On Sunday, June 29, 4 Aces GC standout, Patrick Reed, took the podium at Maridoe Golf Club to discuss his Individual Title at @LIVGolf Dallas.

Reed secured his 1st individual win in 41 starts at LIV Golf and moved up to 4th in the 2025 Individual LIV Golf League standings. And it’s his first worldwide win since the 2024 Hong Kong Open, and he further bolstered his case to make the 2025 United States @RyderCup Team at Bethpage Black – a course that Reed won on in 2016.

Also his @4AcesGC finished in 2nd place to Crushers GC and moved up to 4th in the 2025 Team standings.

all right let’s welcome to the Live Golf Dallas media center our 2025 individual champion Patrick Reid of four aces GC congratulations Patrick thank you so Patrick you win your first live golf title and your 41st start out here and your first pro win in your home state of Texas what kind of emotions are you feeling right now
i don’t like hearing those numbers took me 41 times just to win out here i mean yeah I mean it took too long I felt like but uh you know to kind of check two things off not only winning for the first time on Live but also doing in my home state means a lot um you know it’s just been I felt like a long time coming to you know win out here i feel like the game’s been solid it’s just you know even like today you always deal with adversity throughout every tournament you play it’s just how you’re going to respond and handle it and um you know luckily I was able to kind of ride the ship today and get in the playoff and uh you know make that putt at the end
i was going to ask you to take us through the day you probably didn’t think 75 would get the job done but Merido proved to be really challenge challenging test this week bummer yeah you know um yeah the golf course was a a pure test out there i mean if you hit a poor golf shot you’d struggle and kind of have to figure out a way to try to make par but if you hit quality golf shots you’re rewarded around this place and uh you know unfortunately I honestly felt like I hit a lot of quality golf shots just I mean the putter was flat and I didn’t really make anything today besides hitting it close there on the first hole and uh you know from that point on I couldn’t quite figure out the speed didn’t really have it dialed and uh you know when your speed’s kind of off of here especially at a place like this it’s hard to make putts and uh you know to be able to make that putt on the end during the playoff meant a lot um you know I looked down my putter and uh it’s actually my daughter’s putter it’s her head and it says Windsor wells all over it and uh I just looked down I was like come on honey we got to make one and um you know for that putt to go in meant a lot uh not only to get the win but also uh to do it uh after changing quite some things in in in the golf bag kind of leading into the open and to uh come out and win against a field like this is gives me all the confidence in the world going forward
all right we’ll open it up for questions to the media if you have a question please raise your hand matt over here to the right patrick what do you think that says about you that when things get tight and despite struggling on the front nine able to make a bunch of clutch up and downs on the back n to keep things together and eventually make a great iron shot to win in the playoff
yeah you know um I think the biggest turning point today would have been there on hole 12 uh thought actually hit a decent drive it just was a hair lower than the previous day so it didn’t quite kind of peel with the wind and end up in that left roof and I had opportunity to maybe be stupid and try to go through the tree over you know to try to hit it towards the green and uh Cass is like “Hey just let’s lean on the wedge game and and get it done.” And to be able to go ahead and lay up and get up and down for par from 150 yards uh that gave me the confidence kind of going forward that hey the game’s where it needs to be you just need to ride the ship you got you got all the bad stuff out of the way so now let’s go out and uh try to win this golf tournament and um you know I was lucky enough there to have you started hitting the ball a little better there on the back nine towards the back half and uh was able to give myself a lot of decent buddy looks just you know unfortunately didn’t really make any until the last hole
you had a pretty sick club twirl on the playoff hole did you feel it coming off the face
yeah when I hit it I mean I knew it was going to be pretty good distance-wise the biggest thing was out of the rough i mean the ball gets so squirly you just don’t know if it’s going to go with the wind or stay straight but uh I felt like I made a really quality golf swing there and uh you know I got rewarded for it for kind of staying straight rather than kind of drifting with the wind and to be able to go ahead and make that putt that drip speed like that uh especially after missing so many putts that really throughout the day I felt like I had a lot of speed putts it was you had to match up a perfect speed with the line and unfortunately I wasn’t able to do that basically all day and to be able to do that on the end meant a lot congratulations
thanks buddy any other questions all right I think we’re good thank you thanks buddy
oh I’m sorry one more over here
yep go ahead one last question
i I just wanted to I’m with the Tyler paper pat Wheeler congratulations real happy for you
uh I just would like for you to comments on the golf course it was like a major championship setup wasn’t it i mean I saw the rough it was amazing to watch you guys try to hit out of that Bermuda yeah that Bermuda R’s never fun especially when it’s dry like that cuz the ball always seems to sit down to the bottom but uh no the golf course was set up tough fair and it was one of these golf courses that if you hit your T-shot solid and put the ball in play you you could attack this place but if you got just a hair off I mean you could struggle and uh you know you definitely not only had to hit the ball solid but you had to really kind of manage your game around this place because with the wind kind of swirling and kind of pumping quite a bit and with how hot it was I mean you know it is in Texas i mean one one minute there’s no wind next minute blowing 20 so uh yeah you know it was a mental and physical grind out there and luckily we were able to kind of get the job done
i hate to be out of line to do this but somebody came up to me from Streetport Louisiana he had the same thought I had we want to see you on the RDER Cup team
i appreciate it buddy so do I all right congratulations Patrick thanks buddy
