BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — Changes are coming soon to a disc golf course in Bedford County.

If you’re an avid disc golfer, you only have a few days left at the New London Tech Disc Golf Course.

Construction is getting started this Monday.

The County is expanding the New London Business and Technology Center right next to the course, thanks to a grant worth more than a million dollars.

However, in order to expand, they have to move several holes on the disc golf course.

The County wants to keep the integrity of the course so they enlisted Pro Disc Golfer and original course designer Paul McBeth to help with the changes.

“With Paul’s guidance and working with our Parks and Rec staff this course is going to be awesome. It’s going to look a little different but it’s going to be an incredible place to go play disc golf. We just have to get through this temporary closure first,” said Shelley Basinger, Public Information Officer for Bedford County.

Basinger said they are eager to get the course back open.

You won’t be able to play the course starting Monday.

They plan to reopen the course around Memorial Day.
