How will Caleb Williams come out of Hard Knocks in the public’s eye? Hoge & Jahns have some valuable perspective here, given that they’ve watched him in person the last few weeks. They dig into some Hard Knocks expectations before diving back into your Mailbag questions concerning o-line, punter, and yes, Justin Fields.

  1. Wouldn’t be upset if they made a big move regarding the offensive line. If they signed Conner Williams and traded for a solid tackle I would be pretty ecstatic. One of the few pieces left to get right (on paper)

  2. Jfs only shot at starting happened, Wilson is hurt. There is no "creative NFL oc" that can work with a QB that wants to throw deep to wide open Wrs or run the ball. Pitt fans are about to find out.

OL concerns were and still are a huge issue, and hoping that Jenkins and Davis would just find a way to be healthy was foolish at best, for the GM/HC should be a giant black mark against them. OL could have been a larger focus in FA or in the draft, instead it was a minor inconvenience for them.

  3. Caleb can help himself and his line a lot with a quick release, which is something Fields lacked. We might be able to run slants this year.

  4. There's no better Bears podcast in the land! Great episode as always gents

  5. Yes let's trade away a second round pick for another defensive player when the offensive line is extremely average and injured

  6. I seriously don’t think that Toomer thought it through before she spoke. Let’s just say Williams is Wilson 2.0 then that means the Bears win the Super Bowl next season and we play for another bit hope the right play is called this time. That also mean the Bears are in contention for the Super Bowl for the better part of 10 years. Damit I’ll take that right now.

  7. Does anyone know if Hard Knocks will be shown on YouTube at all? After it being on HBO of course????

  8. Poles spent a 3rd round pick on an injured OL, that needs to be a guy that can contribute.

  9. I've said it a 100 times, we are the Miami Dolphins of the NFC. Built from the outside in. The majority of the salary is with Wrs, TEs, CBs, and LBs. Patch worked DLs and OLs never win championships. Hope I am wrong, but name one team in the last 20 years that have won a Championship with an average OL and DL

  10. Carm sounds like an ass. A punter that can control a ball off his leg the way a top QB can control the ball with his arm is an absolute game changer (and a common theme among these foreign kickers/punters where foot-ball sports are more common. UK, Ireland, Australia, etc)

  11. I trust in King Poles. He has done an excellent job so far and he can see that the line is crumbling. I'm sure he will make some moves to help out Caleb.

  12. It’s almost impossible to listen to all the hand wringing and fear mongering of Hoge. So mired in what is and could go wrong. From a listener since the beginning lighten up!

  13. Do you think it’s the coaching? We seem to have a lot of injuries every year with flus in training camp. Idk, just tired of all these injuries

  14. They are fucked. The o-line will get injured at some point and even when 💯 they are trash and pretty boy can throw over the line. All Caleb cares about is his 💅👗👠
