A T100 9-iron, 7-iron, and 4-iron may look similar, but under the hood, they are different machines. Tom Kim has a go at the full range to see if the tech in each meets Tour standards.

150 into a breeze trouble short false front and not good long. Marne, we got a control spin. That’s kind of the the name of the game. Tell me about that. In this new T100, we’ve got new grooves in this end of the set where essentially we’re trying to make your distance from fairway and from that first cut more consistent. We’re trying to lessen that spin drop from that lie versus this lie here. Oh. Oh, perfect. Yeah, really nice. Yeah, that strike was perfect. 8,800 8600 8700 8800 8600. I mean, that’s awesome, right? That’s that’s all I could ask for. It takes a lot of pressure off of a player because if you’re coming down 16 with a two shot lead and you find the rough here and you’re hit trying to hit over water and long is bad and you don’t know what your spin’s going to do, it’s not going to help. Um, so having that tighter dispersion where you know your spin numbers are going to be consistent helps a lot. Yeah, we’ve got one set up with a little bit longer. Marty, you want to walk and tell us about what’s going on under the hood of that seven iron? So now versus like say the 9 iron, right? Now we have different considerations for this in terms of trajectory which you’re looking for and also control internally. You have highdensity tungsten in the heel and toe. You also have a VFT in that lower half of the face. Okay. Right. So these things are now adding to having a little bit higher MOI. So now it’s going to give you a little bit more heel toe, club head stability versus an iron iron where you’re not really looking for that. It’s going to help a little bit on those slight m hits, heel toe and high, right? Because we’re our baseline is always to look at your turf fairway shot. That’s where you guys are primarily playing golf from. And then to look at the other areas of the face and see how we can make those more consistent with that turf shot. So back toback shots there. I’ll have you hit one more. Again, 169 carry, 170 carry. So, right on your number, 6650 and the prior shot 6700 even. So, a 50 spin difference there. Really tight and consistent. Oh, that’s so good. Last one yet. Get in. That was pretty good. Those balls are literally 3 and 1/2 ft away from one another. That’s pretty easy. Don’t think we need to say anything else. Yeah. Well, let’s hit that 4 iron uh over the water like you just talked about. So, Marty, what’s going on in this T100 4 iron? We’ve added the muscle channel in this in this head. So, now that has the same type of muscle channel that was in the T-150. It helps give you more forgiveness of speed and launch. So, those two things in the four and the three iron now in the new T100 are making this uh a better long iron for this set. Oh my god, it’s so nice. So, would you say, Tom, that that’s your older T200 flight in a T100 package? I’m sorry, I was looking at that. No, that’s it’s pretty good for foreign. Oh, there it is. What in the world? Oh, that’s so good. Go in. Look at that. Come look at this thing back. 105 ft. 4700 spin. So, that’s still up. Super steep land angle. Wow. Maybe a gamer. Pretty good. Wow. This is nice. Tom Kim, he’s a joy to work with. just to see the different shots and considerations that he has at each distance and then see how those improvements realize in the distance control that he got was just totally cool.
