During the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, Detroit Pistons’ star guard Cade Cunningham made a significant impact as a first-time All-Star. His weekend included participation in the Rising Stars Game, the 3-Point Contest, and the All-Star Game itself.

Rising Stars Game: Cunningham attended the Rising Stars Game on Friday, February 14, to support his teammate, Ausar Thompson, who was representing the Pistons. Thompson’s performance highlighted the Pistons’ emerging talent.

3-Point Contest: On Saturday, February 15, Cunningham competed in the Starry 3-Point Contest. Despite being considered an underdog against top shooters like Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro, and Jalen Brunson, Cunningham showcased his skills. He finished sixth in the contest, with Tyler Herro ultimately winning the event.

All-Star Game: Cunningham played for Team Kenny’s Young Stars in the All-Star Game on Sunday, February 16. The game featured a new format, with Team Kenny facing off against Chuck’s Global Stars. Team Kenny was defeated 41-32, and Cunningham contributed five points and a rebound in his five minutes of play. Notably, he executed a one-handed dunk with Victor Wembanyama attempting a block from behind, marking a highlight of the game.

Overall, Cunningham’s participation in All-Star Weekend underscored his rising prominence in the NBA and provided valuable exposure for the Detroit Pistons.

  1. i dont know what you guys have been watching all year but what did you expect?! The weekend was exactly what i expected and definitely NOT the worse ever! Slam dunk was fire(usually isnt)Rising stars was exciting enough(especially seeing Amen and Ausar) and 3 point was as good as it couldve been(without Beasley). Everyday of the season most of the games are 💩

  2. 🚨🚨🇾🇪🇾🇪 This format is stupid . Bring back the old format. This all stars game format . Is not watchable .. 🇾🇪🇾🇪🚨🚨

  3. I wish they would go back to the traditional format East vs West. No two players with the most votes picking the teams or this one.
Then, we as fans could have seen more of Cade.

  4. I can see literally EVERYBODY on this team having an amazing last 27 games. the young guys should have amazing glimpses into their future. my picks are Cade and Ausar.

  5. i think Dennis helps Ivey too if we resign him. Ivey can be focused on being the bucket he is.
