  1. Wind…. OMG! Maybe the focus is more on hitting it high and far, rather than just hitting it close.

The weather hasn’t been bad at all for an Open venue.

  2. People giving him grief in the comments, he’s a million times better than all of you who probs can’t keep a score under 80. You opinions literally mean nothing

  3. Rorys narrative leading up to this was the “back nine is tough , it’s a grind” …. He set himself up mentally to fail on day 1 and it happened … trying to create interesting sound bites for the press is killing his mindset …. He has go go within and create a winning narrative if he is to progress now

  4. Curious to see how fast he packs up and leaves this major. Couldn’t be as swift as the US open, right?

  5. If regular tournaments were set up as Majors, we'd have a roulette for winners. It is so set up for the whims of chance; Bryson and Rory don't even make the cut; but DJ does etc….yes, some are consistent in most…in fact that is Rory and Bryson…but if this was set up as a regular event, we'd have the actual best ball strikers winning more often. As it is, it's who's hot, and who gets lucky bounces.
