  1. Great convo- And great point about Thomas Brown being more than deserving of serious consideration, based not only on his Bears track record but his background. The talented Offensive mind = great next Head Coach thinking is what got us Matt Nagy. Everyone at the time said Nagy was a no-brainer homerun hire. And it was, until it wasn't. So people need to pump the brakes on Ben Johnson being the Holy Grail of head coach hires. Having said that, I want a HC who has his own offensive scheme, creativity and playcalling acumen. We don't need a defensive-focused guy whose OC is leaving as soon as he achieves success with the Bears. Former head coaches can make great defensive coordinators. So that post ca be refilled without affecting the QB's development and continuity. The offensive side of the ball needs an identity and continuity during CW's rookie contract window, and hopefully beyond. In an ideal world, Thomas Brown could be our Sean Payton. 2. Something big about TB being in the building and possibly being the next official HC, he was were to first hand witness the shit show that was Matt Eberflus AND Shane Waldron. Learned all the things NOT to do with the players on this team

  3. Why is it so hard to believe that if they had better coaching against all three divisional opponents, they would have beaten them all? They literally took them all to the wire with the chance to win the game. It was in their hands.

  4. I’ve been a fan since 1974. When Eberflus came out this morning I can honestly say I was done. I’m still shocked that the McCaskey’s allowed the right thing happen.

  5. 2:30 so f-ing funny. The one bears official that talked to the media today is the guy that got fired. This team is such a circus

  6. They go 2-3, even 1-4 and play decent, he's hired. He's cheap, and can be bossed around, the Bears way. Hire Vrabel tomorrow if we want to win.

  7. Matt Eberflus has traumatized our future in QB Caleb Williams, teammates, fans and perhaps now the healing can begin. But I must say this feels sorta like the Wizard of Oz when the wicked witch got ended. Traumatized but relieved.

  8. My sense is that as much of a change having Warren in ther, and Poles, is that to fire the HC who still has 2 years on his contract they needed George to sign off.

  9. It has to be someone from the offensive side of the ball-so you can build continuity for Caleb-I do not want to see him with a new OC every two years and good DC are a dime a dozen and easier to find

  10. It does not matter what offensive guy you bring in if your offensive is shitty and your defensive line is mediocre at best.

  11. next year sign a free agent center and first three picks offensive line., free agency or draft defensive line help and Secondary still needs help especially with Briskers health.

  12. Imagine shitting on Ben Johnson as a head coaching candidate because he didn't put 52 up on the Bears dropping their PPG to a paltry 31.9 while championing Thomas Brown for checks notes averaging 22 PPG in his 3 games as OC, good for a 19th place tie at 22 behind such offensive juggernauts as…Seattle? Pittsburgh? Come on, guys. Let's see how his second swings against the Division go when they have tape on the guy before we anoint him.

  13. lame duck , for lame duck, and the media is happy, this T brown dude was OC for Bryce young last season, imagine that. he must be very good, now he he here and not with panthers.
media wont tell you this OR make it a talking topic. nah all good, until its not.

  14. What a horrible take! Thomas Brown? Really? They need to search far and wide for a REAL head coach. It would be so Bears to go cheap and think they got their guy with Brown instead of looking at real, serious, high-end candidates. Gotta get this right. Houge and Jahns, you need to watch how real NFL offense operate. Brown is already over his head

  15. My worry about keeping Thomas brown as HC… Even if these last 5 weeks go well… They just cant keep Chris Morgan. Im sure hes a nice guy. He has been a terrible o line coach. And he doesn't seem qualified to be run game coordinator. No one in our oline is outplaying their skill level. If anything they play worse.

  16. I just hope Thomas Brown is a "football guy". Not necessarily a meathead, but also not one of the overly analytical awkward people we've been hiring since Lovie.

  17. Adam, they put Brown in the booth for his benefit. Not Caleb's. Don't know who's idea that was. So he could see the whole field.

  18. I hate that people still pretend that Poles "picked" Eberflus. He was TOLD, "we paid Polian to help us, he's given us 3 good options. You can choose from them and you'll hit the ground running." Isn't it interesting that 2 of the 3 were COLTS coaches? That entire thing was a joke.

  19. Why should we trust Poles to hire the right coach? His drafts are not great and his free agents and trades are not good. Interesting how Poles gets a pass from the media 🤔🧂🐻👇

  20. The Bears need to exercise caution when it comes to Bellichick. Yes, a decade ago, he ran a tight ship, but for the last half decade he ran that ship into the ground. He hasn’t won anything without the greatest qb of all time, who eventually left the team because he got tired of putting up with his crap. Is this the guy you want to hand Caleb Williams over to? Buyer beware.

  21. The reason Poles didn't want to go after a high profile coach like Harbaugh was he didn't want to give up any of his power or control to Harbaugh. And if the team won, Harbaugh would get all the credit.

  22. It should be as obvious as the cold air outside in Chicago this morning that the Bears shouldn't even be interviewing defensive coaches for this job. Job #1 for the next Bears coach is to provide our QB with a coherent offensive scheme that he can grow in the next few years. Not jerking him around from one OC to another because you have some defensive head coach. Don't even bring Brian Flores or Vrabel or any of these people in here for interviews.

  23. this is such a bears thing to worry about…first its oh no caleb will have to learn a new system if brown is not kept…then brown gets interim hc and its oh no caleb is not going to be developed because brown has more on his plate and/or brown will have to stand on the sidelines to call plays vs upstairs. Being a HC is not rocket science, its about leading men and being able to delegate and hold ppl accountable. brown can delegate pretty much everything and focus on the offense, washington will be the new DC playcaller, hightower the S/T duties.

  24. Brown is NOT READY for a HC position. Jumping 2 tiers to HC is piling the plate a little high! I would like to see him as OC for a FULL season running HIS OWN offense before I'd feel comfortable with him at HC. Johnson or Shanahan would be GREAT!

  25. Then what? Keep Brown next year and pass on TOP HC candidates? THAT sounds like a BEARS move. The CHEAPEST way. If you hire someone, you probably lose Brown for OC.

  26. Jury still out on Brown lets see what he does and go from there. I want Kyle Shanahan he will get the most out of Caleb.

  27. George hired Poles, then Flus , where does Warren stand in the responsibility of this MESS? Poles is in the SPOTLIGHT now! What hires happen NEXT will define his legacy.
