  1. Recently started using the butterfly grip (#3). I saw an immediate improvement in line and distance control! Squares the wrists, elbows and shoulders.

  2. I used the claw grip and I’ve tested it and it works so well for me I’ve never holed so many putts before so when I tried the claw it works for me

  3. I’m a 2.5😉 lead hand low but like some connection with my trail hand… and #4 lead hand low is way too low for me!

  4. I started with #1 but evolved into #2 which has seen a lot of improvement in accuracy and pace. I may try some new ones soon though because sometimes I'll miss a really easy putt while making a really difficult one.

  5. Great comment Chris. Thank you. As one who has tried them all for at least a full season each I’m currently using the Japanese method with mixed results. Great on short to medium length, poor on the longer puts as I’m getting inconsistent results with this grip. My default grip is basic with my trail hand just having my index finger straight down the grip as I find it provides me with more consistent shots from a distance to enable an “easy” second short put. To add something extra to this is finding the right hosel for the way you actually put, which to me plays a bigger role. My Spider GT (red like yours) is designed for a straight back and forth swing, where yours assists with a slight ark in your swing. It’s an easy one for people to check just by balancing the shaft with two fingers and seeing if your putter face remains pointing up (for a straight back and forth) or has say a 45 degree offset. You’re a much better golfer than I am so please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks Chris. 👍😎

  6. Sorry Chris. Got to disagree. The conventional reverse overlap is the only way to hold a putter. As soon as you move away from that. It’s all over. KISS keep it simple stupid.
How many Really great putters use anything different ??
