  1. OK as someone's outside the USA. It was 3am on Wednesday morning so not watching live, no replays here, so I could only see very limited highlights on yt. The arena looks amazing. The format was terrible, alternate shot threesomes then 2 holes of strokeplay, each player hit less than 20 shots each. Great place for a bachelor party but that's about it, also not having Tiger and Rory play first match was just plain dumb.

  2. If they put that 40 second shot clock on tour, it would be phenomenal. (Would eliminate aimpoint) I think there should be automatic hammers when you are 2 or 3 points down. Otherwise it could be over too quick like this match.

  3. I understand why we didn't see much hammer. They need to figure out how to work more gimmicks in for next year. I enjoyed watching the 1st TGL. YES the clock is good for pace of play, but I saw a few rushed swings during Alt shot that I blame on the clock. Yep, I was that into it. YES, no time for smack talk and that's too bad.

  4. Swing and miss on every level did not watch it….obviously furthermore not watching this review either golf channel is a vested partner they want it to work team golf is not the answer virtual golf is not the answer big egos are not the answer I don’t even know the question poor Rory drinking the kool aid and tiger looking to stay relevant

  5. Get rid of this scrolling advertisements make you dizzy and cross eye remember on the movie the jerk you’re gonna give us the optic grab I don’t think I’ll be watching them. Play video games, perhaps it’s suitable for the teeny bops

  6. For me, everything that makes golf good is not in tgl.
The awkward stances, the horrible lies, the crazy weather, the emotion, the competitive spirit etc.
These are the things that catch my attention. Where you really see the artist at work.
I like the idea of tgl.
But at its core, it lacks so much of what makes golf great. It got boring, very fast.

  7. I think everyone is missing something here. The formula for success already exists and we’ve all seen it. I know it’s not a 1 for 1 but this is technically E sports with the player being the joystick. E sports. Trash talk is great if it’s natural but what we really want is passion to win. Difficult holes are great but we don’t want silliness. Why can’t the hourglass hole look like it was natural? There’s probably a place or occasion to be that over the top but when real designers make an island green they don’t make it a perfect circle. I could go on and on but “the hammer?” This is supposed to be a sport not a game show. If they want a bonus type thing they need to make it uniform. Why not make the final match worth more or something where a team back always has a chance to come back, idk. I’m 42 and a pretty huge golf fan. I went to the same high school as Tiger Woods. I play golf, I watch golf, I read articles and watch podcasts about it. I also am a tattoo artist, do “young things” like play video games, send memes and idk what else. What I’m trying to say is I think I’m closer to the target audience than a traditionalist. I was very excited for TGL but 15 mins in I found myself doing other things. I left it on but gave it as much attention as the tv in clubhouse when I grab a snack after the 9th. Oh and they need to get rid of all those other people on the field. I understand some are necessary but it took away from the 2 teams, us vs them vibe. This tech allows us to have fast, competitive team golf. They need to take a look at E sports and then make adjustments to fit this but I think they missed the mark pretty bad here. I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot but sorry for the rant and congrats on the Golf Channel thing 👍
