welcome my fellow golf ball addicts welcome back to the channel and we are doing a retest of the Vice lineup the Pro Air the Pro and the Pro Plus let’s dive right in guys as always if you like this content please like the video subscribe all the good free stuff and then if you want to support it further we offer a membership it just starts at a dollar a month and that helps me provide all kinds of more content to you i really appreciate all the newcomers to the channel as well as my longtime golf ball addicts you guys are the best so why are we retesting the Vice series well for a couple reasons one Vice has been a golf ball that for two years in a row has pretty much dominated the top 10 when it comes to our top 100 they are amazing golf balls they’re some of the favorites on the channel and a lot of you guys play them i mean I the the by far the golf ball that gets played the most that I see the most comments on is the Vice lineup whether it’s the Air whether it’s the Pro it did really well in our fan voting last year like you guys love it and so the thing is is that we have new standards that we’re testing with this year we have new clubs we have a new swing speed we’re hitting the data is more organized but also I’m releasing this data at the end of the year and I want to make sure these are on it because again they’re three of the best golf balls you can get so I want to retest them i want to see how the numbers are now real quick I want to make this clear when I tested these last year it was with a faster swing speed it was with different clubs there was a lot of different factors a lot of you no I’m sorry not a lot some of you didn’t quite understand when I retested the Wilson Zip and the Precept Latty the Zip didn’t do as good and some of you were like “Well I don’t understand four years ago you said it was great what you use to test matters right the launch monitor matters the clubs matter i mean I I can test with the best club on the market and then I can test with the worst club on the market but have the same golf ball and get completely different results like that’s why every year I change up the club i change up the testing because you never know that’s why I do it so I just want to keep that in mind i’m not saying these are going to test bad but I just want to make sure you understand they’re not going to be the same like don’t don’t get in the comments after this video and go “Well last year it launched high and now it launched mid what’s going on?” I have different clubs please stop anyway let’s get into this let’s start with price point so Vice has an incredible direct to consumer price point even though they’re not really direct to consumer anymore i mean they’re available in retail stores but they come at $39.99 a dozen for a three-piece urethane or a fourpiece urethane depending on if you get the uh Pro Plus or not but what I love about these golf balls is you know if you buy them in bulk from Vice you can get them as low as $32.99 a dozen if you buy five or more and if you get three dozen you can even get them I think for like $35.99 a dozen so there’s always discounts available they run all kinds of sales they just got done actually with like buy four dozen get one for free or something like that i They’re always doing really great sales like that and so the value just adds up i have a bunch of friends who just when those sales go live they’ll buy 15 20 boxes and they’ll just be done for a few years like it’s common you know especially when you get that type of value it’s insane all three of these golf balls come at that price point whether it’s the Pro Air the Pro or the Pro Plus they’re all the same there so it makes it really easy let’s dive into the design now now Vice in the past what I really have always loved about them is they do have a fresh modern design they’re what really pioneered a lot of these you know uh limited editions that you see now like Tailor Made does these and I mean they they were the first to really put you know this drip on the golf ball you know when they were doing this back in 2020 and 2019 the majority of outlets still were like “It won’t work.” Like you know no one wants to see that everyone wants to see a nice white ball you know people were still kind of getting used to the idea of a yellow ball let alone with drip or purple or black or gold or any of these colors that Vice was doing but here we are 5 years later and they kind of you know they’re kind of the ball when it comes to personality they really are now in the past I’ve always said that Vice had a near-perfect design and the reason I said that is is because I love their logo this is what their logo looks like um it it has that beautiful cursive i love how the V goes into the E it’s just iconic for me at this point um every golf ball looks like that then if you come around on the side this is what they’re now doing with their alignment tool if you’re wanting to know if you have a new 2024 version of this golf ball or if it’s a previous generation the previous generations do not have the points at the end you see these points here how they happen there like on the alignment tool that’s how you know that it’s a the newest model that’s how you can tell cuz some people I know still play the old model and they don’t even know so that’s how you can tell there but I want to touch also on all these different design options so like this right here is your drip this is what made Vice you know really on the map when it came to their designs different colors as you can see there there’s blue and white and green and white and red and all that stuff then you have in the Pro Plus line you have the shade check out the shade here this is just gorgeous it’s one of my favorite golf balls i absolutely love that easy to see on the course they come out with limited editions like this was their Galaxy they just did this is a previous one with Greg Mike that they did lot of personality there and look if it’s not for you I understand but here’s the thing you can get just a plain white ball you can get the plain green ball if you want a high viz color but if you have a little personality like me and you want to be really wild and out there they offer that the reason I said they had a nearperfect design but it wasn’t perfect was because they never had an alignment tool that I legit was like “Hey that that’s a great alignment tool 360 or a big line you know this little line right here i just never got it done and so I was like “Hey nine out of 10 but still really good.” This is the new vice uh design for this year this is the alignment tool they offer and as you can see it’s again unique not a lot of golf balls are doing this type of alignment tool they offer it in the Air the Pro and the Pro Plus and now I am confident to say that Vice has the perfect design they really do i mean what else could you want from a golf ball all right let’s get out to the chipping and putting green and let’s see how we do around there wow I love it so much rotation on the ball a really nice soft subdued feel uh it’s not real clicky it’s definitely a dead sounding there’s no sound off of it but what I love is is that it had a lot of spring to it for sure i definitely I knew from experience from last time to take a little off oh I put too much great spin but again it you don’t have to come back as far with this one it has a lot of bouncy ball oh beautiful oh my goodness so much great bass effect i love it there’s some good rotation on that ball really healthy m so easy to hit okay now that one had a firm roll out i must have mis hit that one just slightly because it didn’t have as good but that’s still really good all right let’s try some left spin no actually really Oh how about that um yeah so no left spin which I’m glad cuz it actually forgave me and went to the hole so let’s try a nasty cut and see if there’s any right spin no actually pretty straight i mean really decent healthy checkup but no left or right spin yeah I expect the Pro to be just a tad clickier and have a little more spin nice oh okay it kind of rolled out a little bit i thought that was a clean hit yeah boy a little hot but kind of a a firm roll out i’m trying to get one to get some bite there we go oh my goodness okay when you hit it clean that’s some I mean that golf ball was doing all kinds of strange that’s beautiful okay let me try some left spin here yeah oh yeah oh my goodness yes okay pretty straight for the most part but a decent amount of checkup you know I I liked the consistency of the air a little bit better i mean this one has potential to really grip but it feels like everything has to align perfectly for it to do so so we’ll check on that nice low very nice decent checkup for sure okay nice soft touch i like that h interesting all right let’s try to get some left spin yep of course yep absolutely good bite so a little bit interesting i They’re really consistent what I mean by that is that none of them have really more spin than the other uh the Pro has more potential for spin but only if you just absolutely pure it and everything’s 100% right but when it comes to greenside checkup all of these are around like the 45 50% and you know they all just roll out really firm it’s kind of the same thing I ran into with the Prov V1 series this year is that there wasn’t a lot of checkup and there was a nice firm release which is kind of good i mean I think a lot of golfers need that but I don’t know i just really thought there would be some differences i thought the Air wouldn’t check up as much i thought the Pro would check up a little more than the Pro Plus I thought was going to spin like a maniac not the case they’re basically all the same all right so I’m hoping for the same consistency here we have our mallet putter our very thick heavy mallet putter i’m hoping I get the same consistency here because with the putter that would actually be really nice beautiful yeah i mean I missed the putt but really soft um almost dead feeling there was a tiny tiny little click almost no feedback oh just so soft very buttery nice uh there’s a little bit of chug effect the roll’s not perfect it’s darn close though i would definitely call it a nine out of 10 on the true roll it’s very very nice there’s some really good distance control here oh man now that is a soft kiss i love that that is really good the feedback the feel just a nice slight firm press with a crispy feel meaning you hear that crispy sound that’s nice yeah that’s good i love that boy I’m really like the roll isn’t like perfect perfect but I think I’m still going to give it the 10 out of 10 because it’s so close it’s like a nine and a half i mean it’s it’s really that good and it’s so consistent i love everything about it just putting it oh yeah little bit of chug there but still i mean yeah that’s that’s really good that’s a slight improvement over the last one oh that’s nice comes off a little hot actually little tiny bit of chug there just because of how hot it comes off the putter i mis hit it but boy it forgave me a lot wow that was a bad hit but it really forgave me i got to run that back that’s smooth that is smooth like a cold beer on a nice hot summer day after you get done mowing the lawn gosh I love that all right now we have our traditional blade putter so this is going to have a little more sound and feedback oh that’s just as smooth as can be wow yeah just beautiful so this one kind of feels like how the Pro did with the mallet and that happens a lot of the time because now you know the club is a lot skinnier there’s not as much you know weight and heaviness and so what happens is you end up hearing the sound a lot more you end up feeling the feedback a lot more and now it kind of feels like how the Pro does with the mallet so I love it 10 out of 10 perfect i mean that’s great uh that’s that’s if you have a blade putter the Air actually has a really prolevel type feel to it so that’s great now I’m interested to see how the Pro does oh yeah soft and buttery that little kiss I like so much i even mis hit that and it still did really well distance control is great i haven’t had any issues there all right so Pro Plus let’s just keep it going this has been a really great putting performance okay I mis hit that one i definitely heard it and felt it that’s loud and firm and clicky but that was because of a mishad so let me now try to get a pure strike here h I got to run that back i wasn’t impressed i just saw a little bit of inconsistency and I just want to validate the parking here and make sure yeah so not bad um it’s definitely now feeling a little heavier and a little firmer and just a tad more clickier um I’d call it a nine out of 10 roll feel i’m not super big on i think it’s just because of how heavier and firmer it is you got the four layers and then also now you have this really skinny you know putter um not I mean it’s not bad it’s just I’m that that’s my least favorite of the three when it comes to it but the other two are just crispy gold like those nice fries you get you know back in the day when you were a kid you know and they came fresh out of the fryer oh my goodness [Music] so as you can tell from the sound there’s really nothing noteworthy now the Pro Plus does have a little bit more of a click but it’s it’s very minimal in the grand spectrum of things now when it comes to the feel off wedges you know all the golf balls were very squishy and responsive but again that Pro Plus is the standout uh it does have a little bit firmer of a feel but it’s still really good then when we get into pitching wedge and 7 iron you know again you have a really soft more squishier type feel from both the Pro and the Pro Air with the Pro Air being exaggerated and the Pro being a little bit more medium but then once you get into that Pro Plus it really is you know a firmer golf ball it’s not super firm by any means definitely not traditional it’s more of a modern firm but you can definitely tell it’s four layers once you get to the driver the Air starts to feel like it’s a little overcompressed like it’s maybe a little too squishy but then the Pro and the Pro Plus are really big standouts here they have a nice crisp feel and just explode off the club face all right let’s talk some data numbers let’s dive right in we’re going to start with the 50ard pitch back spin and looking at these three golf balls we have 7,716 with the air which is a little below average but still respectable going to hold the green 7,943 with the Pro which is actually really good um it’s average but still that’s got a lot of stopping power these are really sticky 7,572 with the Pro Plus which is a little disappointing but you know what i’ve noticed something this year a lot of these Pro Balls Prov1 Vice Pro Plus a lot of them I’ve noticed have had a really low penetrating flight when it comes to my 50-yard pitch and I’ve seen a lower spin rate you know I think Prov1 was at 7600 or 7700 this one’s at 75 i’ve seen that it’s becoming kind of common with different golf balls that are like that so I I it’s not my cup of tea it’s not how I want my golf ball to launch i don’t mind having a mid or high launch and having a little bit of rip back i need it as an average player but I’ve noticed a lot of advanced golfers really want low wedge shots and you know they’re willing to sacrifice a few hundred RPM of spin to make sure they get that penetrating if that’s you that works out great i wish it had been a little higher but still not bad all these are respectable they’re a little below average but they they still will hold the green just fine getting into the pitching wedge now looking at uh the air as you can see amazing distance there and ball speed is just through the roof 98.5 is awesome um I’ve always loved the Air for that because it has a lot of bouncy ball to it and really explodes off the club 96.9 with the Pro which is above average which is really good again and then 95.3 which is average uh with the Pro Plus but that’s common for four piece firmer golf balls because uh you know when you get to the pitching wedge I’m only swinging at 78 mph it’s just not compressing it very well so the fact that it was still average is perfectly fine by me the distances are all average uh let’s look at the launch angles we got 23.8 23 and 23.7 so all those are pretty close i don’t really see a major difference in the launch angle there uh really what that tells me is the Pro Air being nice and soft and squishy it was really compressing well with the wedge because I’m not swinging it very fast and as you can see even though that spin number was a little lower I got what is it 5 yards further yeah 5 yards further than my average so I’m okay with that getting into the seven iron we’re looking at uh when it comes to the distances we’re looking at above average above average and the Pro Plus was a little below average we’ll talk on that in just a second uh looking at your ball speeds 116 116.1 which both of those are almost above average but they’re just actually just right on that line with average and then spin- wise I mean I was really surprised with the Air being as low spin as it is um I’m grateful I got the extra distance but man 5,000’s really not enough to hold a green and then the Pro also the Pro acts like a distance golf ball it really does 5129 and then the Pro Plus actually even though I lost a little bit of distance I got great spin so okay so interesting enough um there there’s a couple takeaways there one I’m a little disappointed in the low low spin of the air now robotic tests have shown that the Air has really low spin i didn’t have that last year uh but different clubs now this year I experienced it and so yeah really low there that’s getting to the point where it almost won’t hold a green with a seven i’d have to hit a fade or something which I’m not good at that’s not my bag not my cup of tea it’s draw or die for me baby uh but the Pro is interesting because of the low spin it’s acting like a dis distance golf ball which a lot of these have it kind of reminds me of the Prov1 like I tested the Prov1 a couple weeks ago and like the Prov1 had 5200 this has 5150 the distance numbers are almost the same like I see a lot of imitation there and that’s not a bad thing but it’s just I think that’s why a lot of you really like it because looking at the launch angles looking at the spin numbers looking at the distance it is really neck andneck with the Prov1 like I want to put these up real quick and just show you this is a comparison of what I got and as you can see it’s actually really really close and I I think that’s why so many of you who switch are really happy that you switched because the price you know you’re saving half the money but you’re getting a ball that performs really really close now me personally I don’t need a distance golf ball i need help with spin i need a higher launch so the Pro doesn’t exactly work as well for me anymore especially with these clubs um I almost would rather have that Pro Plus because it has a lot more spin even though I lose a couple yards of distance that spin number helps me and I’d rather have it i can make the adjustment with the distance then we get into the driver and we are looking at as you can see we’ll just do the total distance there all three of these golf balls are above average i mean period when it comes to um the air it’s just slightly three yards less than the other two it’s great then we And actually the air I did swing a little fast on that as you can see from the swing speed so that’s my fault so you know it’s still above average but it’s definitely not as good as the other two when we look at ball speed you know 145.2 144.5 those are excellent ball speed numbers 5 m an hour and 4 mph respectively above my averages spin numbers are great they’re mid but they’re still they keep it really low which is nice um you know Smash Factor great with both of those and then launch is all pretty much the same uh distance-wise you know top five top I mean top 10 for sure but top five I think with the distance there that’s really really great uh you know I love that and you know I I got to say this about the Pro Plus now the Pro is incredible off the driver it really is i mean you hit it right it’s phenomenal you misit it it’s good you know you mis hit it it’s still good the Pro Plus on the other hand this thing’s a rocket launcher i mean it’s stri I mean I I can’t recall the last time I put a ball down and had so much fun with the driver seriously i mean just hitting these golf balls it felt so great when you hit the center it just felt like you had so much power and even when I mish hit it it was like I lost 10 yards i’d hit it off the toe and I’d go “Oh man.” I’m like “That was bad.” you know 233 yards and I’m like what and I’m like you got to be kidding like when it comes to driver performance I mentioned it last year a lot that Pro Plus is the real deal if I’m playing a long championship course that Pro Plus might be the go-to it really might just because the extra help I get off the T- box would be invaluable it really would let’s get into some accuracy and dispersion now starting with the Vice Pro Air now looking at this when it comes to accuracy with the 50 yard pitch uh it’s good uh not great not fantastic but it’s good everything’s right on that line there’s definitely a lot of distance dispersion there i was hoping with it being softer I’d get a little more forgiveness but not the case but then let’s talk about the pitching wedge and let’s talk about the absolute I have to zoom in on this like if the hole was right there in the center I would probably be making five out of nine of those birdies like that’s that’s incredible i that’s probably the best pitching wedge circle I’ve seen so far this year i love it then we get into the seven iron and that’s okay you know i mean it’s kind of all over the place i had one pull that was my fault the rest of them are just kind of all over the place you know some are long some are short some are in the middle some are a little left some are a little right um it’s like a three out of five there with the seven iron but it gets the job done but I wish it had been a little tighter again softer golf balls usually are a little tighter then we get into the driver just take a look at that at we have one big pull that’s my fault and just kind of let that soak in for a second all right and then um this occasionally happens it happened with the Kirkland this year um I understand I’m not the greatest off the T- box but I have made serious improvements with my driver swing this year and even though I’m not the best I’ve gotten it pretty good i think if you’ve been watching my reviews you’ve seen a definite smaller tighter dispersion when it comes to the driver this one was all over the place and the reason for it is I couldn’t believe how much side spin this golf ball has i mean for a golf ball that doesn’t have a lot of backspin for a golf ball that really you know sometimes is questionable about holding the greens i mean I would close the face a little and it was a duck hook i mean a straight duck hook you leave the face a little open it was a slice it was not a fade it was a slice i never slice a golf ball like I that’s that’s almost impossible if I go out to a course and try to put a slice it’s a draw i’m telling you it’s draw or die with me i was really surprised at how unforgiving it was off the tea and that’s kind of surprising for me because again this is a golf ball that I do love and I’ve played with and it’s an excellent golf ball but it a couple things are starting to add up for my oncourse testing for sure now getting into the pro as you can see accuracy is a little bit of an issue there i did kind of go left and right a little it’s not terrible by any means um I do like the distance you know consistency that’s great but you know accuracy eh could have been a little better then we get into the pitching wedge and once again really good there’s one push from me and then if you take the other nine out of 10 I mean you’re looking at like nine birdie opportunities and I might be making four or five of them you never know i love that so so far pitching wedge has been phenomenal with Vice then we get into seven again and unfortunately it’s just kind of all over the place you know i mean you mis hit it a little and it does punish you uh I wish there had been a little more forgiveness but I guess it is what it is it’s kind of I mean I guess my problem is it’s just all over the place i can’t really get a sense of where it’s going i mean some of them are pull lefts which is my fault but then some of them are long some of them are short some of them are mid there’s left and right and middle and far right and far left and I mean it’s just like it gives you everything you know i mean it’s like have it your way it’s the whole spectrum and I just uh Anyway um then getting into the driver now look driver initially looks like it’s really long but if you take out the far right push which I obviously might have put a little slice on and you take out the far left pull which I obviously had a little bit of a hook on the other eight out of 10 are just great i mean right down the center of the fairway I will gladly take that every day of the week twice on Sunday you know having eight out of 10 that it’s right in the center of the fairway is great in my book so um overall there’s a little to be desired there it’s definitely more of an advanced golf ball i think that that’s why I’ve been running into trouble playing it lately because you know with advanced golf balls you have to be a really really good ball striker really pure being a good ball striker like I am doesn’t cut it you got to be really on you know on it on your on your game um but could I get away with this yes do I play this golf ball a lot yes but I’ve seen some tighter dispersion this year and it’s got me at least questioning right i still love it but it’s it’s got me at least thinking right which that’s fine then we get into the Vice Pro Plus and boy I’ll tell you what that’s why I fell in love with the Vice Pro Plus so much from the beginning uh because this is the best dispersion I’ve seen again pitching wedge i don’t know what’s up with the pitching wedge but Vice just has a formula somehow of of what this pitching wedge is supposed to be it’s been incredible then you get into the seven this is actually the best seven I’ve seen of the three i like that a lot you know there’s two pulls there’s two pushes but the other ones are right on so I I don’t mind that at all but then look at the driver i mean seriously I mean the driver is just absolutely incredible you take away one minor pull which that minor pool is still in the fairway by the way everything in there that’s 10 out of 10 in the fairway that’s Yeah i mean that’s awesome and you know that’s interesting because again usually with a fourpiece golf ball I experience a lot of left and right unforgiveness that’s the case nine times out of 10 this is the exception to the rule this was really fun and remember I just mentioned at the end of the driver test how fun and easy it was to hit with the driver that’s why I fell in love with it in the first place and I I don’t know a lot of you might remember the story I told i was working at Cabin i was playing against a match with one of my co-workers we were tied in match play and on the eighth hole I got a Vice Pro Plus i put it down and I caught the screw baby i know they don’t make screws anymore but it’s just an old phrase for you old guys um caught the screw i must have drove it 270 280 which for me is nuts there were people watching us at the time they were like going nuts they were like you know we had co-workers that were there watching it was It was a really cool moment in my life but the reason I bring it up is because it’s a game changer it’s an X-factor like you hit a drive like that and now all of a sudden I was like 30 yards out pitching into the green my opponent ended up kind of ducking his a little bit he’s 180 out it’s a huge difference i mean huge difference and now all of a sudden I ended up winning the match because of it and so the Vice Pro Plus is really the king there and I gave it up at the end of last year because I thought maybe I need a little more forgiveness maybe I need What a dumb move what a dumb move by me that that’s Yeah that’s the real deal might have been a little premature on that rant i apologize we still have durability to do but um let’s go ahead and touch on that so let’s start with the Vice Pro Air looking at this one it actually looks pretty good throughout i’m looking and scanning for any like major abrasions there’s a couple minor ones i mean but that’s still really good nothing that I can feel i don’t think the golf ball would be affected by putting at all wow just really good it’s just that one spot you know and I don’t even feel it i I I have no problem calling that a 9 out of 10 that’s really good that’s going to last you a full round maybe even a little more if you’re someone who doesn’t you know bang it up a lot it could even last you a round and a half so I love that nine out of 10 is definitely an appropriate score getting into the Pro now now the Pro has always done really well and it’s no different here now the Drip is going to hide blemishes so what I’m going to do is really feel with my thumb and try to feel abrasions now this thing feels like a baby’s bottom it always does i think every Vice Pro has been a 10 out of 10 over the years and this one’s no different it’s It’s just perfect if heels like it just came out of the box 10 out of 10 i love it then we get into the Pro Plus looking now on the front here I do see some scrapes and abrasions that looks like from sand so maybe I didn’t clean the ball off properly when I was hitting it um anytime I see those gouges like that that’s what that is but I do see them all over there’s chunks missing from this golf ball throughout um now if I feel them they do feel rough to the touch so I would say you know if you avoid sand I think you’re okay i have no problem calling this an eight out of 10 um it feels great i actually would still believe believe it or not I would still trust this putting because it just doesn’t feel that bad um and I and I’ve seen these before i know that’s from sand i must not have cleaned the golf ball very well on the line yeah I I I would easily call that an 8 out of 10 it could be better than that maybe it was just a small issue maybe I’ll do some further testing i might update the score but for now 8 out of 10 seems good and that that seems to be vice at its worst is an 8 out of 10 which is still phenomenal so who are these golf balls for okay so we have three golf balls that all are well above average they’re all priced great they’re all you know a fantastic design they putt well they chip well i mean they Vice has been working on this for years and they’re great at it they’re really great and they’re some of my favorite golf balls so who is the Vice Pro Air for well I think the Vice Pro Air is going to be for someone who loves a nice soft squishy feel um you don’t necessarily need a ton of spin if you’re someone who spins the ball a lot normally this is perfect for you because you’re going to get a lot of extra pop off the club you’re going to gain some distance and what I really love is that you’re going to lower that spin a little bit now if you’re someone who needs more spin be careful because this golf ball doesn’t have a lot of mid-ir spin and even though with a pitching wedge it still will hold the green it has some of the lower end spectrum of spin so you know with a 50-yard pitch it’s fine but with those other clubs you know whether it be the short ones the mid ones um you just got to be wary of that but if you fit that mold that I just described it’s an amazing golf ball at an amazing value and once you try it you probably won’t play anything else now the Pro is interesting and I ran into this issue last year as well if you’ll remember but the Pro and the Pro Plus the problem I ran into is that the Pro was a great golf ball but the Pro Plus ended up being so good that it just kind of overshadowed it and so when it comes to the Pro I would say the Pro is going to be for someone who is really used to a Prov1 like really used to it they love the flight they love the spin they love the reaction they love the feel they love all that but they’re looking for a cheaper alternative you’re tired of paying $60 a dozen and you want something that’s as close as you’re going to get cuz let’s be honest nothing’s going to match it exactly but you want something that’s going to be as close as you can get to it that acts like it flies like it is trying to imitate it that’s what the Pro is all about and you get it for a really good deal and you can add some personality in there you can you can play the Galaxy or you want or you can play the regular if you want it’s up to you or you get the Drip or whatever offers you options saves you money that’s the way to go the Vice Pro Plus listen if you’re looking for a golf ball that has adequate spin holds the greens low penetrating flight I think it’s still for an advanced golfer not super advanced i would say even like a 10 handicap I think you’re good i think 10 handicap and lower you’re good anything above that though I would probably play maybe like a Vice Tour or a Vice uh you know I got the juniors coming up that I’m going to try we’ll see how those turn out maybe the vice you know but the problem is is that this golf ball does still bend left and right it still does punish you on mish hits a little bit and so I do think that even when I was playing it there was a couple shots I had to eliminate when I did my 15 or 20 and then narrow it down to 10 there was a couple I was looking at going “Oh okay yeah that one definitely definitely punished me a little bit.” So I think it fits into that mold but my goodness the Pro Plus is just I I’d forgotten how great it was and especially with the driver you know obviously with the short clubs because it’s a fourpiece and it’s firmer if you’re a 95 or above 95 to 100 you’re not going to notice anything eyepopping with your short wedges or maybe even your mid irons but once you get into the three-wood once you get into you know your your four iron or five iron once you get into the driver you’re going to start seeing some really eye popping stuff that’s going to be a game changer and in fact the Vice Pro Plus ends up even on uh My Golf Spicey’s top five of their longest golf balls every year i’m pretty sure it’s been three or four years in a row now where the Pro Plus has ended up top five in distance so it’s it’s just a rocket launcher and I I love it i love the dispersion and everything so that would be my recommendation these are still all really great golf balls they’re all going to end up in the top 20 most likely you know we’ll see uh but there’s a lot of stiff competition this year so you never know but as always keep watching keep saving keep learning until next time

Snell.
Are they all a 3 piece golf ball?
I saw that Vice has Junior golf balls. Just curious if you'd ever review those, so viewers know how well they are for their younger golfers?
That opening should be you teeing off then some random guy. Lol great video and test on these balls. I always look forward to these. Have a great day
Great review as usual
Another great video Nick. I recently gave the "Air" a try and it did nothing to trip my trigger. Just seemed like a run of the mill ball for me.
I found a pro plus a few years ago and noticed how awesome it was off the Tee. It is long and straight. I ordered several dozen of the orange and yellow two tone golf balls and they are very visible. They are very easy to spot when you hit them in the dessert. My biggest problem with them is when it gets cold hey punish you on miss hits. I have also experienced a little paint pealing now and then. How does the new alignment tool stand up against the Taylor made Tour Edge?
The distance performances align with what i expect given your swing speeds. At your pitching wedge swing speed, the compression of the Pro Air (lowest) will give you the most carry and the Pro Plus (highest) will give you the least. Then you start getting that swing speed up with the driver and notice how your higher compression ball starts to take over. At your driver head speed the Pro is still at a comfortable compression to compete so thats definitely your sweet spot for swing speed. As far as spin goes, user error will always takes over So thats subjective to the user. Great videos keep them coming.
Very interesting when you were chipping i was thinking the exact same they were checking a little then releasing just like your pro v review
I’ve only recently discovered your channel & I’m really enjoying your very informative content.
Can you please elaborate on exactly what you mean when you refer to a balls spin rate as a percentage.
I’m assuming (dangerous I know) it’s just your way of quantifying the balls greenside spin rate.
Keep up the great work.
I was a Pro Air player and still have a few dozen left. My local course is a goat path and easy to lose a ball even on a good shot. I picked up the new Maxfli Softfli to save a little money. To be honest the new Softfli performs so well and is so much cheaper I am switching. With the combo deal they are $15 a dozen. The performance isn’t that much better with the Air (for my game at least) to justify the additional cost. The Air does hold the green a little better, but again not enough to justify the cost to me.
For each of your tests, is it worth it to document where the balls are made? I’ve read that some manufacturing plants are more consistent than others?
Great review of the Vice line. Made my day getting notified of the new eposide after leaving the course today. Love the channel. Would ever consider doing a Wilson Tiad, Wilson Staff model, and Wilson Staff model X review.
Looks like the same route Volvik took 7-8 years ago. We all know where that led
Love the shade balls as I'm blind as hell and they look cool in the air lol
When I think of high level performance I can depend on shot after shot I think of Vice 😂
To pick the ball that would suit and enhance your game, you would need to sample all of them, in my opinion. From the start of the video, I thought the Air would be for me. As the video went on, my opinion changed. All are great golf balls, deciding which one is for you is the problem.
I still like to try different balls here and there, but I keep coming back to the Vice Pro Plus. It’s awesome and and an absolute weapon with the driver.
Have you ever done a review where you tell us the best options for golf balls at Walmart. I know the boost is there
These are just fun popular golf balls. I'm betting the people at the Vice Factory have a ton of fun designing these.
"… Hey boss is it ok if we…."
"Yes. Just yes."
Love this content man, keep it up!!
can you do a show for seniors, 80-90 swing speed with driver, 60-70 with irons but still need control and distance
i use vice pro soft right now chrome soft works well for me also
I've played the Vice brand for several years. I get as much distance from them as I do the Pro v. For the price you can't beat these balls. I have some of the crazy designs.
Don't feel bad about dispersion. Even robots 🤖 miss a fairway hitting a driver which shocks me tbh…😅😅😅😅😅
The yellow/orange Pro Plus is my favorite golf ball of all time.
Thank you for your reviews, look forward to your videos!
Dude you are Famous PXG mentions you in their new golf ball commercial on the Golf Channel! Congratulations! I hope you get some royalties 😅
Great review!
Would you say the forgiveness of the Air is down from the previous model?
Thanks!
The Air fits my handicap and swing speed perfectly, only issue I had was a lot of curvature with the driver. That’s why I switched to the new Triad — much straighter for me off the tee. I tried the Tour Response too, but the chipping & putting still felt better with the Triad.
Have been playing Vice Pro for 3-4 years now, love them. Nice review!
I’m not even zesty and I love Vice!
Did you do a how far will it go?! Need to see if Wilson boost is dethroned
I like the triple review, all the Vice balls have something to offer for all levels!
