The head coach is not the problem. He can’t compete if he doesn’t have the roster to compete with his defense has been rock solid ever since he’s gotten there, but the offense has taken a nosedive over the last few years again the general manager continues to get pass after pass after pass but Mike Tomlin is getting thrown right over the bus and people are trying to force him out of the Steelers. It’s hilarious to me.
Sometimes things become stale
The problem in Pittsburgh is that that phrase “the standard is the standard” has gone from meaning greatness, excellence, and competing for Super Bowls, to now it’s all about being just good enough to maintain and sustain Tomlin’s streak of so many seasons without a losing record, and barely making the playoffs and being one and done

I think he is a good coach, but the team and the coach did a poor job of developing a quarterback while Big Ben was still the quarterback, but it was obvious his career was coming to an end. The Steelers should be drafting a quarterback in later rounds each year. The Steelers are in a mess because the Ravens and Cinny have pro bowl quarterbacks.

Tomlin is the problem. He micro manages his coordinators. He has the smallest coaching coaching staff. He is only coach without a replay assistant. He challenges calls based on what he sees on the jumbo trim. He only promotes from within. Which means he is surrounded by “yes” men. Ran ran Bruce out of town. He ran Dick L out of town. His locker room is garbage. I can Lee going but I’ll leave it at that

Mike Tomlin is a players coach. Noll absolutely was NOT a players coach. Cowher wasn't a players coach, although more loose than Noll. But both ran a tighter shop than Tomlin. Tomlin isn't a Pittsburgh type of guy. He's always been the problem.
The Pickens lack of effort seems to be a common theme with Steelers WRs during Tomlins time.
