ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If it’s a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. My practice swing is always more relaxed and flowy compared to my actual swing😂 this video definitely turned a light on👍🏽

  2. As ever Danny your teaching is effortless. Great communication- and having watched your video I'm off to the range with a bag of shopping!

  3. As ever Danny your teaching is effortless. Great communication- and having watched your video I'm off to the range with a bag of shopping! 5:09

  4. Another good set of solid advice. Thanks. I recently watched one of your lessons that used a “hockey swing, with split hands”. I can’t relocate that lesson. Can you help me find it with the name of the lesson. Thank you

  5. Often times, when my driver shots start going a bit wonky, I tend to try harder on the next shot. That tension usually just makes it worse. Resetting to a relaxed swing usually brings me back online. Thanks for the reminder Danny. Teeing off in two hours. ⛳🏌🏼‍♂

  6. After watching your videos over the last six months, I have finally been able to do this. I was a position person and still do check on video every now and then as I tend to over rotate the forearms and whip the club inside. The heavy towel drill has been excellent at helping me with tempo, rhythm, weight transfer, and speed. Thanks Danny!

  7. Nice one, Danny. Would it help to add some weight to the club head to create this feeling? Like a lead tape. I can feel it with irons but the driver feels too light to feel the woosh

  8. Danny, I realize you are not a sports psychologist but I can do this when I am on the range but when I get on the course and playing money games with my friends, things can get a little tight. Any ideas?

  9. Thanks Danny. Brilliant as ever. Hand injury at the moment so laying off the golf…..but this will be the starting point for my getting back into it over the next few weeks when I'm fit again.

  10. I had a dream that one day, Danny toured across NW Ohio, and my wife and I were able to get 1st hand lessons 😂. Thanks for all the great content, Danny!

  11. The two main things I have a problem with mentally when trying to swing free are:
    – when i try and swing free that starts with a looser grip, which makes me feel like i'm going to end up losing my grip on the follow through and throwing the club across the tee box, so the grip gets tighter and thus tightens up the rest of my swing,
    – coupled with the lose grip, swinging looser makes my wrist strength feel much weaker and like i'm going to end up hiting behind the ball by two feet due to my wrists breaking on the downswing. I'm not sure how to find the sweet spot

  12. Very timely Danny, I've been hugely struggling with exactly this problem the last few weeks. Even if you can relax on the range or in the simulator, it's a whole different story out on the golf course. Can't wait for it to stop raining so I can go try it out!

  13. Danny you have a way of delivering the message that keeps the viewer relaxed and focused (well for me anyway!) Merry Christmas mate!

  14. Thanks for the great video! I’ll have to try this. I know I’m too rigid and try to control the ball, or try to aim the ball down the fairway.
Could you, or have you done a video on getting the right(trail) shoulder to drop⬇️in the downswing, instead of going forward➡️, forcing the clubhead to come across the ball?

  15. I'm sorry but I just don't buy it. You hit the ball 253 with no body movement, total arms, no hip turn, and a super slow swing. This is exactly my swing. My average drive is 170. I just don't think the simulator is accurate.

  16. using the shopping bag trick is very helpful. so much easier to get the club going on the intended line. just have to trust the body to find the easiest path. thank you Danny.

  17. My problem is my hips get stuck. Once I get to the top of my backswing I know I need to rotate my hips before starting my downswing yet I can't do it consistently with any coordination and tempo. On the occasion when I do get the hips rotating (and not sliding forward) the ball goes a mile (fairway woods and irons. I can't hit a driver to save my life) with very little arm strength. I hope your heavy bag drill will fix this. Thank you Danny! Happy holidays to you and your family!

  18. Excellent job Danny in explaining that a driver swing can be effortless if we just "let go!" Remove the tension from the arms and shoulders and let gravity and the club do the work! Well Done Danny!

  19. As much as I love the lessons and that’s a lot. I associate with your dad’s results a lot more.

  20. Hi Danny, after watching your video this morning I went out and posted a 77, my best score ever. It included a bogey on each of the last three holes because I started to get nervous when I realized how well I was playing. I really appreciate your coaching from all the way on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. I turned 70 three weeks ago so now shooting my age is in play, thanks to you.

  21. Any thoughts on using same length shafts on your irons, as seniors bending over is awkward!

  22. Worse Golf video I ever seen…. I used it and hit the ball further than I did before…. Won't use it again.. Drives going a bit too far…
