In this week’s episode of The Kevin O’Connor Show, Kevin is joined by Tate Frazier to dive deep into the biggest storylines in college basketball, with an eye on the 2024 NBA Draft. They break down the top prospects, sleepers, and potential steals in a packed episode.
Cooper Flagg continues to dominate as the top 2024 draft prospect, and Tate and Kevin discuss his impressive defensive play, his development potential and how he might fit with NBA teams like the Philadelphia 76ers. They also take a look at other high-level freshmen like Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper, and explore whether someone can challenge Flagg for the #1 overall spot.
The conversation shifts to some intriguing draft sleepers, with Tate spotlighting Labaron Philon from Alabama and Kevin highlighting Collin Murray Boyles, who draws comparisons to Draymond Green. They also discuss Egor Demin from BYU and whether he could make a push into the lottery or even the top pick conversation.
The guys also talk about UConn’s rising stars, including Liam McNeeley and Alex Karaban, two prospects who are seeing their draft stock rise early in the season. Tate weighs in on UConn’s chances of a three-peat, and Kevin breaks down how these young players are developing under Dan Hurley’s system.
Finally, they touch on the state of the Charlotte Hornets, with Tate sharing his thoughts on LaMelo Ball and the future of the franchise as they look to build around the promising Brandon Miller.

He turns 18 in a couple weeks. So we won’t be saying he’s 17 for the whole season
Isn't it Cooper Flagg?
BRUH. STOP. Terrible Hornets take. He is our Luka. He finally has a coach who challenges him. This will bring the best out of him. LaMelo is the Asset that will help Miller. They are 1 year apart in age. They need to hit on this year's lottery and it will be the best move.
Woah, is tate allowed in here?
Egor demin will clearly be the best player from this class. Everybody else has some major flaw in their game. Only guy who has potential to become a top 12-15 player in the league
Cooper Flagg au Jazz serait parfait et Danny Ainge fera tout pour l'avoir avec des picks et Markkanen comme monnaie d'échange.
His name is airious lol not air
I think Dylan Harper will be the steal of this Draft.
Cooper Flagg = Nic Batum 1.5x Andrei Kirilenko 1.5x
ask me why did copper flaggso owen score 13 and owrn got 2 read balances against. kanaas nov. 26 2024
Guaranteed the coach never does that again.. he was spoken to..
My eyes tell me Dylan Harper is the #1 pick. My ears (from you) says Flagg. I also think Derrik Sengun 🥴 errrr Queen is the steal of the draft.
Catch up the flag should’ve stayed in high school. He ain’t ready for college. Quit making excuses for him. He’s only 17 when he does great things he’s only 17 and he does bad things. He’s only 17 stayed in high school. You’ve been all right.
Normally, your friends are player or generational player is also gonna be your leading score on your NBA team and if you say you don’t see flag being that then your number one draft pick then how is everybody saying? I’m sorry some people are saying that this guy is a generational player either I must be blind. They do play for University Auburn number zero is playing better right now and Cooper flag is he on the bench flag is a generational player what is Pettis?
45 minutes and not 1 mention of Egor Demin?
Dylan Harper is the #1 pick
