but the Hasslams are crazy. I mean, you want anything to do with the Hasslams after what they’re doing to Cleveland? So, that’s not much better either. So, um, but those are really our only billionaires. Like I’m telling you all, we don’t have many billionaires in this state. It’s like the Fris, the Smiths, um the Hasslams, that’s it. We have a lot of rich country stars, but they’re not billionaires. They can’t afford a team. Um you know, they they might be multi-millionaires. Like I’m sure Miley Cyrus has probably a net worth of three 400 million, but not the two plus billion dollars that would be required to to to buy this team. So, I I just don’t know if that’s happening for you. We just haven’t built those industrial oligarchs here. So, we would just have to see on that. Maybe one day when I become a tech genius, maybe I’ll do it, but we’re still years away from that, unfortunately. So, we’ll see on that. Let’s see. Is there anything else to discuss? Who do we face next week? So, next week, the Tennessee Titans will have the honor, the joy of going to Indianapolis to face the Indianapolis Colts yet another 325 game. Great. H That’s just terrific. Um where the Colts are still playing really well. In fact, right now they’re up 20-3 over the LA Chargers in LA. So again, Shane Stiken doing his thing, Daniel Jones doing his thing as they continue to roll and uh play really well. I mean, maybe we sneak up on them as they’re really playing well and they sleep on us, but considering how much they dominated us in the previous game, I have my doubts, but that’s just me. Okay. Um I think that’s pretty much going to do it for me. sports fan entertainment. Tennessee Titans fall to the New England Patriots 31-13. [Music] Look, we stink. We get it. It’s terrible. But we’re going to have a new coach eventually and then we’re going to have another draft and probably I mean now we have to be barreling towards a top five pick. I I’d be very shocked if these team doesn’t end up with a top five pick. The only thing that might stop that is we have a higher strength of schedule than I would like. So, we’re going to end up losing that tiebreaker to several teams. But outside of that, man, uh this team’s pretty bad. I mean, they’re going to be picking top five, and we’ll see what they end up doing with that pick. Until next time, this has been MJ of Sports Fit Entertainment, and I’m out. See you all later. 1. One thing people aren’t pointing out is that the offense never has the ball. The defense is always on the field cuz they’re trash!

  2. I miss the old way you used to do videos after rewatching the highlights and not going live. I wish you would go back to actually analyzing the game.

  3. We rushed for a measly 39 yards today!! Peyton Manning couldn’t win with that!!! This offensive line is the worst in titans history!! J Charmin Latham is a HUGE bust! He couldn’t even stop the Patriots back up rushers today!!

  4. That TD to Boutee was Diggs fault. He was supposed to be playing deep middle but came up for some odd reason. Sneed hasn't been good. Outside of big Jeff this season who has?

  5. If you didn’t bet the patriots plus the spread and make easy money this weekend, I feel bad for you. One of the guarantees this weekend Vrabel coming back to Tennessee was going to win no matter what

  6. I noticed Ernest Jones is crushing it on the Seahawks. Still a head scratcher why we just gave away yet another quality starter for nothing. Its almost like the team doesnt want to win.
