Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms honored by GolfersVoice

Karen Motroni of Crowfield, Phyliss Lepore of Rivertowne, Sara Murphy of Charleston Municipal and Rose Maglietta of Wescott combined for a gross score of 67 to win the Charleston Area Ladies Golf Association Scramble played March 18 at Rivertowne. The team of Kristen Biety of Charleston Municipal, Diane Lovejoy of Dunes West, Brenda Griffin of Wescott and Kari Bos of Snee Farm won low net honors with a score of 53.2.

Charleston County Parks Golf Tournament

The Charleston County Parks Foundation will hold a tournament April 13 at Charleston National to support the foundation’s projects. Current foundation projects include the Genesis Swim Safety Fund, which supports aquatic safety programs in rural Charleston County; the Nature Stewardship Fund, which is focused on preserving, protecting and managing natural resources throughout the Charleston County Park system; and the Cultural History Fund, which aids in cultural and historical research, preservation, interpretation and education.
