today I’m at the golf course to shoot some videos on the rules of golf so first of all I want to say a massive thank you to Hickleton Golf Club not only if allowing me to film but also for these fantastic views that you’re going to see this rule is one that a lot of people break without even realizing it and it’s about what you’re allowed to do in terms of working out what club to use second hole here at Hickleton is a par three down the hill i’ve just lasered it it’s playing at 155 on a flat line but if I got the slope on my uh device I could also tell you that it’s probably playing 10 yards downhill the problem with that is that in competition I’m not allowed to use the slope facility on my laser i’m also not allowed to ask one of my playing partners what club they’ve just hit i’m allowed to have a sneaky look in their bag if I can see but I’m not allowed to rumage around but if I happen to lean over and see that they’ve used a seven or an 18 then that’s fine but I’m not allowed to ask directly what club did you just hit there otherwise I would incur a penalty
