  1. Thanks for always posting great content. I trust your word far more than others and appreciate your honesty.

  2. That Ai smoke paradym didnt break the bank! Maybe callaway has/had too many diffrent irons. Now its Apex and others ..is it easier to figure out? Dont know!

  3. I like your pre-swing routine for the backswing, do you show this anywhere? I’d like to see if it’ll help me with swinging over the top

  4. My beginner irons lasted almost 20 years, I just ordered wilson dynapower forged irons, tons more loft, spin, and distance, and a fantastic sound. I can't wait to have clubs that don't sound like I hit the club with a water bottle. Oh and those direct to consumer clubs like Tacomo and Vice were incredibly disappointing. So glad I got to try them first so I knew to avoid them.

  5. I am glad you mentioned how an individual attacks the golf ball and their other parameters these allow them to enjoy golf. I do wish more people would just play what works and have fun. I am a single digit golfer who plays players distance irons but can stop a pinnacle on a green if needed. The lofts help me mitigate spin better. Have a great one.

  6. The name is repulsive. Putting "ai" on an inanimate object is peak marketing cheese. Won't touch them with a 10ft 9 iron.

  7. I got the ai smoke irons ( reg ) and oh my what an improvement. I was using the 2017 m2 irons and the smokes gave me about 30 more yards for each club. I switched to a stiff shaft as well, and wow. 6 iron used to hit 165-170 now I’m hitting 190-210. I don’t think I’ll be selling these clubs anytime soon. I was hitting around a 87-92 on a par 70-72 course local course. These clubs I’ve already improved majorly with no relying on my driver as much.
Now I went from a 5 – SW set up. I bought the 6 – AW and had an extra 56 laying around that I liked I’m using. Considering a 5 iron and 4 iron to replace my 5 wood and most 3 wood shots. Or a GW for the 80-100 yard range since my AW which used to hit 80 I now hit 110-120

  8. All very interesting however with the increase of counterfeit clubs on the market and the difficulty to spot fakes without a side by side comparison I would always be leery about buying from anywhere other than the manufacturer or an authorized dealer.

  9. It’s the Indian not the arrow. Sure some clubs are better than others, but a decent golfer can hit a good shot with any clubs.

  10. Hey Simon, can you compare Callaway Iron X Forged 2007 model to the current Miura TC-201 Custom Irons? Years apart, yet look similar. Would they perform the same – feel, carry, spin etc? I bet they do.

  11. In exactly this predicament 😂
At least I bought my pings used…

Looking for something a step or two higher. Hit a few of the expensive forged clubs, they feel nice. Maybe something like the takomo 201 is more my speed. Or something used in that price range.
Don’t need distance at all, half my irons go unused at the courses I play.

  12. My dad bought a set of AI Smoke HL iron from Callaway preowned for a little over $400. When he received them they still had the plastic on the heads and grips.

  13. it’s all down to swing mechanics ie HL, strong lofted and forgiving clubs are for majority of over the top swing path golfers it gets em into golf and suitable as you say for a few years and gets them enjoying the game but if your a golfer committed to development of your game it’s advisable to spend money on lessons to develop a better swing technique dropping club on inside on downswing and swinging in to out …. this promotes a higher launch required on approaches green to stop the ball particularly when they are firm. Must admit it’s only something I’ve only recently realised having struggled with my T100 irons for a few years but things are improving a bit now. Good video 👍

  14. When your delofted irons mean you carry 11 clubs that all hit 200-240 yards and a couple wedges for inside 100. 100-200…. Good luck.
