the Ladies European Tour in Hamburg just south of the city at the Green Eagle Golf Course is on the North Course for the very first time on the Ladies European Tour and a good strong German contingent going well including Leoni Harm rolling in a beauty there at 17 on her way to a 72 that’s one under par the green monster this golf course is known as the conditions were pretty kind to the players on day one the defending champion Alexander Ferling suffering with back and toe issues but still managing to get it round in 71 a couple under that score matched by the highest ranked player in the field Esther Hensenite who’s from the region couple under so solid foundation for her to make a push for the title the rest of the week bronty Law arrives on the back of a top 10 finish on the LPGA tour and her confident form continued here 696 birdies in her round of four under par and that score matched by another English player Hannah Screen how about this birdie at eight She’s a player in good form three successive top 10s coming into the week so couple of players at four under par five under leading the way and a brilliant back nine from the Swede Eleanor Sudor player struggled in the two years she’s been on tour so far but that back nine helping her to a round of 68 big hitting talented rookie from New Zealand Amelia Garvey showing her talents here at the par 38 she’d make that part and get to six under a drop shot at the last another one in with a 68 top place German is Helen Bream who’s finished in the top five in her last three starts she’s fifth on the order of merit and she’s another at the top of the leaderboard after a five under par first round and completing the quartet at the top is Alice Houston here she is getting up and down at the last for a bogey free round not had the start to 2025 she has been looking for but a terrific start to this Amundi German Masters patrice Makova of the Czech Republic another in that group of minus four
