Well, when it comes to giving back, PGA Tour winner Cameron Champ is definitely about that life. And today, the Sacramento golfer was back in the community that raised him to celebrate the launch of an incredible program that is sure to change lives. [Music] [Applause] Yes. Welcome to the grand opening of the Cameron Champ Foundation Golf and Wellness Lounge. Now, this lounge is located at Foothill Ranch Middle School in Trenton Rivers Unified School District, a place Cameron is quite familiar with. Now, Cameron grew up in the Foothill Farms community attending Frontier Elementary School. So, what exactly is this lounge? Well, this is a special place that combines golf technology and wellness resources to help students develop skills both on and off the course. Now, this after school program will provide the youth with all kinds of opportunities, including character development and leadership, all while maintaining a supportive environment. Now, Cameron’s father, Jeff uh Champ, attended Foothill Ranch Middle School and was instrumental in assisting Cameron with this launch. And for Cameron, it’s all about being a light to the next generation of golfers. We always want to find ways to give back to to the community. Um, and just obviously with with with my golf background and and kind of, you know, what we want to do, you know, the game brings a lot to the kids. I think more so just mentorship, somebody the kids can talk to, hang out with, have a positive figure, um, you know, like you said, we use the the game as as the main element. You know, they can come learn something different. Um, you know, it takes a lot of practice, will, um, patience. There’s not many schools that have this. Um, and most of them if they do have it, it’s private schools. So, um, yeah, like I said, just to have something like this for the kids, you know, to come hit balls, you know, it can tell you everything from what you’re doing wrong in your swing to what you’re doing good to seeing all the numbers to it does a lot of things, but again, to have this tool, you know, if if I would have had this tool as a kid, it would have been amazing. Um, like you said, just come here, hit balls. It’s very accurate. It does everything you need. Um, and like you said, it’s just mixed in with this and everything else. It’s just a very fun environment. So, it makes it again, it makes the game a little more fun. Um, you know, I know as kids, knowing myself as a kid, I didn’t want to practice as much. I like to play, but again, you know, having something like this, it just it draws a different kind of a different feeling with it.
