They're just like any golf club. People like to believe goofy stuff they read on the Internet. I've raced dirt bikes for decades, having most all brands. Guys love to want to think KTMs don't hold up. Truth is I've found they hold up better. My older Huskys, the same. They just hold up well.
For the cost, it actually makes the Takomo look better. Especially since the sledge just happen to be more concentrated and seemed to impact on the edge a bit more. If you're raging out at golf to make that kind of damage, you probably want cheaper clubs anyway hahaha.
The Takomo irons seemed to bounce more when hit than the Mizunos. But they all held up well to the abuse and the price difference doesn't really show more damage to the Takomo irons.
dropping the head on a cement surface may resemble hitting a rock, but dropping a metal hammer on the club face has no relation to hitting the soft golf ball one thousand times, you may mot determine the wear of the club face from hiting golf balls like that
Current price for me with shipping and taxes, Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal $1113.00 Takomo 101 $571.34 You can get 2 sets of the Takomo's for one set of the Mizuno's. From a durability stand point, value for money, Takomo wins 99 out of 100. Are the Mizuno's worth it? That is up to the person spending the money. I love my 101's and don't plan to give them up for a while.
I purchased a set of 201 Takomos about 8 months ago and they have developed plenty of dents right at the leading edge and bounce. Before I got these clubs I played with Mizunos 221's for 2 years and none of the Mizunos have dents anywhere, a few scratches here and there but that's it. I reached out to Takomo customer support and provided pictures and they said, there was nothing they could do. IMOO, the metal used by Takomo is subpar and those clubs won't last long. Some of these dents are so big I can see them when Im setting up to the ball and that bothers me so I did the honorable thing and put my mizunos back in my bag.
Just another Takomo sponsored promotion. Bryan Bros are just trying to flood YouTube with fake hype trying to get this brand of the ground. This should have been compared to Costco clubs which better qualify and cheaper.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Take away. The two best looking iron makers in the game use good metal.
the terminator
I'd like to see a video of you cutting the 101t in half, to see what's inside.
Can you bend the lie on a 101 since theyre cast?
Always the best tests and content 👍
I cringed everytime … every single time… make it stop!!!
You should have teamed up with the guy at Project Farm for this one. 😅

watching you damage those makes a tear drop fall.
omg massive opportunity lost here to instead of testing "oops, my clubs have fallen off my cart" to test "bashing my clubs in a fit of rage" 🤣🤣
5:38 OMFG the phone in the line of fire ☠☠☠

My god what a useless waste of time..
OMG, what a waste. Nice test btw. But i wouldn't do that to my irons. Of course nothing a buffing machine can't fix.
Nothing feels like a Mizuno😂
Hi. Can you do a video on the impact tip trimming has on the flex of a shaft and how a player would react to it? Thanks.
I exclusively beat my irons against grass and artificial turf and they hold up well.
I think you made a nice video to answer a really odd question.
Lol the hammer test is a lot more than would ever happen on a golf course. Unless you drag them behind the cart 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, this video hurt my soul…
What are doin’?
The Takomo 301 definitely have a better dispersion although slightly heel biased compared to the 923 🙂
"Nothing falls like a Mizuno"
Winner for stupidest video of the day goes to this guy…… 🙄
