shang is the real deal from asia, not nishikori. let him get some muscles and more importantly stamina, this kid will go very very far in the future. 100% to become the best player from asia for sure. was outplaying thompson left and right, was only tired thats why he lost. thompson didnt win it… big difference.
Nishioka just hangs in there, returning balls, defending and only occasionally playing aggressively. It was good enough out there. That hard court looks slow. It's possible to win by playing defense.
He's TWO feet shorter- GET IT!
