Hey everybody, welcome back to the channel. Last week, this dozen golf balls, if they were authentic, and if you found them on eBay, would probably cost you somewhere between $150 and $200. This is the titleist Prov1 Left Dot, and the brand has just re-released it. At the same time, this box contains a dozen Titles Prov1X left dash golf balls. They’re prototypes. They’ve been all over the PJ tour for the last couple of weeks. Starting on September 23rd, you’re going to be able to once again buy the Titles Prov1 left dot. And pretty soon, I would imagine we’re going to be seeing the new updated version of the Titus Prov1X Left Dash. So, let’s get into a discussion about what these golf balls are about, who they’re going to be designed for, what we know right now, and help you decide if these are golf balls that you should be testing. Okay, so we’ll start the discussion with the Titus Prov1 left out. Now, this golf ball was first developed back in 2014 is what’s referred to as a custom performance option, a CPO. See, Titus feels that for the most part, the Titles Prov1 and the Prov1X are going to properly fit the vast majority of golfers. And truth be told, on the PGA Tour, most players either use a Prov1 or Prov1X. But there’s a very small number of players that can get a performance benefit from balls that have slightly different characteristics than the standard Prov1 and Prov1X. So, back in 2014, Titleist developed the Prov1 left dot for a very small number of players. According to the company, when it does golf ball fittings, about only about 3 or 4% of the players that it tests get into Prov1 left dot, but it is a pretty illustrious group of players who have used it. Henrik Stenson has won with Prov1 left dot. Um Tony Fina has won on the PJ tour with this golf ball and Patrick Reed won the 2018 Masters using Titus Prov1 Left Dot. Right away, it garnered a lot of attention amongst players who knew about this golf ball before Titleist released it originally a couple of years ago in very limited quantities and obviously it sold out like crazy um all over the United States and immediately these golf balls on eBay became hot collector’s items. There was a mystique about this golf ball that created demand because the supply from Titus was cut off prices for these golf balls went through the roof on eBay. So from a plane characteristic, what is the deal with Prov1 left out? Well, this golf ball is all about sort of fitting in between some pre-existing products within the Titus lineup. See, this golf ball is designed to create less spin than Prov1 and also fly lower than Prov1, but at the same time provide a lot of the green side spin that Prov1 is really known for. So, like the original Prov1, the left dot version is a three-piece golf ball. It has a large rubber core and a casing layer that’s surrounding it. And then on top of that, on the outside is a very soft urethane cover. Now, the urethane cover over the much firmer casing layer helps to players create a lot more green side spin. So, that’s what’s going to really help you and benefit you on approach shots as well as pitch shots and chip shots and other shots you’re going to hit around the green. However, with irons as well as off the tee, the Prov1 left dot is going to fly lower and spin less than the standard Prov1. It’s also going to feel very soft. probably not quite as soft as the standard Prov1, but you can really think from a performance standpoint, Prov1 left dot fits in between standard Prov1 and AVX. AVX is the lowest spinning as well as the softest feeling, lowest compression golf ball in the Titus premium lineup. Now, if we go to the other side of the spectrum, this is the prototype version of the Titus Prov1X Left Dash. Now, Left Dash also started its lifetime as a custom performance option, a CPO just like Left Dot. Now, while the Titles Prov1 Left Dot has only been available one time, and that was in a really limited run, Titles Prov1X Left Dash has been available really for years since it was originally offered to the public again back in 2018 after it was no longer a custom performance option. Titles Pro 1X Left Dash is the firmst feeling golf ball in the Titleist stable. It is also going to be the fastest golf ball. So, this ball is really all about distance, especially distance off the tea as well as with your irons. It is designed to spin less than the standard Prov1X. Prov1X, if you remember, is the spinniest golf ball in the Titles lineup. So, this is going to give you that combination of high launch, high-speed, low spin. And when you put all that together, that is really going to be maximizing out distance for players at basically every level of golf. Now, it also is going to spin less with your irons as well as on approach shots than the standard Prov 1X. So, you’re getting a little bit of a trade-off with this ball. This ball is all about maximizing distance. If you’re a golfer who is really trying to work the ball, the curve in draws and phase to really work the ball high and low. This ball will be a little bit more challenging to do that with than the standard Prov 1X. So, both of these balls, Titleist um Prov1 Left Dot as well as Prov1X left dash, very low spin. You’re getting a lower flight with the Prov1 left dot. You’re getting a higher flight with the Prov1X left dash. So, what is new with the prototype version that’s right now out on the PGA Tour? We don’t know. Titles has been mum about the details. And when you take a look at a golf ball, it’s really hard to tell what is new about a golf ball if you can’t see it on the cover. And I don’t know about you, but my eyes look at all the dimples that are on the golf balls and it’s white and there’s some different side stamp markings. I can’t visually tell a difference between the left dash version that’s in the prototype stage as well as the left dashes that have been available to the public and and at retail and such like that. But what we can probably assume is that this golf ball is going to maintain its niche, maintain its position within the titles lineup. Again, only about 6 to 8% of people who go through a Titus golf ball fitting, elite players as well as recreational golfers end up getting fit into the Titles Prov1X left dash. This is not a golf ball for everybody. Okay, so overall performance being taken into account, it’s a relatively small number of players who left dash is going to be ideal for just like a very small number of players are going to be ideal for left dot. Now, we don’t know exactly when the new titleist Prov1X left dash, that’s the prototype, is going to be in stores or available to the public at retail. But if history is a guide, titles generally brings out new golf balls around the time or during the PGA merchandise show that happens every year towards the end of January in Orlando, Florida. So, we can expect to probably see some type of new retail version of Prov1X Left Dash at least in the first quarter of 2026. These golf balls, the Prov1 left dot again are going to be available starting on the 23rd of September in 2025. There is, according to Titles, is going to be a limit of two dozen per order. And I would expect that once again, because it’s a limited run, these will be basically selling out very, very fast. Now, who should be looking into these golf balls? Who are they really designed for? If you’re a player who creates an excessive amount of spin, so much spin, for example, that you are turning a power fade into a slice, or you tend to hit your drives and your iron shots excessively high, then Prov1 left dot can help you lower the trajectory of your shots and probably get a little bit more distance. If you’re somebody who likes a really soft feeling golf ball, Prov1 left dot also might be a really good option for you. However, if you’re somebody who really is looking to maximize out distance, you want more height with that low spin condition, then Prov1X Left Dash is going to be an option you’re going to want to try out and compare with standard Prov1X. From a sound perspective, Prov1X Left Dash is going to have a much more clicky, high-pitch sound at the moment of impact, whereas the Prov1 Left Dot is going to have a much lower sound, a softer sound at the moment of impact. You’re going to feel this ball almost sitting on the face just a little bit longer because it will compress more easily. The only real way to know which one of these two golf balls is for you is to go out, get yourself some golf balls, and drop them around the green. Hit a series of chip shots, pitch shots, work your way back into hitting irons, and then testing them off the tea and find out which golf ball performs best for you. And I can fully appreciate that that’s actually going to be really tricky because if the Prov1 left dot ends up selling out quickly and it’s a limited run, then that might be really challenging. Now, at the same time, if only 3 or 4% of the players out there in Titus own golf ball fittings end up being Prov1 left dot players, it really should tell you that you probably aren’t going to be one of those players that this is ideally suited for. Again, Titus really feels that Prov1 and Prov1X, the standard golf balls in its lineups, the real workh horses of the lineup, those are going to be the best golf balls for the vast majority of players. It’s a very niche player. uh it’s a very specific type of player that prob left out will really be truly ideal for and chances are it’s probably not you. We’re talking three or four out of every 100 golfers out there. So if you don’t have the opportunity to get these golf balls, which are going to be on sale for $55 a dozen. If you don’t have a chance to get out there and try them, don’t worry about it. It’s okay. Chances are really good that Prov1 or Prov1X is going to be an ideal golf ball for you. And if you find that Prov1 is still a little bit too firm and a little bit too spinny, try AVX. If you’re someone who’s looking for even more speed and you definitely want to have a higher trajectory than Prov1X, you can get the current version of Prov1X Left Dash and give that a try. So, I realize in this video it may be a little bit frustrating because in the prototype stage of Prov1X Left Dash, I don’t have all the details about what is going to be different about this version over the version you can currently buy, but that’s where we are at this point. And hopefully this has answered quite a few questions for you about how the Prov1 Left Dot and the Prov1X Left Dash fit into the Titleless golf ball lineup. 1. Great overview, I appreciate your straightforward delivery and concise breakdown. I am interested to see how long the limited run will last, I missed the first one.

  2. Surprisingly I’m in the minority that was fitted into the Pro V1x left dash golf ball. I would have to fall in love with a ball that’s going to be a limited run. Should I even try the Pro V1 left dot?
