  2. Well just saying collegiate athletes are still more professional athletes in the usa then the non-professional teams they were coming up against. Just think you get a free education free accommodation free coaching free food and free travel to competitions against high level competitors. Verses people who are working to pay for money to pay their ways and play in teams that even if a high level are at best paying for a coach and medical

Although it was amazing to see all those legends playing together at once, sometimes I find it rather hilarious that this is pretty much a consequence of the USA not reaching the final for the first time in 1988. I mean, imagine reacting to your second ever defeat like "screw this, from now on I bring my NBA stars"
