As tragedy strikes the NHL, Sekeres and Price takes a look back at the life and career of longtime Flame, and recent Blue Jacket, Johnny Gaudreau. The guys look at the impact he made on and off the ice and his many big moments, including those against the Canucks. Patrick Johnston of The Province also stops by with some his memories after covering Gaudreau over the years. PJ also gets into the other hockey news, as there are now questions about the health of the top 2 Canucks goaltenders going into training camp, after Arturs Silovs was pulled off of Latvia’s roster at an Olympic qualifying tournament. TSN’s Farhan Lalji also has input on the Canucks goalie news, plus he joins the guys from the Victoria’s Royal Athletic Park and sets the scene as the skidding Lions get set to play the RedBlacks in Touchdown Pacific.

  1. As a flames fan Johnny brought such a amazing memory of the OT winning goal to get us to the second round a memory I’ll cherish forever he was so much more he served our community for 9 years I couldn’t be more grateful to him and I’m sorry to his family it’s so painful

  2. Brutal, cant imagine what his family, friends, teammates and especially sister are going through 🙁

  3. I think they MUST get off to a great start… confidence is what allowed the Canucks to get on a roll. Once you will a few games in a row the confidence builds and pucks just seem to go in.

  4. Honestly, I couldn’t care less. Many die everyday and they don’t get a public tribute. So why him, why idolize him? Idolization is a real problem. My brother died in a car crash, a great man, very talented, where’s his notoriety? Nobody cares. All of you with your fake thoughts and prayers are liars and pandering… after the long weekend you’ll have no thought or prayer. Hippocrates and fraudsters run rampant. It due to self righteousness and virtue signaling
