[Music] Hello everybody. This is William Delpar and this is Points on the Board. And like I say for literally every podcast I do, as the great Andrew Breitbar said, politics is downstream of culture. And sports in a way is culture. We talk about sports as part of our daily lives. We’re fans of football, basketball, baseball, hockey, you name it, there’s a fan of it. Even curling. I remember when curling happened at the Olympics. We’re like watching with baited breath. Anything could become exciting in the right environment. And tonight’s episode, once again, we mix sports and politics. And specifically this episode, we are going to be indirectly talking about Colin Kaepernick. We’re not going to mention his name per se as much as his name came up in terms of one of the topics. Shadir Sanders. Shadir Sanders. Shadir Sanders. Who reminds me of that Tom Petty song Free Falling. and then he free fall hard in the fifth round day three pick after the nonsense of him possibly being the overall number one pick. Then we’re going to give you an update on Shannon Sharp and I have to apologize. I still think it’s a scam. she played him. Uh, and maybe he played tried to play ESPN with his lawyer announcing they were negotiating a potential hundred million dollar deal for him to get support from his fans. He’s got a big strong base and and his uh mistress, well, he’s not married, but his young fang, he’s like 56, she’s like 19, you know, played him and uh threw a lawsuit on him and and and there’s an update on it. And the reason I say there’s an update is because some new information transpired when I shot the show last week. It was just going to press. I was giving some initial facts. But I’m like tired of the me too. But there may be truth to this. If anything, even if he is innocent, she’s played him very well if she’s playing him because he has a track record that you can’t escape. So, I think it may be a money play, but he’s no saint in all this because I do believe it was consensual. And then we’re gonna go to the final whistle where I take a look around the world of sports. But I gotta be honest, this episode, this episode is uh uh uh very very very uh filled with uh a lot of politics to go with the sports. Why? It’s a race issue. It’s a race issue and it’s sad but but that’s how life works. And the reason I do this is because as a conservative Latino, my family runs the gamut. We have black, we have white, we have Asian, we have uh Indian uh in terms of Panameanian blood. Uh so we run the gamut. Spaniard uh based off the Hispa the Puerto Ricano in me. So uh I take offense to the tribalism. I’ve seen two dictators. I know how a country can be destroyed from within and that is what’s happening. And they’re using tribalism to do it. Religiously, they’re using the split of Islam and Christianity here. Sharia law does not mix with our constitution. And for some ungodly reason, you fools think it does. Uh the the the for example, the libertarian mindset, they’re okay with everything uh because they can’t look past their nose and understand how a country is destroyed from within. you know, they’re like terrorists bad. Well, there is no free trade right now. So, we’ve got to equalize the the the the the trading back and forth into a more fairer uh uh uh uh tradeoff, for lack of a better word, you know. Uh and I just pick on my friend Big John there because it’s easy to pick on, you know. And what’s even worse is I get anal in my research. So I become well in I in understanding all of this to the details. So I’m a terrible debater. Uh if you’re on the other side and I’m looking forward to eventually have some debates whether on sports, whether on uh politics, on culture, dealing with Hollywood entertainment, movies, all of that. Uh that that is going to come down the pike and I look forward to that. But we’re talking points on the board in sports tonight. And before I get going with the first topic here, uh, let me give you the lowdown. Please bookmark grumblingsmedia.com. grumblingsmedia.com. That’s our website. Uh, we’re a little sparse on the articles. We’ve been focusing on building the the podcast compound and that’s slowly coming along and and and but you can also you’re likely listening to us either on YouTube, Rumble, Apple, Spotify, or Pandora. I suggest Rumble or YouTube only because you can see this. I mean, look at this mug here. Of course, you don’t see the bottom half here. That’s about 20, 30 pounds overweight. But once again, bookmark grumblies media.com. Follow us on YouTube, Rumble, Apple, Spotify, EPA under the handle Grumings Media. And make sure you like and share this podcast. I cannot succeed without it. Uh, I am the podcast king around here, but I need your full-fledged support. So, let’s get down to it, people. Shadir Sanders shocking NFL draft slide. So, let’s unpack the controversy and the criticism. As most of you football fans know, I don’t know how, but he was once projected as a top five pick in the in this past 2025 NFL draft. And and I want to say stunned analysts, but no, there even these analysts were just fanboys. It’s like they want to be liked by Dion. They want Dion to like them. So, they they fall in love with Shadir. And and the fanboys are even worse. And then you have black Twitter and then everything becomes tribalistic. And I’m here to separate all that garbage in terms of what really happened. Because for us to come together as a nation, whether you’re black, white, Latino, whatnot, we need to know the real story here and not what race hustlers want you to believe because hate is such an easy emotion to jin up. So I’m here with the truth. It may be an ugly truth at times, but it’s the truth. I This was actually my domain. And I did I did fantasy sports, but I was also an NFL analyst and I got paid to do that and we did all sports. But uh this was my uh baby was the NFL. So I understand what I’m talking about. I’ve been in the trenches in terms of with reporters, with analysts. Uh I’ve been analysts. So So I am familiar with this. So when he plummeted in the fifth round, eyebrows went up and I was like, “This is a market correction is what we’re seeing here.” And I’m going to get into it why in a few moments here, but uh he was selected 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns. a speculation world around the reasons for this dramatic slide. And it ranged from poor pre-draft interviews to accusations of racism from fanboys or industry race baiters like Ryan Clark with experts and insiders differing from them and offering different perspectives and we’re going to talk about all of that. So, uh, some of the selection details, uh, Sanders was drafted by the Browns again with the 144th overall pick in the fifth round. Uh, obviously a significant drop. There were five quarterbacks that were selected before him. Cam Ward, black quarterback, went number one overall to the Tennessee to replace a failed white quarterback. So much for the racism. It’s destroyed with the very first pick. Jackson Dart uh who is a better prospect. I was talking to a New York Giants uh individual. In fact, my partner Big John who was also in the analysis game. He was just telling me he’s he’s the better pick. you know, uh, his take was Jackson Dart has a stronger arm. It’s windy in that city. It’s not a domed, uh, uh, stadium. So, Dart was by far the better selection there. And we’ve seen uh, good quarterbacks with weak arms struggle. The Miami Dolphins, Tua, I’m not even try the last. Uh, good quarterback, but the problem is his speedy receivers. Some of the faster receivers in the league were always slowing down because he wasn’t strong enough to get the ball to them on the run. Steve Young used to say, “I don’t need to throw deep. I throw 20 yards. That’s my deep ball. I hit Jerry Rice’s stride and they may have said he was slow in the combine, but you hit him in stride. No one’s catching him and no one did catch him.” So when when you have that type of player who’s that accurate, it kind of negates it. Then you have a windy stadium and you need an accurate quarterback and Jackson Dart was a better selection in that sense. and he went number 25 in the first round. Tyler Show was selected by the Saints at number 40 and RG3 came up with a post and said, you know, Tyler Show’s a good quarterback and all, but he’s no shade to your Sanders, you know. And I responded politely. I said, you know, hey, you’re right. Maybe, maybe not. I didn’t say you’re right. I said maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. But when you and Andrew Luck were battling for the top spot, your supporters said the same thing about you. And I said, I’ll leave it at that because we know what happened. Andrew Luck went to uh was on the verge of greatness and chose on his terms to leave the game. And RG3 hung around after too many injuries after not listening to Mike Shanahan after forcing his hand, bullying his way into driving uh Shanahan out and getting fired and his career died. He went dead. too many injuries, became a perennial backup, and I liked him, and I kept hoping he’d regain some of that mojo, but his own undoing was his attitude. But that’s what they said about him. He was much better than Andrew Luck. So, so we don’t know how this is going to turn out. Jaylen Milro was chosen by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round. Now, those are those picks, I don’t have any issues. Now, the Dylan Gabriel drafted by Cleveland at number 94 in the third round. That one had me shaking my head. extremely accurate quarterback, extremely accurate, plays confident, he’s a stud, but the problem is he’s 5’11. You know, Baker Mayfield has thrived, but he’s 61 or 6 foot. I want to say 6 foot. 5’11, six foot. So maybe Dylan Gabriel K. They ran Baker Mayfield out of town on social media. That became tribalistic. They got their guy Watson. Mayfield went and thrived and has taken the Bucks to two playoffs. He took the Browns to their first playoff like in 17 years and they ran him out. What had they gotten out of Watson? Payouts with that guaranteed money to women. Injuries. He’s been a complete bust. So, time will tell with how some of these things turn out. I was never a Deshun Watson fan only because he was too injuryprone with his playing style and I didn’t know if he was committed. I was proven right. Now, I did not think GA but Mayfield would do would go on to do as well as he’s done. Uh but he’s proven me wrong, so you never can tell. I thought he was a good enough quarterback. I didn’t know if he would thrive, but he’s thrived when given the chance. He read the playbook. He’s just not that guy I want in the clutch still. So, he’s still got a lot of room to improve. But regardless, Cleveland Dillis Dylan Gabriel, his size kind of reminded me of Baker Mayfield in that sense. But, you know, I think Shadur uh uh Shadir is uh can compete with him, you know, and we’ll see in spring training camp. So, overall, the 2025 quarterback class was considered weak. All these guys could become bust. There’s been seasons where you’ve seen seven or eight canvas quarterbacks and they all bust. So, the odds of these guys all being bust is higher than not. I’m not saying they will be, but it’s higher than that. So, uh uh so Ward and Dart with only two taking the first round. And as far as the the the racism talk, look, in 2024, Caleb Williams went number one overall to the Bears. In 2023, Bryce Young and CJ Strad went one and two. Those are three quarter black quarterbacks. You know, I think there may be some a mixed with with one or two of them, meaning you know, their parents may have been mixed uh cultures there, but but in essence, they they’re seen as black quarterbacks. So, so the racism call is pure not it’s lying. It’s I don’t have an argument. It’s racism. So, the thing with the NFL, Cam Newton has had issues talked about. He went number one overall because the talent was there. He failed to develop his own talent because he was a big strong uh uh uh uh uh uhh player, big it was like a linebacker. So, he depended too much on his legs, chose not to learn how to become a quarterback. Uh his defense took that team to the Super Bowl, even though he’ll get some credit, but at the end of the day, he was not a franchise setting quarterback. I mean, look at the record of the team. And when I say franchise, a team that perennially takes you to the playoffs that gets you that can get you to the Super Bowl or at least get you close more than once. So, uh uh but he had the talent and and his defense. Uh Rivera, I don’t think Ron Rivera was the greatest coach and I don’t think the offensive coordinators on that team and the quarterback coaches helped Cam develop his own talent. You need somebody strong to put Cam in his place as a head coach to a student, as a mentor to a student. And he was too strong willed and it cost Cam. cost him a lot, not financially, but in his legacy because he wants to be remembered. He knocks a lot of He keeps saying things where you’re like, “Dude, just stop. We know why you’re saying it. We know why you’re doing it. You want to be remembered. Just not going to work.” So, uh, Sanders, you know, he completed 74% of his passes, 4,100 yards, 37 touchdowns, 10 interceptions. You know, he got the John, uh, Johnny Unit golden arm award. Uh, he had the greatest PR agent anybody could have. His father, Dion. He did play along Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, drafted number two overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. I don’t know how good this kid really is. You know, Colorado, I think, is I just I just don’t know, but we’ll find out. The Jaguars gave up a lot to get him. I don’t know if he’ll pan out. The Jaguars have a history of just just not evaluating talent very good, but he would have been a consensus top two or three pick. Number one, if uh the Titans hadn’t been picking, uh I think the Titans are going to It’s not that they’re going to regret that pick. It was a weak quarterback class and I just don’t know if Cam Ward has the ability to be a franchise quarterback. Maybe a solid number one and that’s good enough right now. I mean, they’ve never had a franchise quarterback. I mean, Steve McNair was not a franchise quarterback. He was a solid quarterback. And again, that was a product of Jeff Fischer not really developing him being, you know, three runs in the cloud of dust, but they have not had a quarterback uh uh since franchise quarterback since Dan Pascarini and and Steve McNair. And so, so they’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting. So, he played alongside Travis Hunter. We’ll see how he turns out. It was a unique system that they ran under Deion Sanders. Uh, you know, so the pre-draft behavior and the NFL team evaluations. Let’s talk about that. So Sanders pre-draft actions, particularly uh his interview conduct and his decisions during the scouting process, you know, that drew significant scrutiny and it was cited. They were like saying, “Hey, the these are key reasons why he slid.” So there was no interview controversies. So Jonathan Jones came out with a little great segment I saw on X and he reported that that Sanders more or less sandbagged interviews with teams he didn’t want want them to draft him. By the end of the first round he was hoping any team would draft him. But see that’s the problem. That is the problem. You know he thought his bleep did not stink. And not only did it stank, it was diarrhea. Woo. So supposedly he gave less than full effort and that rubs some teams the wrong way. If I’m a scout I’m like you’re treating me like this. If you have no respect for me now you’re not going to have respect for the team. And there’s video out there of how he’s treated teammates, how he’s treated opposition teammates, I mean opposition players and shake hands. He’s an arrogant guy. The problem is Dion was arrogant, but he could back it up. This kid doesn’t have the talent to back it up like Dion could. as ESPN is Christina Anderson, she cited an anonymous NFL quarterback’s coach and that coach describes Sanders as brash, arrogant, especially at the NFL draft NFL scouting combine. And look, for those of you in the tribal wars who look at it as a black or white issue, Josina Anderson’s black, she has not. She does her job and she’s saying this, you know. So, so, so it’s a situation which people just want to create this into turn this into tribalism and it was not. Then there’s Todd McShay. He’s an NFL draft insider. He noted that some teams felt Sanders lacked a professional approach in interviews. That’s because of his dad. Look, his dad has taught this kid to be arrogant, to be brash, to be Dion Jr., but at the end of the day, he’s not when it comes to on the field. An anonymous NFL coach told the NFL networks Tom Pelisro Pelisandro Sanders appeared entitled, took unnecessary sacks on the field, displayed poor body language, and blamed teammates during film evaluations. Again, his bleep don’t stank, not realizing it stank so bad 32 teams held off five rounds before somebody took him. So Sanders also opted not to throw at the NFL scouting combine. Now look, he’s not that kind of player. He chose instead to perform at his own showcase weeks before the draft, and that’s not uncommon, but for players at his level of talent, they tend to go to the draft. So, scouts also criticize him for lacking the high-end arm talent. Again, that’s why the Giants did not take him in my opinion. He holds on to the ball too long. He’s slow to read coverage, and he played in a Colorado offense. that was tailored to make him look better than he probably was along with Travis Hunter. Again, that’s why I don’t know how good Travis Hunter is. So, concerns about the influence of his father, Dion, started to come up, but nobody talked about it in the media. But NFL teams, when you slide that long, there’s a disconnect between what the media’s been telling you and what NFL teams are seeing. And as somebody who’s been involved in the game, I saw that all the time. I eventually we had a beat reporter in every locker room. I went through over 200 reporters in a 10-year career uh just because some of them couldn’t do the job. It was a sidekick for them what our job was. And I had to create a template for them because I didn’t want their opinion because I started reading what they were giving us. Some of the writers went, “Holy mackerel, this is nothing but opinions, you know.” And I had to teach my editors how to ask them questions every Friday before they left uh for whatever city the teams they they covered were playing. Uh we got a a live in report with last minute uh injuries what their thoughts and I had to teach my guys this is how you have to ask a question. You have to understand they may like this guy, they may not like this guy. You got to not be afraid to ask the tough question in a very in a tone that that that’s more neutral and they understand what you’re looking for because they’re extremely biased. So, there was a disconnect here, people. A strong disconnect. And uh uh but the teams did not ignore that. They saw that. NFL teams question whether Dion’s high-profile pref presence would bring unwanted media attention. I was saying that from last year. I’m like, I wouldn’t touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. You’re not drafting Shadier. You’re drafting Dion and Shadir. They’re like nut the butt with money one one another. Especially if Shadir is a backup, man. You’re going to hear uh he’s going to be screaming. You you’re going to hear I if the starter has a bad game, you hear whispers. Yeah. You know, anonymous sources telling us that uh uh uh the locker room is liking Shadir or or they’re thinking that they should play Shaders. He’s going to create controversy. Why? Because he wants his son to start. He’ll do that. It’s not beyond him. I’ll give you a reason with with the third segment of the Shader trilogy I’m giving you here. Uh I’ve broken his story up into three parts. You know, in fact, uh, even it became so political because of the tribalism that even Robbie Starbucks, who’s beloved by both black and white conservatives, by everybody because he does what’s right, uh, he was like, “Look, it’s going to be a circus around this kid. I wouldn’t touch him.” So, you don’t believe me? You don’t think it’s going to be a circus? This is what he sent. This is what he reported or was reported. What’s on him? Deion Sanders says there’s a lot of teams he wouldn’t want Shadir to play for. details how he’ll handle it. Think about that. See, at that point, I’m like, “Really? Stay away from that kid.” If I’m the owner, I’m like, “How good is this kid?” Tell Well, you know, his average talent. It’s a weak quarterback class. He’s not even the one of the top quarterbacks in a weak quarterback class. I don’t know a boss. No, we don’t like him. Pass. And anybody who goes, “Well, he may have talent. We could groom him.” Oh, you’re dealing with Deion. Pass. That is what happened. So Sanders pre-draft missteps, sandbagging interviews, all this is alleged, skipping the combine for his own throwing session. A talent that really is not that talented. Luckily, you know, I’m assuming he probably did with Travis Hunter. I’m not sure, though. So, in essence, what we have is a picture of a prospect who likely alienated potential suitors. And as we saw that impacted his draft stock. So what does some of the expert analysis state? And we’re gonna talk about the public debate too. Social media blew up. Racism. Racism. Racism. I mean, never mind that Cam Ward went number one. Never mind that Caleb Williams went number one the year before. Never mind that uh uh uh uh uh the year before that uh uh uh Bryce Young and CJ Shroud winning too. See, now I gotta tell you, I have to play this video for you. I have to. Stephen A. Smith. He knows I mean he posted on X last week sharing a text comparing Sanders situation to Colin Kaepernick’s NFL exclu ex exclusion suggesting possible collusion by NFL owners and and black Twitter took that as racism racism. Racism here is my take that I’ve been saying about Stephen Smith since I started watching him. Stephen A. Smith sees the light or goes where the political winds blow. Stephen A. Smith regrets voting for Camala Harris on Real Time with Bill Mer. Stephen A. Smith expressed regret feeling that Democrat voters were misled. They weren’t misled. They’ve been lied to. And Stephen A. Smith knows they’ve been fed lies. It’s just the race game is a billion-dollar industry and he knows how to play to his audience. He also criticized the lack of a primary contest for the Democratic nomination. He could have said all of this beforehand, but he says it afterwards because the winds are shifting. He’s also vocal and frustrated with the release of illegal immigrants from custody. Again, jumping on the bandwagon. Didn’t hear much if any of this beforehand. There’s no debate about Smith’s authent authenticity and political alignment. He goes where the political winds blow. And my point in this is he he he’s he’s a shyer. He’s a showman. He’s like Trump. He’s a showman. And he goes where the wind blows. He jumped on this Kaepernick situation because he saw Black Twitter was an uproar. He took advantage of that. Shame on you, Stephen A. You know better. But this is why I’ve never believed in you. You You’re pulling the con. Talk about presidential run or how pissed off you are at the Democrat party come election season. You’re a voting Democrat. Yeah. Blows my mind. Then there’s former Congressman Jamal Bowman. You know, he played the race card as well. I’m going to talk about him in the final whistle, so I won’t get into him, but you know, it it’s not the race card. I already told you guys how that played out. But let me let you let me talk about some people who actually have sane minds who are also analysts who also played the game. So, there’s ESPN’s NFL analyst, two-time Super Bowl champion, Damen Woody said on Get Up, I think the NF, quote, I think the NFL sent a message saying, you’re not that dude. Honestly, the overwhelming message I saw when Shadir slid to the fifth round, the NFL was basically saying, “You’re not that guy. You’re good, but you’re not that guy.” Unquote. And he was saying that teams purged players who can help them win. Again, Cam Newton, a lot of negatives came out, but he had the talent. Panthers took him overall. And in his defense, even though I sat there and said he wasn’t what I would call a franchise quarterback, he would he could play the game. He got him a lot of wins with his legs. And the reason I’m so down on Cam is he should have learned to be a quarterback with his legs, his size. If he had learned how to be a pocket quarterback, he could have been devastated, played an extra 10 years, used those legs to maximize. instead he got beat on too much because he chose to run when he should have stayed in the pocket to throw. Anyway, so back to this uh Woody suggested Sanders would have been a first round pick if he was deemed a top tier talent. So then there’s Quincy Avery. Now Quincy Avery is a renowned quarterback coach who he’s trained NFL stars like Deshawn Watson, Justin Fields, and Jaylen Herz. and he’s a founder of Quarterback Takeover and that brings extensive expertise into quarterback development. Oh, here’s some other players. I’m looking at my notes so I do a double take here. Uh other players, okay, here we go. Here’s a list of players that that that that he’s worked with. Deshawn Watson, Jaylen Herz, Justin Fields, CJ Strad, Jordan Love, Gino Smith, Joshua Dobs, Dwayne Haskins, rest in peace, Trey Lance, Malik Willis, and Patrick Mahomes. So, he’s had some that have not made it, you know, uh Joshua Do Dobs, Dwayne Haskins, Trey Latz, Malik Willis, but he specializes in black quarterbacks. Uh imagine if a trainer did that, but just with white quarterbacks, you know, I’m sure he’s got some white quarterbacks in his stable, too. But man, the double standard in this country. Anyway, Avery in a statement to Anscape, which is a a website, he countered the racism claim, saying, quote, “To cry racism because one player was not drafted where socalled draft experts believed he would pick is ridiculous.” And his whole argument that Sanders Slide was due to the performance evaluations, not racial bias. And that’s important to know, you know, and the the author himself who was talking to him, David Dennis Jr. in that same article echoed his view arguing uh that attributing Sanders slide to racism oversimplifies the situ. He he would say, “Look, not it’s not racism in this case.” You know, it’s not racism at all in the NFL, you know. And let’s not forget Aaron Rogers fell to the 25th pick. Patrick Mahomes dropped the 10th. Lamar Jackson 32. Well, Lamar Jackson, I’m surprised, went that high still. is so raw and he’s still a loser when it comes to playoffs. He’s young, 28. He still has a couple more years of windows of ceiling growth after that, then I don’t know. So, they’ve got a couple more years where they can still develop him before I think he finally sets into this is what you see is what you get. But, he’s getting closer. And I think the addition of Derrick Henry was monumental. But, they couldn’t overcome themselves and lost the Bills. So, I think that may have been their window. I think Derrick Henry is gonna start to come down. I think uh but God bless that guy. He proves everybody wrong. But we’ll see. Uh yeah, we will see. You know, I only say that because he’s on the wrong side of 30. He’s 31, 30, I think it’ll be 32 coming this season. Uh uh but he’s on the wrong side of 30. So eventually it’s going to take its toll. And so I thought last year was their best shot. I mean, they may still have a shot with Derrick Henry this year and Lamar Jackson, but uh I think last year was it regardless. Neither Shadir nor Dion has publicly attributed his slide to racism. And that’s because of Dion. Dion may be a showman. When I say showman, think of the circus showman, the guy, the ring master. And that’s what Dion is. But he’s also realizes, look, I can’t play the race game here or I will completely alienate every NFL team. Uh, and he knows it’s not true. That’s the other reason. Instead, they’re falling back on posting the Bible verses and messages of gratitude, uh, etc., etc. So Woody, Avery, Dennis Jr., they’ve all underscored that Sanders Slide has stemmed from teams critical evaluations. As I have been saying since last year, he’s not as good as y’all think he is. He’s just got a ring master in Dion pipping him like there is no other. And I’d love to have Dion as my agent. That’s how good he was in all this. So what about Sanders himself, Shadir? Well, he’s expressing resilience and optimism, and that’s a testament to his upbringing with his dad. He may have taught him to be brash, but he’s also taught him to be a winner, you know, and the Cleveland Browns general manager who finally drafted him in the fifth round, you know, he he said, “Oh, the what’s he going to do?” Son say, “Yeah, you know, we didn’t think he was good as he was, and we took him there just because of the value,” which is a smart move. At that point, I was like, “Somebody should take him because of the value. you’re going to get a potential backup who can come in and be uh not a long-term start as in the postseason, but a short-term start four or five games and maybe half a season or something or to that point. But like Brassette, Jackie, Jacobe Brassette, it’s like you see this talent, but then when they’re given the starting job, it’s like, damn, what happened? You come in as a backup, you kick some tail. Nick Fos is another one, but then you put him in as a starter, it’s like I don’t know what happens. That’s how I see Shadir more as a quality backup. And I think at the fifth round they don’t have to pay him. And that’s gonna be an issue, too. Dion’s gonna say, “Hey, man. He just fell. He’s worth this.” And they’re gonna say, “No, no, no, no, no.” Oh, I mean, that’s going to be a nightmare. I think that I would not have touched him, to be quite honest. So, supposedly he’s going to be able to compete, and I I agree with that. I think he will be able to compete. I think Joe Flacco will be given the starting job and he’s the best quarterback there, but I think uh they’re going to be looking to groom somebody that maybe replace Joe Flacco by midseason. You know, Joe Flacco is is at a point where he’s a quality backup, can come in, be a long-term starter, but he’s not somebody you want to bank on. But we’ll we will see. They love him in Cleveland. I think that was part of the reason why he went back. So, you know, he goes, he said he’s a quote, “Nothing really affected me the last couple of days. I’m favored. I’m blessed. Besides that, it’s not really anything that changed.” So, he’s, you know, he said all the coach speak stuff, you know. So, he’s he’s showing confidence. Again, that’s based off his upbringing, quality upbringing with Dion outside of the fact he taught him to be an ass, you know. But regardless, he does have a positive outlook. Uh, and and I agree, he probably will work hard, you know. Hopefully, he can use this to feed off and get better. I don’t know. We’ll find out. Shader Sanders fifth round selection in this draft. It was shaped by a combination of questionable pre-draft decisions he made probably because of bad advice from his father, critical NFL evaluations, and there was a disconnect of those with the media and then the public misconception though because racism is not a factor in this at all. Now with the Browns, Sanders has a golden opportunity to redefine his narrative. He does have a chance to cement his place in the NFL. So, let’s get to the prank call. You know, that that also made the made the news. The prank call. Uh, and I have that somewhere here. Let me find that here. Uh, where’s that at? Hold on one second. Say it one more time for me. This is Mickey Lumis here, Jam of the F. How you doing? Good. How are you, man? Good. Been waiting on you. Way to go. Yeah, we have. It’s been a long wait, man. Uh, no, for sure. We’re going to take you with our next beat right here, man. Yes, sir. Let’s be legendary. But you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Okay. Sorry about that. Ready to go. What does that mean? What? What did he say? I don’t know. You going to ask us what it mean? You was on. You heard that? He said you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer. Say it one more time for me. Now, let’s be real. That’s disgusting. You don’t play with somebody’s emotions like that. It’s a prank. Now, this has happened in the past plenty of times, but it became tribal again. Oh, wo is me. He’s a victim. It’s a, you know, it’s a terrible prank. Well, what are you gonna do? You know, it’s done all the time. What made it worse was it was a NFL coach’s son. So this this call uh was orchestrated by the son of the an Atlanta Falcons coach, former interim head coach of the New York Jets. Uh what was it? Uh uh uh what was his name? Was his name uh uh oh gosh. Urich. Was the I think he was. I think Jeff I think I think he was I’m not Don’t quote me on that though. Uh but uh you know it exposed vulnerabilities of NFL’s draft communications. Not really. The guy left his iPad out. The son got it. The son’s a penis. Let’s just be honest. That’s what he is. He’s a penis. And uh I should be punishing him. You don’t do that. I mean and here’s a the reason I say that. Odds are this kid’s still on the family dope. If he saw it on his dad’s iPad, which means he’s he’s probably living at home. you know, he needs to kick him out. Go find your own life and find out how hard life can be without my dollar supporting you, you know. But, uh, uh, it was during the second night of the draft. Uh, because I thought the Saints were a a potential choice. I, you know, I thought they were a potential choice based on need, but with the first year head coach who’s still young and dealing with Dion, who’s a very powerful force, it’s just that’s not a headache you want for him. And uh in fact, Ryan Clark being the the the race baiter he is, well, if he can’t handle him, he should have be head coach, you know. Well, there so Mike Thomas should have been fired years ago. He wasn’t able to handle Avon Bell, I mean, Levon Bell or Brown or other players. They ship him off. Sometimes Ryan Clark comes up with the most bigoted, stupid comments you can think of. And that was the case. So, I thought it was a smart move by the by the Saints. Look, we don’t need to deal with a headache. He’s not, you know, he’s a backup at best and he’s a highmaintenance player. We don’t need that headache here as we’re trying to win while we rebuild. Jax Obi, Jax Obi, uh uh uh and the New Orleans Saints general man, he was impersonating Mickey Lumis, falsely informing Sanders he’d been drafted by the Saints. Obviously, you saw the video that went viral and I think Sanderson’s team himself uh uh may have uh put it out too, you know, but but at the end of the day, you just don’t do that. People, come on. Grow up. Grow up. But you know how it goes. The perpetrator’s action. Jes 21, son of Atlanta defensive coordinator Jeff Olrich. Yeah. So that is a former head coach and chairman. You know, he he he he he got a hold of uh Sanders private draft contact number from an open iPad at his parents’ home. See, that that’s what’s even worse. I mean, Jeff, you are a disgusting parent that you have a son that doesn’t have any morals, any decency, any common sense and does that. That’s a guy who who when he does something, he’s gonna be crying and whining. Daddy, come protect me. That is Jack Ore. He’s probably still living at home. Still a baby on his mama’s teeth. Feed me, feed me in terms of give me money. I mean, God bless uh uh uh uh uh Shadir Sanders, you know. He said uh he said, “Look, it’s a childish act. Everybody does childish things here and there.” You know why? Because he’s done childish things. There’s plenty of video on too, but still that’s no excuse. I mean, look, the kid, his dad wrongly put into his head how good he thought he was going to be and it went south quickly. And then to give that prank call, that’s just And then the way he’s laughing, just want, oh, you just want to hit him, you know, just giving the beating Jeff never gave him that he should have, you know, given the beating his mama should have given him. You are the scum of the earth. Oh, break both daddy, mama, and you to do that. Ah, now I they should have fired Jeff Obi over this, but if they did, I wouldn’t shed a tear. I wouldn’t shed a tear. That’s disgraceful. And what’s what’s a little punk kid do? He gives a an apology. We all know he doesn’t mean on Friday night. I made a tremendous mistake. You think Shadir was Shadir? What I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. Now, let me tell you what he didn’t add in there. because I got caught. I’m so sorry I took away your moment. It was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and mess with that moment. Yeah, cuz you ain’t good enough. You didn’t get the jeans from daddy who was able to play in a league where you’re sorry self, was it? Thank you for accepting my call earlier today. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Yeah, what a little punk ass [ __ ] So the but but the reason I say you know they really shouldn’t punish him this is happens all the time there’s a lot of a-holes I you know when I went to college I was uh what do they call it when they recruit you delta tie delta and and I went through that process and then I stopped I can’t remember I was like I’m not going to go through this I said I don’t I don’t care to be initiated be part of Delta Thai Delta and uh because I’m like I’m not going to go through this initiation yeah I’ll fight back I’m not I’m not want to sit there and be denigrated and be a brother down the road. No, no, no. And uh there so there’s a frat boy mentality and I always bug my my I’m not getting into that. But uh I just I have no respect for them because there there’s nothing but beer boosting. That’s fine. I will soon the sailor but it’s it’s a certain mentality. It’s it’s like these kids don’t seem to outgrow it. Why? Because well you got 30 some odd year olds living in mama’s basement. That’s why. Yeah. So they’re investigating it. Penn State tight end Tyler Warren selected by the Colts. I think he was selected in the first or second round. Uh uh sixth round pick Kyle McCord and sixrounder Chase Lunt. They were all prank called. So look, the the the prank call to Shadir Sanders, you know, it wasn’t a defining moment in the draft like people are trying to make it out to be. It was a low light of the draft in terms of the Albright family. Disgusting excuses for human beings in that moment in time. Oh, they’re good people. Really? Good people don’t raise kids and do stupid crap like that. Yes, it’s forgivable, but man, it just angers me because look, the kid was already in the dumps and you’re just piling on at a petty jealousy because you’re because you’re not being drafted because you can’t play in the league because you just want to be an a-hole. No, that’s wrong. And we know the apologies don’t mean squat. He’s just apologizing because he got caught. So, I do want to talk about, you know, so look, I’m applauding Shadir for how he handles himself and and plowing to those who did what was wrong against him. But I give you the truth all the time, good and bad. So, let’s talk about an ugly truth here. The University of Colorado’s decision to retire the jersey number of Shadir Sanders number two was disgraceful. Travis Hunters number 12. No, not quite. Too soon, but not quite. Uh, it sparked intense debate. Not really intense debate. It sparked a lot of mocking. Deian Sanders candid remarks about his son’s jersey retirement to go with a sharp criticism from 1990 star Chad Brown who was on the national championship team. And it shows there’s tensions with the program’s current direction and the disrespect and shoddiness is being run with under Deion Sanders. So Shadir uh uh year one in Colorado 4-8 record in 2023 nine and4 record in 2024 no bowl game in his first season second season Alamo bowl they lost 36-14 wasn’t even close he had a 1312 overall record no conference titles no bowl wins and you’re talking retiring the jersey you know as soon as Dion leaves I’m the next athletic director I’m like no we’re dretiring it if he has a case with that the numbers speak for themselves. And it’s not even like he’s gonna be a big star in the NFL, but then again, you know, a lot of great college players aren’t, so I can’t hold that against him. But my issue is he didn’t even do anything in college. Again, he had the greatest PR guy in Dion. I don’t know. It’s just So Dion did address the situation stating, quote, “If his last name wasn’t Sanders, we wouldn’t have this discussion. only reason we’re having this discussion is because his last name is Sanders. That’s it.” Unquote. Well, he didn’t realize he was doing it. Yeah, you’re right. We’re having this discussion because his last name is Sanders. That’s the only reason he got it retired. Dion just There’s a saying when you’re too close to the forest to see the trees. He’s too close to his son to realize his son, you were forcing the hand of the university to retire his jersey and he didn’t deserve it. and you were forcing it and got it done because your name was Sanders. You didn’t realize, you know, he was actually adding fuel to the fire. It’s tied to his influence rather than on the field achievements. So, as a father, Sanders defense of his son. We get it. But again, he’s the coach’s favorite. He’s not as good. He’s the type of player if he had brought in a better quarterback, he wouldn’t have started him over Shader. It’s that simple. That’s the type of head coach Dion is. He plays favorites and that’s why he’ll never be a great head coach I think because his decision and had to but maybe he can mature into it. I hope he does you know but we’ll see. And it’s been widely mocked on social media fans analysts pointing to the team’s lack of achievements. No conference titles, no bow wins. I mean let’s be honest. It’s not like like he doesn’t, you know, deserve it because he didn’t deserve it. All right. And my pro Oh, some of these are great. Some of these are great. Let’s see. Well, here’s a serious one. Cordell Stewart doesn’t have his number retired. He won two bowl games and finished in the top 10 twice, but he wasn’t the coach’s son. Colorado is an unserious program. Oh, let me uh uh uh uh uh make that one bigger so I can read it there. 1312 record overall records 01 bow record. One and eight versus top 25 teams saved by his daddy. What a career. You know the one and eight versus top 25 teams. That goes a long way too. The guy couldn’t compete when it was against quality teams. It’s sad but true. This one’s brutal. Colorado six, Oregon 42. They were both undefeated going in. 42 to6. That one is brutal. What’s so legendary about going 1312? No conference titles and no bow wins. Oh, I think that was it there. There were a ton more. I just grabbed a few. Chad Brown, star linebacker from Colorado in the early 90s and part of the 1990 National Championship. He expressed this this satisfaction. He was talking to TMZ and he was a first team all big eight honors. He described a jersey retirement as quote slight unquote to past players. And he was being polite. He wasn’t really giving it all. Now Chad uh uh uh Brown went on to have a great career. uh Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks second team all pro 1996 1998 all Madden team 1996 that’s the game but show that’s an honor unto itself started in Super Bowl 30 1995 Steelers AFC champions they lost to the Cowboys that can’t be right they lose to the Cowboys in Super Bowl I don’t think so let me double check that people I hate to have I stand corrected yeah that was the year they lost to Barry Switzer in the Super Bowl. Barry Switzer, national champion, Super Bowl champion. The man will never get the credit he’s due. Uh because they never saw him as coach, but he was a great manager. He knew his job as coach was a rahrh guy and he had great offensive and great defensive coordinators. Anyway, uh he stated, quote, “While Travis certainly deserves his flowers and deserves to have his number retired. To forget the greatest era in college football at CU, which I was a part of when we won a national championship, it also feels like a slight” unquote. He emphasized, quote, “Two things can be true at once,” unquote, in terms of current players deserve recognition, but past players also merit honors. You know, he’s not alone. He’s not alone. There are stars to the 1990 champ national championship team that that that don’t have their jersey retired. Excuse me. Obviously, this is nepotism. It runs rampant in every corner of power. And the jersey retirement of Colorado for Sanders is no exception. Daddy got him that retirement, you know. So that now his number two is immortalized. I’m like, if I’m the next athletic director, Dion’s gone. It’s gone. Not for Siller Stats, but for sharing his father’s last name. And you know, in a way that becomes a bane of his existence. He’ll have it up there. And whenever somebody mentions it, there’s always going to be somebody in the room and say, “Yeah, because of daddy.” So if that was me, I’d rather not have it at all because I know I didn’t earn it and I know somebody will always remind me and look down on me because it was daddy. It wasn’t me. So his this honor is nothing but a hollow nod to Deion Sanders influence. It’s not a tribute to a legacy legacy earned on the field. All right, let us move on to Shannon Sharp. So Sharp, uh, he’s obviously a former NFL star, Hall of Famer. I don’t know if he’s in yet, but if he isn’t, he will be. And ESPN, yeah, he’s got to be in by now. ESPN personality. He was hit with a $50 million civil lawsuit, as we all know. I talked about it last week. It broke as I was getting ready to do my show. I think it broke that morning or the late night, the night before, and I scrambled and got it in. But Gabriella Zuniga, uh, I guess her listeners are Jane Doe, but he kind of said who she was. 19-year-old uh uh pretty little girl. Uh she’s alleging rape, sexual assault, battery, and emotional distress from a nearly 2-year relationship. So, it’s a high-profile lawsuit, and it’s prompted Sharp to temporarily step away from his ESPN roles. My statement is found here, and this is the truth. He’s This is what they sent him. That part, he wasn’t supposed to be in there. Uh uh uh uh he was supposed to have I don’t know. It just sounds odd. Uh but maybe it was. My statement is found here and and this is the truth. The relationship in question was 100% consensual. At this juncture, I am electing to step aside temporarily for my ESPN duties. Translation: Shannon, we need to take we need to talk. We need a break. I will be devoting this time to my family and responding and dealing with these false and disruptive allegations set against me. I plan to return to ESPN at the start of the NFL preseason week. I sincerely appreciate the overwhelming and ongoing support I have received from my family, fans, friends, and colleagues. I can imagine Sterling Shannon, how you doing? The man can’t move that neck. I’m not a fan of Sterling Sharp. Arrogant. He said that he made Brett Favre yet after his stiff neck went out and retired. uh Favre kept on grooving and moving and grooving. So we saw how that went and uh he got in just because Shannon Sharp became a bit famous more famous uh as a personality outside of football and just like you know Howie Long Howie Long got in because he became a famous personality. Uh their numbers were great. I don’t know. They were Hall of Fame great and maybe they were, but uh uh uh their impact on the game I didn’t see as uh Hall of Fame type impact, but that’s just me and I could be wrong. It’s been years, but uh I was not a fan. Anyway, I’m digressing. He’s stepping away from it. So, what are some of the current Let’s rehash some of the current allegations. Gabrielle Zeniga, she did file a $50 million lawsuit. Uh again the claims are rape, sexual assault, battery, intestinal infliction of emotional distress and negligence with allegations of multiple non-conexual a sexual acts. Uh Zuniga describes uh uh uh the the relationship as initially consensual but escalating into controlling abusive and violent behavior. And they’ve released a few tapes. We don’t know if they’re full unedited. I don’t think they are. Uh but he’s got problems here because I do think it’s a shakedown. But his pass is going to force a big payout and and and from some reports he tried to pay her off already. So Sharp allegedly recorded the sexual encounters without her consent and threatened to release the recordings to intimidate her. Why you fool? You’re a fool if you did that. So, the lawsuit cites choking incidents, four sexual acts, and death threats, and is supported by an audio clip released by attorney Tony Busby in which Sharp perfectly says, “I will choke the bleep out of you. I’m not playing. Me?” Oh, Lord have mercy. If you said that one more time, I’m gonna [ __ ] choke the [ __ ] out of you when I see you. Whoop. So Tony Busby’s he’s a prominent attorney. He’s like the rich man. He’s like the ambulance chaser who wins, you know. I mean, he’s gotten like over 20 some odd out of court settlements for uh against Des for Deshun Watson to pay off his female clients. You know, I thought that was part of the math. It’s a happy ending. some expensive happy endings had. There’s no doubt that Deshawn did a lot of this stuff. It’s just easier to pay him off. That’s what they’re looking for. A lot of them are, you know, uh attorney and not maybe not all of them, you know, but I am a jaded person because of the the destruction that the Me Too movement did with no proof and they destroyed careers simply because a woman was upset. Yes, I will stick by my guns because a lot of evidence is not there. Look at Kavanaaugh. Justice Kavanaaugh. Look at uh Trump. How they railroaded Trump. So Sharp’s defense attorney, Adam Kenner, denies the allegations. He’s labeling the lawsuit as an extortion attempt. I believe that to a point. I think they’re both bad parties here. I don’t think there’s no innocent party. I think they’re both bad people in this scenario. So Sharp’s team released explicit text messages, which he did, which were allegedly from her suggesting consensual relationship. Now I have to ask you people is each cheek there worth 25,000 my you know 25,000 each cheek that’s the woman uh Gabriella uh Zuniga you know so her her her f her her Instagram page is public so those are public pictures there uh gorgeous body let’s not deny it you know gorgeous body you know and uh uh Each cheek is 25,000. So, let me know in the comments. Are those $25,000 cheeks? So, that’s a $50,000 total booty. Uh, Zuniga disputes their contacts. You know, Sharp. So, here’s where it gets dicey. Sharp offered $10 million settlement before the lawsuit was filed and she rejected that. So, she’s a fool. I would have asked for 10 million taxfree meaning so that would have come up to probably 16 million you know especially in California. Uh I would have asked for 10 million taxree and he would have probably paid it. Uh he doesn’t have a leg to stand on right now. Again I I think this is a shakedown but it’s a shakedown that that that that that’s been perfectly planned and you gotta applaud her for that. And you got to look at Shannon Shannon. Shannon Shannon Sterling. Janet, Janet, Janet. There’s no restraining order reported in this case by either party here, but the career impact, look, he stepped away from his ESPN duties, uh, including first taking. He was a rising he was a rising star, brash. He was like Dion, but the TV personality. I mean, his star to me would have been brighter than, uh, than than than Stephen A. Smith. So ESPN hasn’t commented on sharp status with the severity of the allegations that’s threatening his high-profile role. Now he’s still doing Shay Shay podcast and that but ESPN probably wants to distance himself from this and you know so uh these are explosive allegations and this has thrust Sharp’s past controversies where well into the spotlight restraining orders to settle disputes. He has a history of allegations involving a lot of women and that see this is why he’s trapped. This reveals a pattern that amplifies the current and legal challenges he’s facing. He’s kind of put himself in a corner because of of his own doing. 2010 CBS Sports sexual assault allegation. A woman accused Sharp of sexual assault and and life threats while he worked as a CBS sports analyst. There was a temporary restraining order that was filed against him. It was withdrawn for undisclosed reasons. Oh, that’s why it was withdrawn. So he So during that investigation, he stepped away. It was resolved privately. No further legal action. 2010 Michelle Evans restraining order. I don’t know if this is a mi uh she had a decade long relationship with Sharp from 20002000 alleged sexual assault and life threats. This maybe this is the same person. I’m not sure. Uh uh well if it is I’m going in greater detail. Evans obtained a restraining order withdrew it. Oh okay. She withdrew restraining order because she was being doxed and harassed and it endangered her and her daughter and the case may be separate from the CBS sports allegation but maybe there’s possible overlap is possible here. But no further action occurred. But Evans filed a lawsuit in 2023. But before we get to her lawsuit in 20 pre2023, there was a Fox Sports One workplace incident. Sharp was accused of choking. See, this is why the choking was accused of choking a female production assistant during an incident while co-hosting Undisputed. His representative described it as light physical art and interaction in a playful context. Don’t manipulate me. Calm Lord have mercy. If you said that one one more time, I’m going to [ __ ] choke the [ __ ] out of you when I see you. Things that make you go again. His representative described it as quote, “Light physical interaction in a playful context,” unquote. Look, I may be doing TMI here, but there are women out there who like to be choked. For average guys, it kind of scares the hell out of you. You’re like harder. It seems on the flip side that Shannon likes to do the choking. So, no lawsuit or restraining order was filed. Fox Sports settled the private matter privately for several hundred,000. See, look at that. See, 2023 the 2025 the Michelle Evans defamation lawsuit. Going back to this woman, she filed a $4 million civil lawsuit. Man, she that’s Trump change lady. You need to jack that up if you offer 10 million to this other woman. Oh. Oh. Oh, she did. She amended it in 2025, alleging defamation, liel, slander, and emotional distress with reference to a 2010 sexual RSB assault. Sharp defamed Evans by threatening to ruin her reputation and engaging in doxing after their breakup. If she can prove that, he’s also in hot water legally with the cops. It’s illegal to dock somebody. So, she alleges a 2010 sexual assault, but is not suing for assault directly. She claims ongoing harassment by Sharp endangering her and her daughter. A 2023 request did seek a protective order against Sharp and it was denied and the case remains ongoing. Her lawyer is like, “Oh yeah, let’s get back in court, baby.” So, look, his history is one that’s marked by sexual assault claims, workplace misconduct, defamation allegations, and this it’s it’s a recurring pattern. And I’m wondering if that’s why if it’s true that he offered her 10 million, it’s because of this. He’s consistently denied it. And all this is alleged. Just to let you know, it’s alleged. Again, I don’t think there’s either side is in the right here. I think they’re both bad people. [Music] So his consistent denials and legal counter strategies, they’re going to face her toughest test here with his Zenigga lawsuit and the Evans lawsuit because this Evan lawsuit is it’s kind of like a shot of testosterone steroids for her. Look, let me say something here about football players. I did a paper on football players back in the 90s and at the time either 50% of them before the money became out of this world uh either about 50% of them either were had a police record for domestic assault or violence of some other kind or they were bankrupt. And that’s because these are people who are never told no. They’re never taught had to be fiscally pr prudent. And it’s sad because these are people who their bodies are shot. I mean, they they take a beating playing that game, whether you’re a quarterback or a punt. Well, maybe not a punter or a kicker, but you get my drift. So, they’re the point I’m trying to make is they’re never told no. See, this is when people play the race card in sports, I’m like, that’s nonsense. Once a player, regardless of culture, color, or whatnot, is discovered to have some type of athletic talent, they’re never said no to. Agents and former players have told me this. I tell you this was my domain. I covered this as a reporter. I wasn’t an official reporter but in my previous life we covered things from a news media perspective reporting on stories. Whenever we went to events we were part of the news media. We were seen as reporters. So we were selftaught. And let me tell you it’s not hard to be a reporter. It’s not hard to develop a network of insiders. It’s not hard to be unbiased when you put your clients i.e. your customers who are paying you for your information first. So that’s why I look at today’s reporters, you’re disgraceful. But what I learned there from both players, former players and agents, is that when a player’s never told no, they struggle after retirement because they become normal Joe’s. There’s no longer the being the star. And with women, I mean, we’ve seen it over and over. And it’s not just football. It’s not just blacks. just the professional athlete, the the the the Hollywood star, the actor, actress, the the the the singer, the the rock stars, you know, it it it’s a position of power, never being told no. So, he’s got two active lawsuits, one for 50 million, one for four million, and and I suspect that 4 million will be jacked up. So, what’s his defense strategy? He claims all claims he’s framing them as financially motivated or exaggerated. Well, that could be true, but that’s not a strategy. He’s going to try to use text messages as evidence. They’re he’s going to look to settle out. That’s what he’s going to look to do. But they can’t bankrupt them. And here’s the kicker. Had she taken the 10 million, I would have asked again for 10 million taxfree, which would have been about 16 million. And uh said, “Hey, you get$und00 million dollar contract. You deal with it.” And Shannon Sharp’s lawyer would have said, “Yeah, deal with it.” Now that contract’s likely gone. He’s tainted because all these women, there’s going to be more that come out. If this is a recurring pattern that adds truth to it, there’s more women down the pipe. Past settlements, withdrawn stra restraining orders, these controversies, ongoing lawsuit, two of them that are unresolved, public perception is quickly cratering. I mean, public support is quickly cratery. I mean, all of this underscores the complexities of accountability and credibility of who is right and who isn’t. 2023 Evans and 2025 Zenga lawsuits as they progress, they’re going to shape Sharp’s legacy. Darren Woodson’s in jail for spiking a woman. His legacy is gone. So, will we remember Sharp as a sexual assaulter, as threatening women, as choking them, or will we balance that with his NFL star and his and what he’s done? We don’t know. That’s still waiting to be seen. So, his legal battle from 2010 to 2025, it obviously paints a complex portrait of a public figure who’s grappling with serious accusations here while trying to defend and salvage his reputation. His career is at crossroads, people. And whether Sharp can navigate these challenges, these lawsuits, this cratering public support and return to media prominence, I don’t know. If I had to put my money on it right now, I say it’s a 50/50 and it’s not trending in the right direction. the unfolding legal proceedings. That is what will continue to define the public narrative about him. There you have it, my friends. Oh, not quite. I wanted to show you one thing about Sharp’s hypocrisy. This is sweet. Access Hollywood talking about grabbing hoo-ha that did not shock the very conscience of seven. He’s talking about Trump and uh grabbed them by the you know what NFL owner skipping me a second to name those guys. One Daniel Snider the guys on your monitor Jerry Jones Bob Mr. Bob Crab McNair Houston Texans Woody Johnson Khan those are all owners who donated to Trump back in 2016. They gave a million dollars for the inauguration of President Trump. And now they seem to be shocked. That didn’t age well, did it, Shannon? Don’t manipulate me. Lord have mercy. If you said that word one more time, I’m going to [ __ ] choke the [ __ ] out of you when I see you. He’s brought all of this on himself, people. I don’t feel bad for him. I don’t feel good for him. I don’t support him. I don’t care. I am like eating the popcorn. This is good stuff to watch. All right, let’s get on to the final whistle. Mongo’s last stand, a Bears legend falls. Okay, so rest in peace to Steve Mcichels. He was a Chicago Bears icon, 1985 Super Bowl champion. He passed away at 67 on April 23rd after a four-year battle with ALS. You know what irks me in the notes? It says leaving a void in the NFL community. Look, I’m sorry. People who struggle with ALS, it’s here’s an ugly truth. It’s kind of like that cursed blessing. You’re you’re sad that he’s gone. He’s no longer with you. But the truth is his mind may have been there, but his body had left him, had betrayed him. and they become they see themselves as a burden because they can’t do anything. They’re literally quadriplegics in bed having to have everything. And sometimes people see that it’s that blessing in disguise. And I see it all the time with the Alzheimer’s victims. I’ve told my wife, look, I’m a pro-life guy. I’m a conservative, but I I I’ll be damned if I want you to suffer if I have dementia. Look at Gene Hackman. It’s like, let’s go to Oregon where euthanasia is legal. I mean, that’s how I feel. I don’t want to be a burden and I suspect Steve Mcichael may have felt the same way. I don’t know though. I don’t speak for him, but uh it’s tough ALS at that point when they passed. The you’re thinking of the vibrant guy on the field in interviews and things like that. That’s that was a shell of a man at the end of his tenure there. So, Mcichael, five-time a pro defensive tackle, died surrounded by loved ones. Jared Peyton, the son of Walter Peyton, was a spokesman and uh he was in hospice care followed by hospital stay. uh that included intensive care time, 13-year Bears tenure. Oh, I’m sorry. Jared Peyton was son of Walter Peyton. He was a spokesman for the family. He’s the one who let everyone know he had passed. So, uh Mcichel had a 13 years Bear tenure from 81 to 93. It franchise record 191 consecutive games, 92 and a half sacks, third most in team history. Uh 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction. And they held it besides him uh when they presented it him. I almost talked about that but I missed my window. Uh but yeah, that was that was a pointant moment. So fam is fleeting. He’s a legend. He had his time in the sun. He’ll always be in cancer now and will be remembered in that sense. But remember people, enjoy your time in the sun because you don’t know what’s going to happen down the road. So, let’s go from Mcichael to another former player, Jay Feelely. He’s shifting from the field to the newsroom to a new arena in politics. So, former NFL kicker Jay Feelely announced his 2026 candidacy for Arizona’s fifth congressional district. He’s trading his CBS Sports analyst role for a shot at replacing Representative Andy Biggs. He’s a 14-year NFL veteran. Played for teams like the Cardinals from 2010 2014. He’s running as a Republican in a GOP stronghold. I’m not gonna say where it’s at, but it’s in Arizona. Y’all wouldn’t know, but it’s Well, it’s covering Gilbert and Chandler area where he endorsed Donald Trump in 2024 and aligns with me. MAGA. Yes, I’m a conservative Latino who believes in MAGA. Why? You look at the data, people. Anybody who wants to debate me, I welcome the debate because we’ll pull out the data. Anything that you talk about that Trump’s racist, I can counter it with the sign of the Times. I’m not going to get into this is the final whistle, but uh uh I welcome that challenge from anybody. I’ll destroy your ass. Anyway, he highlighted his NFL PA leadership experience in the standout 2010 game against the Denver Broncos. He kicked five field goals and scored a rushing touchdown as he preps for the battle. So while Feelely leverages his NFL past for political future, current NFL star Saquon Barkley faces scrutiny for his own political encounter playing golf with the Donald. So just the other day, today actually, this is last minute I added at the last minute, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, who was instrumental in getting into the Super Bowl, played golf with President Donald Trump in New Jersey, drawing criticism from fans as the team prepared for the White House visit. Barkley, one of nine players to rush for 2005 yards in a season over 20,000 yards, he defended it. Quote, “Maybe I just respect the office,” unquote. And he states he golf with Barack Obama, but racist and bigots attacked him with slurs and called him a sellout. Quote, “Sellout unquote for associated with Trump.” And NBC News even jumped on it, you know, when they reported, “Well, Jaylen Herd skipped. What are you doing playing golf?” Look, y’all are racist and bigots who want to play this game. Look at the data. Donald Trump only became a racist because the media told you he was a racist. Think for yourself, my brethren, Latinos. Think for yourself, black Twitter. Think for yourself, black America. Think for yourself, Asian America. All y’all who s piling on Trump, y’all won’t even look at the data because the data speaks a different story. That shows you’re indoctrinated. And all you’re doing is proving true what these damn bigoted white liberals say. Well, you know, they don’t know what their DMV is. You’re better than that and you know it. So get off your high horse and pick up a book and look at the data. So Barkley’s golf outing with Trump, it sparked a racial backlash. It does show broader attention to the NFL, but it also shows ignorance who don’t know anything about the NFL who are in politics wanting to get their 10 cents their two cents notice. And that is Jamal Brown playing the race card. So, former representative Jamal Ba Bowman, Jamal Bowman, who got kicked out, uh uh uh lost in the primary, I believe, uh didn’t even make it to the general. Uh he claimed that the NFL draft of Colorado quarterback Shadir Sanders was racially motivated. I’ve just gone through 45 minutes of telling you why it wasn’t. Bowman argued on video that the NFL dislikes Sanders because he wears gold chains and talks like a rapper despite his leadership and 77% pass completion. Look, I’ll say it. Boom. He’s a racist. He’s a bigot. He is the worst thing that represents America. Everything bad, you look at him, he represents it. He’s also a liar. No, I didn’t. I didn’t press that alarm. The fire alarm. Here’s that video pressing fire alarm. So, Bowman uh you know, critics highlighted the contradiction, noting Bowman’s claim it ignores the draft diversity, 23 of first 32 picks being black. He’s just a bigot. He’s just a racist. And while he wants to create controversy that extends beyond the field into political narratives, we have ESPN’s Mina Kim. She faces her own battle over diversity and qualifications. She’s an ESPN NFL analyst who is an admitted DEI hire. She defined defended her hiring as a DEI initiative. There were more better qualified people who deserved more than her, but they hired her not because she was more qualified than them, but because she was an Asian woman. She earns two million annually, and she’s not even worth it. Her ratings, oh god, it’s not worth two million. She admitted DI played a role in her ESPN hiring, and that’s because ESPN incentivizes managers to hire people of color or women. And that’s cited through a CBS Paramount lawsuit settled in April 2025 for discriminating against straight white males. It’s also uh meaning it that’s what DEI hat does. It doesn’t go for giving opportunities. It goes let’s just hire them because they’re white, black, Asian, woman or whatever. I’m not toss white out. That’s who is discriminated. And what uh Outcake is saying here where I found this at that look the CBS Paramount lawsuit and I just covered that in my Red, White, and Rude a couple nights ago, it was uh uh uh the show Seals or Seal Teams or whatever. A guy was getting passed over for lesser qualified people because he was white and they weren’t. And they said, “Oh, they didn’t want to deal with it. Okay, we’ll settle this out of court. They don’t need to be because the media has been losing 25 million, 166 million and they’re not going to court or they they end the court process because as one jury said, “Yeah, we’re looking at penalizing CNN for $100 million.” So, the tides are turning. Mina Kims is nothing but a DEI hire. But that said, in her defense, it appears from what I’ve been told, I rarely watch her. She does know herself, but come on. She’s a smart girl. How hard is it to learn numbers, spit them out? I’d rather see a player who’s actually played a game who can give us context with those numbers. She can’t and she her background business journalism obviously as a woman never played no coaching no nothing but yet ESPN positions her as a groundbreaking analyst on NFL live please. Oh, so while the media debates DEI, the NFL’s lighter side merges, well, not the NFL, but colleges, football’s lighter side merges through a quirky rumor about Mike Leech. I found this. I got to give credit where it’s due. Bartow sports. Barel Sports shared a rumor that the late coach Mike Leech once proposed using a little person in a football play. I don’t know if [ __ ] is uh or dwarf is uh seen as a negative connotation. I don’t know. And I’m not trying to sit there and pretend it is. And it is. I don’t know. But I do know little pee person is what they call him. But but the rumor is from a Reddit post and an NFL ringer draft podcast. It claims that leads, rest in peace, Mike Lee, suggested that a Texas at Texas Tech that a player like Michael Crabtree could helicopter toss a little person over the line on scrimmage on fourth and short. An idea allegedly vetoed by an assistant coach. That that can’t be true. But it’s hilarious. It’s hilarious. And there you have it, my friends. Points on the board. This was a fun episode. Look, I am swamped. I’m constantly backpedaling with work, but I love doing these podcasts and I love gathering this information to bring you truths. You need to know the truth of what’s happening. You needed to know the truth about Shadir Sanders from the nonsense that it wasn’t racism, that he was overhyped, had arguably the greatest PR rep in his father, Dion, that we’ve seen in the last generation. On the flip side, to defend him over how he carried himself and to defend him over this stupid, ignorant prank call from a bum, Jeffrey. That’s right. You’re a bum. Yeah, you can swap me down with one punch, but you’re still a bum. And your son’s an even worse bum. So’s your mama. Because none of them taught you manners, did they? J, you [ __ ] kids. I mean, that it’s I could just imagine how down he is at the moment. You know, sure people, William, who’s gonna get drafted or he’s going to play in the NFL should be happy. Yeah. But when you’re thinking because when your dad’s lied to you and talked you up thinking you’re gonna be one of the top picks and you’re drafted to the fifth round, boy, man, your heart sunk as low as low. Then you get that call in the second round thinking you’re going to get drafted. Okay. Okay. I’ll be next Drew Brees. That’s brutal. They have a little punk ass batch. do that for no other reason except to be spite. That’s terrible. Then I turn around like the ugly truth. You defend him, you hammer them. Then you hammer Dion because Shadir does not belong in the Ring of Honor for Colorado. That number should never have been retired. He did nothing to deserve it and everybody knows it. And Dion and wanting to do that for his son just made a joke out of him. And of course, I hope you enjoyed Shannon Sharp. Uh uh I’ve kind of changed my tune on him from the last one and uh there’s no good sides here. I think he is being taken into the cleaners, but he put himself in this position. So don’t feel bad for him. Is his career over? Don’t know. We’ll find out. And I hope you enjoy the final listen. And with that, my friends, do not forget to like and share this podcast, please. 1. Do you agree or disagree with Points on the Board’s take that Shedeur Sanders’ fifth-round NFL Draft slide was due to his own pre-draft missteps rather than racism, or are you more shocked by Shannon Sharpe’s $50M lawsuit allegations? 2. How about this for a conspiracy theory or reality, Which ever you prefer. The NFL Gets in touch with Cleveland and convince them
    To trade
back with Jacksonville They then tell everyone else not to touch Shedeur because the Browns were gonna pick him In the first round anyway. Thus, black balling and Humbling Shedeur for 4 rounds. The Cleveland Browns get their quarterback In the fifth round
    "On the cheap"
And the NFL is able to punish Shedeur Sanders For being too uppity.
