The First Tee sets the tone for the rest of your game.

[Music] [Applause] [Music] hello and welcome to today’s segment of golf etiquette 101 videos my name is Paul Gomez and now for what’s likely the most nervous moment of your round of golf the first tea if you’re going to the tea box with something other than a driver why don’t we take at least three clubs the one you think you’re going to strike one more and one less devices like these are meant to make your round faster so please if you’re going to use a laser or a GPS take the clubs with you nobody wants to see you going out to the ball and then back to your carts to get your clubs if it’s not your turn to hit let’s be sure that our phones are on silent and if we’re going to play music be sure it’s okay with the rest of your orome and if you do let’s not make it so loud that people on the next TX can hear it when you’re watching the other players in your force them strike the golf ball it’s okay to ask them am I okay to stand here not everybody wants you directly behind them or maybe in front of them find out where they would like you to be so that you’re not obstructing their game when it is your turn and you hit your first t-shot and it’s not exactly like you wanted it to be let’s keep moving no Mulligans no breakfast balls we’ve got people behind us let’s keep it moving forward let’s avoid a running commentary as well I know I hit a bad shot I don’t need you to tell me where it went also watch your temper most of us aren’t good enough to get as mad as we do after we hit a bad shot did you hit a bad shot four is the word we yell so that other people on the golf course are aware there might be an incoming golf ball and finally after you strike your ball if you leave a divot on the tea box let’s fill that divot with sand every one of our golf carts is equipped with one of these bottles of sand fill it with sand put it back in your cart and let’s go play remember good golf etiquette makes for a great golf experience
