The shaft is too long for your height, it looks like a fishing rod
This is my swing to a tee! Gonna try this drill as need to let the club head overtake the hands and it ain’t at the moment!!!!

Great video Matt and just in time. I went for a driver fit yesterday (6th Mar 25) in which the pro fixed my slice with a 50g shaft and draw biased head. On the course I rarely slice but not in the simulator. I sliced all but 3 drives until the new set up came in for only £600. I'm going to try your recommendations as I think that may be useful to my 90mph swing as I am t mptd to drive with an iron swing sometimes leading th handle. Always best o correct your swing b fore a club fitting. Thanks 👍
Matt, by coincidence my local club pro gave me the exact same drill a couple of weeks ago — and I can confirm it works! Played yesterday after doing it at home for a couple of weeks, and hit 13 of 14 fairways, and also increased my average drive from 225 yards to 240 yards (I'm 65, I'm not going to drive it as far as you do!). Made such a difference in confidence, too, I KNEW I was going to start the ball on my target line and not slice it out into oblivion. This is a great exercise that really works! Well done.
I worked out I have been doing same with driver with push slices. Been feeling the club pass and driving is going better. 😊
I’m really struggling with it! It’s making me feel so down. When I get it straight it’s inconsistent and I can’t hit it very far. Struggle with rotation.

You can draw without flipping your club over
Great lesson Matt . Exactly what I need . Do you play a shorter length driver shaft ? I think that can help my strike . I’ve also started playing a lighter shift with softer tip which is helping me close the face easier
Tempo to me is crucial too with the big stick. I normally play a slight draw, but it can become a screaming hook if I rush the release of the club head. Ah golf! 🙂

it also goes to show you have peaked as far as distance goes ….so be happy with 260-280 on fairway and stop feeling like you need to hit every par 5 in 2 …as so often you rack up bogey or worse chasing an eagle when a simple 4 is possible if you just play within yourself a little bit

Really helpful tip for the push slicers 🙋♂️. I do think it could lead to some pull hooks, we shall see. I will try the split hand drill at the range next time

Having watched a great majority of your videos Matt, I noticed that you have a lack of intent to hit the golf ball with driver. I think that you're on the right track now and you will play better with the new found confidence.

I feel like this drill (and most YouTube driver lessons) would promote a draw? What if youre happy with a fade but just want to control it more? Feel like everyone promotes hitting draws but a lot of pros hit fades?

Fantastic work and nice new move. I think it would be good to see the swing slowed down from front (side on) on to see if the shaft is doing what you think it's doing.
