This turned out to be a huge surprise, Rawlings and Wilson ended up battling it out but Mizuno snuck in with a budget mitt option as well. I got a custom made Nokona first base mitt in 1979 from a scout for the Cincinnati Reds that is still in great shape. Far and away the best glove I ever owned. Much better than my Rawlings double ca-thud
Bought a Wilson A2800 12" in 1996 to start my freshman year of highschool. Still play 2 seasons of slow pitch a year with it to this day. Amazing mitt. All my gloves are A950-A2000s for me and my kids because of the quality of that first mitt

Have you tried a Mizuno Pro first base glove? Or Jax? If you like them can you put them on your website to purchase? I'm having a hard time trying to find a new one to purchase.
The 13" Mizuno Pro H web made from Kip leather is the best 1st Basemen's mitt ever made! Once broken in the H web stretched a little and molded to ball, it creates the best pocket ever, almost like a lacrosse stick. It makes turning dps easy because the ball is in the exact same spot every time, it is also one of the bigger 13" models so it increases your range.
Nice gloves but they're on the wrong hand. Lefties are far superior.

Put your new glove under your car tire. Back up over it over and over like 20 times. This breaks in your glove super fast. Easy peasy.
in order to play first base you have to catch a lot of throws from the other infielders whilst keeping your foot on the base – and some of these throws will be in the dirt or bad. And you can get a special glove
