  1. Your chipping is suffering because you are lifting your head. I have the same problem. Cause when you are full swinging its harder to lift your head so when you are swinging lighter with chips it's easy to look to soon. A drill that I do is setup a camera behind me, press record and hit 10 chips and don't look up or where they go for 10 chips and then watch the video when you are done to see what your shots did with the feels that you had. I hope this helps😊

  2. Bento seems like a good kid and humble. Hope to see him make a highly successful career out of golf

  3. Kyle I had the same exact chipping yips as you
Here is the secret. Drink some booze when you play
My yips totally went away. Now I can swing smoothly even sober

  4. Where has golf etiquette gone swearing on a golf course swearing in front of a kid please let’s get back to having some manners on a golf course

  5. Kyle, you need to go see Dan Grieve to help with your chipping and pitching. Martin B went and it was a great video, he changed pretty much everything Martin was doing.

  6. Bento is a very good players Especially his long games Irons, wedges, bunkers but not a great putter yet😅.

  7. Try and hit the front of the ball, with all weight forward on short shots. I have not missed since I started doing this.

  8. I love that this kid hits a 52 out of the trap. I’m pretty certain he hits a 60 for short shots, a 56 for medium ones and a 52 for longer ones

  9. Had the same issues with chipping kyle, but what helped me was to use my big muscles and body/shoulders more. It looks like you get almost a but to handsy. I would suggest getting a lesson as I learned it was more of technique based instead of it's the "yips".

  10. Kyle, this is entertaining but also educational, its great to see a second taken to see whats a better choice. When I'm out playing along, I take the safe shot with my game ball and then try what are to me the risky shots, I really do better with he ricky shot and it teaches me you to not try them playing with others. Ilove a bump and runs over a high flop.

  11. I’ll watch for this young man in one of the up coming annual Porter Cups we have here in Niagara Falls , Good Luck !

  12. 6:30 in- I feel your anger… heh. I am getting a little better around the greens though, building confidence by staying away from anything remotely approaching a flop shot. Bump and run whenever possible, and that has allowed me to feel at least somewhat comfortable flopping when I absolutely have to (over bunkers, etc).

  13. This is amazing content, thank you Kyle!! I really, really wanted to come up with a prediction, before the round starts. My instincts are to give it to Kyle, because of the sheer distance he covers. But the best 14 y/o in the world?? He's gonna have phenomenal fundamentals, his approach game, short game, putting, everything. If this was a "real" match, who would Bookmakers give the edge to? Serious question, because I have no idea what a 14 y/o World Champ is capable of.. anyone have ideas, let me know!

Edit: Alright, i'll adjust my comment instead of just deleting it! lol — clearly this 14 y/o has the edge, statistically. I understand gold is not about sheer power and distance, this is not what wins matches and gets scores down to 75 and 80. It was a pure guess that Kyle would have the edge, but nope!! This kid is clearly the favorite! They're even through 2! Tremendous upload, can't wait til see what Kyle uploads in the New Year!

  14. Bento started playing golf here in Porto Alegre at the Belém Novo Golf Club. I had the opportunity to see him take his first steps, a kid with a natural talent. His parents, Isa (I miss the “Palha Italiana”) and Rodrigo, are very nice people. I hope to see him at the PGA soon!!!

  15. Kyle …I worked as an uncarded "Pro" at Pitch and Putts in the 1980s…was a "low handicap Amateur" officially, so I had a good short game and my weaknesses were from inconsistent sand play and tee to green play. Your length is great…about 100 yards farther I am, or was I am guessing…I liked your 1 putts on the 1st 2 holes! Anyway, on the 3rd hole, that pitch you chunked into the slope can be fixed by focusing on a forward weight shift (to steal Jack Nicklaus's idea that you should try to have no more than just 1 primary swing thought during a shot). That quick forward weight shift ensures you hit the ball 1st on a slight descending blow. Check out Paul Runyan's Book .."The Short Way to Lower Scoring". I am 65 now, so between age and back and elbow injuries I went back up from 0-4 Hcp to about 14 or so (rarely play now). But like any armchair quarterback my mind still imagines near fault-free play! Don't let a "fluffed chip" or "fat chip" bother you too much…use a heavy sand wedge which is great in GRASS BUNKERS, so fluffed chips will almost totally DISAPPEAR from your game! Keep up the GREAT DRIVING!!!
