Golf content creator Paige Spiranac had some news to share this Thursday involving one of her social media followers.
Spiranac, a former All-Mountain West golfer for San Diego State, tried to compete on the Cactus Tour and LPGA Tour before ultimately making a career change. That wasn’t a bad move on her part considering she has blossomed into an incredibly popular influencer over the past few years.
As of this March, she currently has 4.1 million followers on Instagram and 1.7 million followers on TikTok.
Spiranac revealed last week that one of her followers sends her the same message after every single Instagram post.
“There is this guy who comments ‘great cans’ on everything I post,” Spiranac wrote on March 13. “In a world full of hate and despair I know he will always be there for me to lift my spirit.”
Six days later, Spiranac provided a hilarious update on her follower’s social media activity.
“Good news and bad news,” Spiranac wrote in a follow-up post. “Bad news is he hasn’t sent me a ‘great cans’ message since I posted this which is devastating. Good news is I’m now getting flooded by ‘great cans’ messages by the rest of you.”
Spiranac’s fans are always in her corner.
Roughly a month ago, Spiranac revealed that she was going through mental health struggles.
“I am in a bit of a funk, a rut if you will, and its not like a one or two day thing. This has been going on for a little bit. I feel like I’ve just been so in my head about everything and I’m just trying to work through it. I think that’s why I haven’t been posting as much because I am just overthinking everything and I just feel like my anxiety has taken control,” Spiranac said. “I’m trying to push myself outside of that and post more and get back to what I was doing before. I feel like I haven’t been active because I’ve just been in my own head, in this kind of funky rut and we’re working through it.”
It didn’t take long for Spiranac’s fans to bombard her with kind messages.
Although this Thursday’s post was a bit more on the comedic side of things, Spiranac proved she’s got a loyal fan base.
