How I Gained 8 MPH of Clubhead Speed in One Session | DL Golf Tips”

In this video, I take you on my journey to increase clubhead speed with the driver after coming back to golf following years away from the game. When I saw how slow my swing had become, I knew it was time to get to work. Using a Trackman Indoor Golf Studio, I worked on techniques that helped me gain 8 MPH of clubhead speed in just one session!

Here’s what I cover to help you do the same:

• A wider stance for more stability with the driver.
• Adding spine tilt away from the target to encourage a better launch angle.
• Allowing the lead heel to lift in the backswing to promote a bigger turn.
• Using a slight overswing to create more speed and power.
• Replanting the lead foot during the downswing for added momentum.

Remember, when training for more clubhead speed, don’t focus on direction or strike—this is all about overtraining to maximize your swing speed.

  1. Just watched this back and not only was I trying to get my swing faster, seems like I’m talking a lot faster also 😂 amped up

  2. Great video. I’ve tried this a few times and proud to say I swung off my feet. So your balance is spot on for me 😂.

Will your peak swing speed naturally increase with this practice or will you need to do other things like strength or flexibility training?

  3. getting loads of great help with your content 👍… could you do something on early extension, its been hindering me for so long. I'm really trying to focus on pushing up on the lead leg to promote better rotation but I end up moving up and away from to the ball and if I do feel like I am staying in posture I end up off balance on my toes
