I’ve never seen an easier way to hit driver straight than this. In this golf lesson Danny Maude well known for providing super simple golf tips that work has created another cracker.
Danny will show you that it’s impossible to hit driver straight for most golfers because they already have a slice or hook baked into their set up. In this golf lesson you will discover a little unknown set-up fault that could be ruining your golf swing.
As you will get to see though, this simple golf tip is the easiest of adjustments and will have an immediate impact on your golf swing.

ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If it’s a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

hi danny great video you should try working out a lesson for people to see these mistakes and then the right lesson to fix that would go done really well but not a easy video to make
Another great simple lesson to understand how things work ina golf swing
Once again Danny, brilliant! On the way to the course and will definitely be paying attention to the two dots! Thanks!❤
Good morning from Illinois US.
Let's freaking go 🏌️
Putting tips in the near future?😎
Great lesson. To keep the dots at the proper angle through the finish I try and keep my eyes on a spot on the back of the ball at roughly 7 o’clock (12 o’clock being pointing down the fairway) through body tilt; that is also my aiming point for the club to get the in to out path.
Please do a lesson on hybrid clubs
brilliant lesson Danny….still a bit confused why you turned the angle of the driver in step one to 11 o clock……should we all do that with the driver?
Great content and so simply explained! Thanks Danny! ⛳🏌️
My driver is all over at the moment think this will really help love the videos easy to follow and explained really well 👍
I did not understand the beginning “ square to your arms”? 😢
Good lesson. Thanks
Great video Danny, thank you. I would LOVE to get a live lesson with you on this exact subject, because if you can fix my driver swing, then you truely are the master of golf! 😅
I ‘rewind’ Danny’s driver swing and watch it over and over again. Zero effort and +270 yards. I put every ounce of my body and soul into my swing and scrape 205 yards. All my energy is being expended in all the wrong directions 😭😭😭
Impeccable logic. But that's the difference between vision and implementation. Maybe I'm schizophrenic because I can feel what my body has done after the bad shot, but I'm, for the moment, incapable of having the same thought before I hit the shot. I suffer from two independent influences – the brain and the body. Still a work in progress at 78.
Great instruction, easy to follow, having not used a driver for 12 years , this is a game changer.
That is the most simple explanation to fix a slice. Great solution easy to apply. Thank you 👍
I noticed the trailing edge/back of the driver OFF the ground…rather than being flat…it would be impacting/reducing the FACE/ degree of LOFT of the driver…say a 11degree becoming a 10 degree loft…apparently offset by the height of the tee…what would happen if we started the set up, with the club just lying on the ground(thus keeping the loft of the club the engineers built), THEN run through the set up…methinks, the height of the drive itself will be much higher, and perhaps more distance?…I see this at the local driving range when I am going through my own work, with folks in the next bay, and they hit the ball flat with no height to speak of…after I lose control and just HAVE TO ask if they are doing it on purpose, they change it, and boom, the ball is hit with more authority…and big smile results…any ideas on how to keep an eye on the back of the club lying flat to be part of set up for all clubs?
Great video Danny! I think this is one of your best! It's easy to understand and I am going out to now give it a try!
Another brilliant lesson! This is not only spot on, it's a very easy drill to work on while using the range. No aiming sticks needed.
Danny can you make a video to the players that hit the ground before the ball with their drivers?
What a great tip Danny 🙏🙏🙏
That's not a slice. I'll show you a slice.
Great video Danny. Thanks.
Danny I love your videos! I recently started having big issues with my driver. Lots of hooks and very low ball flight. I usually hit 1-3 degrees up and it’s still launching at 8 degrees. Im assuming I’m closing the face but I just can’t seem to stop!!! Help!!
So I'm definitely guilty of the problems with the slice. How do I maintain the tilt you talk about without falling onto my back foot? I also have trouble comprehending how I continue to come over the top even if I'm keeping my trail shoulder down and through. My club face is still coming from the outside no matter what change I make.
I feel like I could hit draw, fade or straight with this concept. thanks again danny. very straightforward.
Great video. I'm all about simple, take it directly to the course stuff. In fact, my playing partners often call me simple! Thanks for the tips.
I've been taking my setup while I have the grip in my hands as loose as possible I leave the driver where it's at but just turn my upper body clockwise along with my grip and arms and then regrip the club. It seemed to work wonders especially with driver
"Big big slice" – for me thats almost straight 😅😅😅😅
Need to work on this, I don’t even use my driver due to bad slices, only irons. Thanks for the video.
Correct
Paul and Bob? I've heard of Neal and Bob.
Another enlightening lesson, easy to understand and apply, thank you again Danny.
But if I may I would like to ask a question.
Unless I’m mistaken I haven’t seen a lesson of yours (I watch them all) in which you address the question of the early wrist break.
I’m currently reading Joe Dante’s Four Magic Moves in which, in his opinion, this is a fundamental key, especially to not coming ott or out to in.
I would be very interested to know your position (or even better to see a video in which you explain it).
With thanks and best regards.
Tim
Incredible teaching display. Can you do a similar lesson with the iron swing?
Given my shot tendencies I think must be related to both Bob and Paul, seeing as I can do both variants even in consecutive shots on the range!
Your videos have made a world of difference in my slices. You provide simple easily done recommendations that have dramatic impacts. Thank you
When I try and tilt the upper body behind the ball I seem to hit the ground before the ball. Not sure what I am doing wrong
Danny another brilliant video
Loved this. Changing your grip to fix ball direction is nothing new. Because I have tried that with no lasting results. But the missing and key data is after closing the club face you set up as if it is "square." That is what I was missing. That changes the path I am assuming with the elbow thing you are talking about. And it is all in the setup. No extra swing thoughts are necessary. Which as I am getting older, I have less room for in my head!!!
Another very good video – consistent with your general approach of the arc and swing path. In many respects similar to your video of 25th October – left hip higher and forward, which has been a key change for me over the last month, delivering straighter and longer drives, and getting rid of (or reducing0 that slice. Thank you
Hi Danny
Hit my woods real good but irons a little left most times can u help me
Regards
Steve
I am like Bob…thank for these anti-slice videos for driver. Can you please do some anti-slice videos for long to mid range irons (5,6,7). Thank you
I just went to the simulator club today and used this video to hit the ball. I was hitting the ball great. Thank you
Excellent job Danny in helping your two students out with their challenges! I have been working on your "magic circle" and it has really helped me with my shot making. Now, I can add your "magic dots" to my tee shots and I will be on an "all systems go!" Well Done Danny!
I don't think I have missed a Saturday lesson for as long as Danny has been doing it and even if I see me hitting poor shot I know why and try not to do it next time
Hi Danny. Long time fan. "Lower dot" could, perhaps, be described as "belt buckle." Thanks for all your great coaching videos!
I am not a slicer but I always enjoy your videos that help those that do…..keep em coming!
