Scratch Duo Takes On Top 100 Surrey Golf Course
Hi guys and welcome back to another video. Today we are at the beautiful Campbell Heath Golf Club top 100 golf course in Surrey and we’re going to be doing a betterable nine holes on my channel back on Jack’s channel. Let’s see what we can shoot. Let’s aim for We haven’t even thought about target. What should we front nine? Let’s go for two one under. I’m off scratch. I think if we go two under overall and it doesn’t seem like much, but Jack’s never played it before. Nope. I haven’t played for a while and I’m going through some big swing changes. So, anything under par, but let’s aim for one underp. And uh if you haven’t already followed Jack, go down below. I’ll link his channel in the description. Give him a follow. His aim is to try and get to thousand subscribers by the end of the year. And I think he can do that. But you guys need to help him out. Anyway, catch you on the first in a sec. Good draw. Right. Really good drive there. It’s pitched here and ended up just here. Got 114 to the pin. Really trying to commit to the new swing feeling. If you haven’t already seen the video, I’ll link in the top right of the video. But really trying to feel like they’re dragging lag. So going with a knock down gap wedge here. Trying to commit to this new swing feel. Needs to go. Yeah. Right. That was not a good second shot. Should have just hit a full gap wedge. It was into wind on an uphill slope. Bad decision. Got a tricky chip now with a 55. Try and pitch it just on the top there. Run out a little bit more than I thought, but I’ll take that. Second hole at Cambi is 128 yds. Playing 122 uphill. We’re about 130 132 and hit a nice little pitching wedge left side and hopefully fade it in and get some cut spin. Right. Going with pitching wedge here. Try and hit it past the pin and bring it back. Hit this. Good. I mean, I thinned it, but that’s going to be fine. Jesus. Right. Good. Bad one from the tea. Probably going to see quite a few of those thin strikes today with the new swing change, but I am happy to embrace that as long as I’m committing to the new feelings. That’s the main thing today. But it’s a chance of birdie going to be coming a little bit off the right. And with Jack’s put there, it looks like it’s going to be quite quick. So, let’s just try and cozy it up there. And if it goes in, then that’s a bonus. Oh, that was weak. I pulled that right at last minute. Got over that. Third hole. Par five. 463 yards. Straight down the old chute there. Aiming at the middle of the heather. In between the heather and the bunk on the right. Trying out a good one. Still at level par. Let’s see if we can birdie this one. Go under. Absolutely lambooned that right. Really good drive there. I actually couldn’t have hit that any better. And I actually decided to go with my new swing feeling and that worked really well. Anyway, it’s gone 278 carry, which is a really good hit for me into wind. Got 205 to the front or to the pin. Playing uphill into wind. Going to try and keep this a little bit left of the pin. I’m trying to hit a good one my hybrid here. Hit it good, but it’s a bit off the bottom. I think that’s going to be short. Well, not the best strike with the second, but I actually missing a really good spot. Was probably playing it nearer to 240, 250. So, not a not the worst shot really, but I’ve got simple chip up the green. The pin is literally just off the back of the green. And the first chip run out a bit. So, I’m going to just try and hit 55 again. Pitch it half on the green and let it run out hopefully. Oh, pitched it a tiny bit too far. Chuck it. Nice. Just ran through the back. What what read you reckon this is? Pretty straight. I’m going to say on the edge. Left. Left edge. Yeah. Okay. That should be my aim is correct. That should be left edge. like that. All I got to do is just roll over that line. Jack’s in for par. Let’s try and hold one. Come on. If I’d hit it, it might have actually gone in. Safe part. Fourth hole. Campbell. Beautiful. 271 yards. It’s drivable, but we’re level par through three. Shame to not make birdie on the last, but I’m gonna hit five line for safety. I think Alex is going to do the same because it doesn’t look very inviting to go for it. Let’s go. Bit of a leaky one. Right, Jack’s leaked is a little bit right, but it should still be fine. Um, I’m actually going to go with a six iron here. It’s only 271, but I’d rather have a fuller shot in. Let’s try and commit to the new swing change. So, just aiming at the right bunker, left side of the right bunker, right where I was aiming. Right, I’ve got 105 to the pin. Got the gap wedge. This is a knockdown gap wedge like the first hole. That that shot there would be perfect. Just going to aim a little bit right at the pin because there is a little slope to the right of it. Hopefully I can put this close. Just commit to the new swing again. Sit. Okay, everyone. Alex has hit a wonderful shot from 105. I’ve got 95. Going to hit a little gap wedge now into this one. Let’s uh let’s get one next to Alex’s would be nice. So, just grip down an inch comm. All right. So, we’ve hit it to sort of 30 foot straight over the flag. We just was a bit long. It’s a tough putt this one, but let’s give Alex a a chance to get free rain in it and try and make the birdie. It was a good part. Bit of a misread. Pulled it a tiny bit. Pitched up here and spam back. Very makeable birdie opportunity. Looks like it’s going to be coming a little bit off the left here. Just try and put a positive stroke on it. Try and get it end over end. That was a much better stroke. End over end. Come on. Good birdie on the last hole. Very happy with that. Takes us to one under as a betable, which is very good. Um, onto the fifth hole. 462 yard par4. That is off of the tempor as well. This is a really tricky par four. So, if we can get a par here, that’d be great. Just aiming at the big tree in the distance, the tallest one. If I can hit it at that, it’ll be perfect. Drop kick towed it, but that should be okay. That looks I think is pretty good. I know it wasn’t the best strike, but let’s uh try and follow that big tree in the distance. Here’s the line. right, got away with the drive there. Um, got 177 to the pin. I think the wind’s slightly down off the right. It’s a bit hard to tell. You can’t really feel it here. Um, going to go with a seven and just try and commit to the swing. Um, it’s got to be a full one. Just at the tree, right of the pin. Oh, and I fatted it. Didn’t time that at all. All right. I for Alex’s uh Alex’s approach. Got a bit heavy with his seven iron. So, I’ve got 150 on the dot. Going to hit nine iron. I think we’re pretty much going to take dead here because there’s no danger at all. So coming in, pulled it. Oh, I just pulled it. It is absolutely gorgeous out here, guys. Hope it comes across as good on camera as it is in person. Um, definitely don’t mind hitting terrible shots like the last when it’s such a nice day and you’re on such a nice golf course. Um, but yeah, wasn’t ideal. Got a tricky little chip shot here. Probably about 40 yards. Jack’s in a good position. So, I can sort of tack this one a bit more. Be pitching this just on the green between the pin and the GU sign and let it roll down there. Ah, just pitched it a bit too far, but I’m happy with the strike. God, Alex hit a phenomenal shot in then from 40 yards to about six foot. I mean, I got one of my favorite shots in golf. this little little rinky dinks hybrid instead of chipping. I just find it so much easier to use. Just needed a bit more. Bit more. Better than my chipping though. Right, me and Jack need one of these to stay one under par. I’ve got about six footer. Jet’s got about a 5 footer, so why not? We both hold it for bar. How about that? Looks like mine’s a little bit off the left if anything. And I pulled it. Hands are just getting too involved. Unlucky, mate. Good part. Was it a little pull? Was it little pull? Well, then this is important then to stay one under. I think it’s just inside, right? I think nice committed stroke. We’ve got some mountains to go through. Ooh la la. Come on. We stays at one. Good par on the last everyone. We are still one under. Six here is again a double drivable one, but it’s not really worth it. So five iron for safety. I think Alex is going to do the same. We’re going to try and make birdie the same way. Bit straight to Jack. Right, Jack has hit a lovely T- shot there. Five iron right up the middle left of the fairway. Um, I was thinking six, but I think five is the one. A bit uphill into wind. Anywhere around Jacks would be perfect, but just right of his at the marker is where I’m aiming. Right, I’ve got 80 yards on the dot, but bit into wind uphill. Probably playing about 90, I’d say, to be safe. It’s a good one to try and attack here. So, I’ve got 55 degree. Just going to hit a smooth one. Commit to new swing. Nice and smooth. Trying to put it close. Did not time that well. Sit. And that’s gone. That one’s in a house. Oh, right. Alex is in a house. So, we got to step up here, everyone. 75 yards. 55 degree. and do chippy one. Don’t know whether that’s long or it’s good. Strike was nice. A lot of spin on that one. All right, I’m going to leave the pin in on this one. Alex is um having a wild exploration on this hole. So, I can’t give this a free run at it. It’s downhill, left to right. Nestle up. It’s a good effort. It’s a safe fall though, isn’t it? Right. Not the best hole from me there, but I think I might have a few of those from what was said to me in the lesson. So, as long as I’m staying committed to the swing changes, then I’ll have to grin and bear it. But it’s good par from Jack on the last, which keeps us at one under. Good ham and egg at the moment. So, onto the seventh. Par four. 3 43 yards. Ideally, you want to hit a bit of a fade over the middle of the bunker here. Just a little five to 10 yard fade would be perfect. Just about there is perfect. Wow. We’re going to have to try and hit a fade, aren’t I? Like you. God, that was a Alex has absolutely spanked it down there. Follow that one then. Jack basically he’s saying down down it’s bouncing on the cart past it. Right. I got 72 yards here. Probably playing about 80. About the same as the last hole. So hopefully we can do a better shot than the last. Going with a log wedge this time. Just try and commit to it. That’s better. Lovely strike. Oh, really there finally gone there to there. All right. All right. It doesn’t look like there’s too much in this. Pretty flat there. Inside right or right edge. It’s like right edge. Like there is good where I’ve got it. It’s got to be right to left. I think where that is is about right. That dove left. It was end over end and I hit it firm. It wasn’t it right. Quick score check. One under through seven. Unfortunately missed birdie there. Good putt but just swung a bit more than we thought. But we are on track. We’ve got two more holes of pot one front nine. Hopefully we can make another birdie. If not, we are on track. Hopefully um at worst we’ll be one under. But yeah, if you haven’t already subscribed, please hit the subscribe button down below. Turn the bells on the bells the bell on to be notified when I post videos. I’m on the course to try and get to 10,000 subscribers by the end of the year. But I do need your help to get there. And also give Jack a follow as well. He is actually going to be consistent this year. Absolutely. Um, but yeah, two miles left and uh hopefully we can get another birdie. Right, Alex unfortunately hit a good part and missed. So, we’re still one under. Oh, my ball’s having a little moment to himself. Stay there. Eight hole here. 196 yards. We’re hitting a draw off that right bunker because we overdraw it. It’s absolutely golden. Come on then. no draw. All right, that’s a little bit high, but I’m going to have to do it off that. Right, Jack is in the right hand bunker, but not a bad miss. I’m going with five iron as well. I’m going basically center of the green between the two hazard golf post would be perfect. Overturned it right. No uh no real margin here. It’s a good miss, but I got a ridge. So, just need to get this out. Right, we’re here down in the bunker. Doesn’t feel like there’s much sand in this. I can try and hit good one night like Jack. Give ourselves a good chance to park. Great. There was more sand than I thought. I actually hit a really good bunker shot. I had no chance of getting close. Coming down a ridge inside right committed stroke. Jack’s made a four. So, we need this for the par little bit off the right and smashed it. Ah, right. We are on to the last hole of part one of the video. Unfortunately, we’ve just dropped a shot. So, we are back to level par. But we are on to a par five. 478 yards straight down there towards the bunker in the middle of the fairway, which is 265, which I’m probably going to go straight in. But if I could try and thread the needle and go left of it, cuz ideally we want a birdie back here. Keep going. Right. It’s a bit off the bottom. Alex uh unexpectedly hit the perfect layup just to the bunker. So, the bunker is actually in reach now we know. So, basically straight and hopefully hit that lovely little draw or a lovely little fade. I’m just right of everything. I kind of have two options. We chip out left here or we go through the shoot. And we’re going through the shoot cuz Alex is perfect. So, he’s got the green light. So, I’m just going to chip a seven iron down there through this gap and back into play. Right, Jack’s had to punch out, but he’s got a good shot in for his sec third. They’re off the green now. So, I got 235, which is really borderline hybrid. I don’t think I can get that there cuz it’s slightly uphill. So, I’m going to have to go with a 3wood a smooth one on a bit of an uphill lie. So, trying a good strike. Oh my gosh. Straight out the hill. Did not feel comfortable there. Wow. I’m in driver seat now. Got to look after a bit of Alex on this one. Got 91 yards to the pin. Bit of a back stop. So fill out 54 goes 98. So we’re just going to play a good one of those and hopefully be the club. I’ve pulled it. I didn’t pull it. It’s perfect. Just didn’t feel comfortable. Should have pulled out of it, but is what it is. Got 62. Not the best miss this at all. Um, but I think I’m going to have to go over this tree. I have got a ridge to play with there on the right or back right of the pin. So, my aim is to just go right at the pin, take it out of the right of this tree, hopefully put it close. It’s a 62. A didn’t quite give it enough. Right, we’ve hit it to about 15 or so foot. Alex, a really good recovery there. So, we’ve got two good opportunities for birdie. I’m coming across the slope, so it’s going to move a lot more than I think. So, I’m just giving it a little bit more. Haven’t held one yet today, which is very unlike me. It’s eluding me today. Little bit off the right there. Uphill, right to left. Come on. That bobble bobble bobbled. That moved a lot, didn’t it? More than mine. Good recovery. Feels better, right? Bit of a disappointing end over the last two holes. Missed the chance there. So, we’ve ended up level par through the front line holes. If you have enjoyed the video, please give a like down below.
